Alte Mühle Friedersdorf in Heidesee

A really great kitchen with a “real” chef who knows his craft. We'd love to come back. Be sure to reserve seats!

The restaurant is in a very quiet location and looks super cozy both inside and out! Unfortunately we were now sitting in the doorway area, where you couldn't feel the feeling of the old mill. The food was generally good. One criticism would be that the Hollandaise sauce was most likely a finished product, which is something I would wish were different from a good restaurant. The burgers were cold and the sauerkraut with the knuckle was unfortunately not edible due to all the salt. Even if you squinted a few times while eating, it was still a successful evening.

Alte Mühle - very inviting in every respect: super tasty offerings, very friendly, courteous staff and charming interior. Chosen spontaneously and totally thrilled.

The schnitzel was hard, the fried trout was bland and quite small, the potatoes were dried on the outside and not warm/hot. We waited a long time for our food and perhaps it sat there for a long time before it was brought to us. No recommendation

We ate catfish with mashed potatoes and leeks/apple vegetables and ox cheeks with Brussels sprouts/almonds. The fish was exceptionally good. Crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside. This is Michelin star worthy without exaggeration. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is so friendly, you really are a guest here and are lovingly looked after. Highly recommended, we will be back, thanks to the team for the wonderful evening. ❤️

Went to this lovely restaurant on our boat trip. Service and quality were top. The daily recommendation was the best catfish I have ever eaten.

Duck was good but less seasoned.

Very cozy, nice atmosphere, interesting development, from a mill to a restaurant. I ordered Viennese Backhändel (chicken leg), unfortunately the chicken meat came in a thick breading and was also baked in the deep fryer, so it was very greasy. Breading tasted like fries and old fat. Then unfortunately there was no Snickers ice cream, and neither was second choice Rafaello. It's a shame it had to happen to me of all people, the birthday child. Service was nice, also due to the many guests over two floors.

A beautiful location and the service was friendly and quick. However, the food left a lot to be desired. The garlic bread had just thawed and was therefore cold and soggy inside and the champions with the schnitzel were totally watery instead of creamy (probably from a jar or can). Too bad!

Very busy, own parking lot, small but good selection on the menu. Staff is moving quickly. Nice outdoor seating and great ambience in the restaurant.

Food doesn't taste good. Wiener Schnitzel resembled a cutlet. Pork cheeks taste like nothing Side dish of carrots frozen food tasted delicious. Wasn't fresh. Were there in the spring and all the food was very good. At the moment I can no longer recommend this restaurant.

Very nice outdoor seating. We were looking forward to a cozy evening with good food but were unfortunately very disappointed. Just briefly in Telegram style. -Rose wine 25 degrees from the shelf -Beer warm -Canned seasoned meat -Matjes gray from the pack (it was matjes weeks) -Matchy salad -The waiter asked if it was tasty, we said no and before we could tell the next guests what went wrong, he disappeared. So never ever again the outdoor seating was the only positive thing.!!!!

I absolutely loved this place. It really gives you the German authenticity vibe.. The building itself is beautiful, with a very cozy and quiet atmosphere, great food, kind people.

Went here spontaneously to eat and reserved a table at short notice. After a short wait we were served quickly. The food was first class and tasted really good, but the potion sizes could be adjusted for tall men 😜other than that everything was perfect

We have visited here several times and each time we have had a fantastic evening with excellent food and a great ambience. I have to particularly emphasize the extremely friendly and funny service. We felt very comfortable and always enjoy coming here. Absolute recommendation!

The mill is a very impressive building which gives the beer garden a special atmosphere. The food is very tasty and the value for money is definitely reasonable. Although it's completely true, everything from ordering to appetizers to eating went very quickly. A great restaurant that we happily recommend!

The herring was great! It could have been the schnitzel and the trout if they hadn't stood together in the oven for 15 minutes because the service or the kitchen neglected to prepare them as second courses. Now you ask yourself, what does a chef think a guest will think when he gets a dry, bitter trout with lukewarm potatoes or a lukewarm, savory schnitzel - which smells like fish - with stale fries? This had an absolutely amateurish level of hospitality

Unfortunately, we were greeted very unfriendly by the blonde, short-haired service person. At first we were shown to our seats with annoyed gestures. When we asked if we could sit in a shady place, our eyes rolled and we were offered another table. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so it really shouldn't be an issue. When the drink was taken, the response to a question was again stroppy. Actually you should have gotten up and left. But since we were very hungry, we endured it after I told the lady to please serve her guests a little more friendly. The food was okay, but not great either. Overall, I wouldn't want to come here again. A good location not only scores with good food, but also with friendly service so that the guest feels welcome. Friendly goes everywhere! Very nice historical location, quick service, great beer garden. The dish was very tasty, but craftsmen wouldn't really get full here, and the portions were rather medium-sized. Still a full 5 stars.

Since we come from the Spreewald, we were very impressed with the mill. There is nothing comparable with us. Very friendly STAFF. Menu is highly recommended. Thank you for the excellent service.

Were there today. Discovered by chance due to the unusual location. Nice ambience, prices, like everywhere else these days, are quite high. We ate the classic: asparagus with schnitzel. Very tasty in itself, but the meat could have been from the pan. Unfortunately this was prepared in the hairdresser. The homemade iced tea was very tasty. Update: Thanks for the reply. Then I apologize for the insinuation. But from the feel of it, it wasn't a freshly breaded piece of meat.

Location very nice. The starter promised so much because it was so delicious. But the main course, e.g. Wiener Schnitzel is way too small with 4 croquettes at an exorbitant price. Steak au four was also much too small, with tons of inedible seasoned meat on top. A pity. Service very friendly.

It was better. Unfortunately, I met a short-haired employee who screams at you when you arrive if you don't put your bike in the stand, but rather in the shade a meter away. She has a commanding tone like a general and walks through the ranks. I don't want to give any further details here. It's impossible for a service person! Really incredibly good food at fair prices. The location is of course also great. One point is deducted for the short-haired, stocky waitress who, thank God, didn't serve us, but who subtly portrayed the two younger male waiters as incompetent in various ways every time she passed by. The type and form of the taunts were very unpleasant and not funny for all guests. The young waiters played it off confidently, but for the well-being of the guests and for team spirit, I strongly recommend rethinking the personnel. Greetings and see you next time!

Let me put it this way, maybe we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time (Mother's Day), but as good as the food was, it is always unpleasant for guests when the employees (yes, in this case it was only the two female waitresses). ), gossiping about other guests or making fun of them next to the guests. With sentences (from my memory log) like “I served them extra slowly because they were walking across our lawn” or “Even if they make a reservation, I assign seats here”. You feel really uncomfortable and the negative impression remains to this day. I'm just assuming an exception in the revised state. Our very young, male waiter, on the other hand, was super friendly. But for the food and the location I would still come back and give the place a chance.

We celebrated our son's youth consecration with around 40 people with lunch, coffee & cake and dinner in the Old Mill and were very excited. Great food, great service and good advice. A wonderful day for our whole family.

The condition was super friendly. I ate a Berliner Eisbein and it really picked me up. The skin was super buttery soft and the pork was super tender. I can only recommend it.

2 years ago, we were happy with the food, but today it was very cold even at. 2nd time. Were very disappointed. It wasn't worth the money.

Stopped in with the children in the late afternoon on Saturday and had dinner. An unusual place with history, great selection of food with prices slightly below usual, friendly and courteous service. Small play area outside for the kids. Any time.

Very good German restaurant with a cozy beer garden and a nice, well-kept atmosphere. We had pork cheeks which were buttery soft and the trout Müllerin style. Both dishes were very well prepared and the salads, side dishes etc. were all homemade and really tasty. This is no longer a given today.

What a romantic ambience, inside and out, the history as a Dutch mill goes back to 1856 as you can read about it in the menu. Pretty small menu but with regional cuisine, my “Berliner Eisbein” was very tasty 😋 and everyone else at the table enjoyed it too.

Super delicious food and quick and friendly service

Had dinner there with my wife. After an unfriendly seating assignment, we ordered something to drink. The drink came after about 10 minutes. The chosen food came after what felt like an eternity. A seasoned meat and garlic bread were selected in advance. What came was a herb bread that tasted like old bread and an indefinable flour mush. The main course for my wife a salad plate looked good and tasted so-so. I ordered grandma's goulash with dumplings. The food was so salty that it was inedible and I sent the food to the kitchen through the waitress saying it was inedible. 10 minutes later the waitress came again with a plate of goulash to offer it to me. I politely declined. One Coke was then generously not taken into account on our bill. In my opinion, a disgrace. This restaurant won't see us again. There is definitely no recommendation among our friends and acquaintances, more of a warning not to eat there.

It's been a while - but it was great :-). We will definitely stop again on the next trip to the Baltic Sea.

Great food and the best hospitality.

In December 2023 we ate there with 4 people. In addition to other dishes, we also ordered 1/2 duck twice for €24.50, which was very tasty and freshly prepared and served. Because of these good experiences, we went again on January 27th, 2024 and there was 1/2 duck on the menu, which we also wanted to order for 4 people. Unfortunately the duck was out and we were offered duck leg for €19.90. This time our meal was a disappointment. The duck leg was warmed up, but hot, but dry!!! The sauce and the red cabbage were only lukewarm, so we lost our appetite. Garlic bread was offered for €6.00. Not only very expensive, but also not even toasted bread and not tasty. Stay away from it. We asked the waiter to pass on this justified complaint to management in the hope that they would apologize by making concessions. But far from it. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend over €100.00 for this service to other guests and will not be coming back again due to this arrogant treatment.

The old mill is the best restaurant in the whole town. Four of us ate there. A really great ambience with a fireplace that creates a brilliant atmosphere. Veal liver was very tasty. Zander fillet with a leek-apple-sweet potato creation. However, the leek with apple was almost raw and devalued the dish. Schnitzel with cauliflower and fries or croquettes were too soft and not very seasoned. Croquettes are incredibly tasty. Kaiserschmarrn, great peacock sauce and tasty ice cream. The complaints were communicated when paying. Maybe it was unique. Will eat there again.

Eine wirklich ungewöhnliche Location in einer historischen Mühle, welche in der Region ziemlich einmalig ist. Besonders toll ist die regelmäßig wechselnde Speisekarte und ehrlich gekochte Speisen. Wer die gute deutsche Küche liebt ist hier richtig und hat sogar die Wahl, auch mal ein Saisonal angepassten Burger auszusuchen. Wo findet man heutzutage noch solch ein Angebot. Ein Stern Abzug am Ambiente muss leider sein, jedoch kann die Mühle dafür eigentlich gar nichts ( Bahngleise im Sommer und WC ) beides kann man nun einmal nicht einfach so ändern, dass gleicht die Mühle und das Team aber locker wieder aus. Alles im allen 4-5 Sterne Gesamtbewertung, sprich Daumen hoch und somit eine absolute Empfehlung
