Unfortunately only 1 star. First we were lured, then we didn't get a card. After about 10 minutes we received 1 ticket for 5 people when we asked. Answers to questions were consistently ignored. Unfortunately not good service. We left without ordering.

We had two sundaes and a waffle. The strawberry cup was like soup, when I politely asked a waiter if I could get a new ice cream and wanted to explain myself, he was immediately rude and told me off with "I have nothing to do with this, tell the waitress!" on his colleague. Wow, rarely experienced something like this. He didn't even want to let me explain. The request for a change in the Amarena cup expressed when ordering was also forgotten. Sure, it can happen, but with the other factors it creates a bad picture. When the waitress finally came and I asked her if I could get a new cup (not touched, mind you, and waiting for her), she took it back without a word. No statement, nothing. Even when I got the new cup - there was an annoyed silence. As someone who works in the catering industry myself, I am shocked at the terrible service. Unbelievable. We wanted to end a beautiful day with enjoyment and had to have a miserable experience. Sorry, if you can't get along with people, you should rethink your career choice. Real tourist trap. Never again!

Unfortunately our water glasses were dirty and so were the spoons for the ice cream. The tables are not wiped down. You just go over it once with a cloth previously used by customers or wipe the crumbs off with your hand. I felt very uncomfortable and my daughter, who is not normally fussy, couldn't eat her ice cream because the dishes were just dirty.

The waiters don't take care of the customers and stare at you without even taking your order, they are just in a hurry to collect!!! Avoid if you don't want it to end in a fight!!!

Scam. We were first brought the wrong drink (that could still be corrected). Beer wasn't tapped enough (no foam was the bottom line) and we were ripped off when paying. We didn't get a bill and had to pay €20 for two beers and an iced tea... according to the menu, a beer was €5.80 and an iced tea was €3.50. All in all NOT RECOMMENDED. A pure tourist trap, the kind that catch people off the street...

Scam, unfriendly, not tasty - so NO I sat there for the first time, although I was always advised against it, the drinks were very bad and had nothing to do with the cocktail I ordered, my crepe also had nothing to do with the one in the picture, then the waiter said “Brother that is I would have liked to complain about it, but as unfriendly and arrogant as the unkempt waiter was, I didn't want to cause any more stress. If I could put 0 I would have, the worst experience of my life in an ice cream restaurant, run away and run away again. Great start, nice service until we tried to pay. 5 people asked and had to wait more than fifteen minutes to pay. And if you say something about that, you get a big mouth. Very sorry. And oh yes, the lamps are so warm that several people asked if the heaters could be turned off. Very angry reactions that they are lamps. But they don't have to be on during the day at 26 degrees either. 😀

Well, I wanted a vanilla milkshake and I only got vanilla milk and it wasn't even cold. Son ordered a fruit cup. It didn't look anything like the picture. At most 2 scoops of ice cream and a few fruits and then Demand €10.50. I would advise against eating ice cream here

The service is very friendly, but please don't expect too much from the food on the menu. Very bad for the price you pay, if I have to speak from experience. Lasagna that I took had a specific taste and smell... I pushed everything on one side to give it back.

We ate crêpes there today with fruit and it was really just disgusting! After we complained about it, no one came. I advise you to just walk past it...

We were there today and ordered a chocolate milkshake and a spaghetti ice cream with strawberries. The waiter even repeated the order in front of us (and correctly). We got a chocolate cup and a spaghetti ice cream with strawberry ice cream. My friend also ate his chocolate cup instead of the milkshake. We then pointed out to a waiter that I hadn't touched the ice cream and told them that the order was wrong, actually for both of them. The statement then came that he would let his colleague know. This came with the bill after a long wait! It even had spaghetti ice cream listed underneath strawberries. He then lied that we had ordered it that way. Very poor and substandard service... We advised the guests next to us, who were already annoyed by the waiting time because they had not been served/attended to at all, to get up and leave. Cologne has enough ice cream parlors, you should really avoid them if you don't want to be ripped off.

We went there on a Sunday, we got seats at lunch hour. The salmon was really good. The snitzel was nice too. The cold beer from fass was a good one. The service can be a bit slow, if busy. The prices are a bit on expensive side for the portion size.

Unfortunately the waiter was very unfriendly! It was clear that he was annoyed with his job. He insulted the Spanish European Championship guests sitting next to us in an incredibly inappropriate manner with the words “Do you think you are the only guests here!”, even though they only asked for two more glasses. Absolutely not possible and is very embarrassing as a European Championship host country!

Salmon was over cooked and dry. The drinks were good but the server made a point to tell us that service was not included. The service was sub par so make sure to bring extra money to pay for the servers to do their normal jobs.

Here for the euros. Server very rude, not once did he tell us no card payment until asking for bill then had the cheek to charge an extra 22 euro for using card.

Unfortunately, I had a very, very bad experience with one of the employees. His behavior was very rude and there were no multiple ways to pay the price (he said there is cash only, no card payment). I told the problem to other employees, he answered me in a rude manner, then I wanted to talk to the café manager, they didn't want to tell me who the manager was, and what was worse, the employee told me "Pay now and never come back ", really I would never go there I hope you take my opinion into account and adjust the behavior of the employees.

The Wienerschnitzel was quite small, dry and sometimes very thin...

Very friendly service and delicious waffles

Just had a little something, Bruscetta classico, which was very tasty and beautifully prepared. The aperitif was also very good for me.

Cocktails are so tasty, big and chic. I really liked how the waiter helped me choose. The same one with a tattoo on his neck.

Unfortunately, both the food and the service were absolute horror. The crepes taste like cardboard and are totally over salted. The ice cream doesn't taste anywhere near what it should taste like. The waffles are rock hard and taste burnt. When we asked the waitress that we didn't like the food, she immediately became abusive, changed her tone and accused us of having already complained last time (even though we had never been in this area, let alone in this restaurant.) I can only advise against going here. I have never been treated so badly in a restaurant or given such bad food. Not worth a visit.

Very impolite. People take away the fact that you only have to pay with the card from €20 onwards. If you don't see that, you'll be thrown out. Without a sign or information that payment with card is only possible from 20€. Not recommendable.

Visited in a group of 11 for breakfast. Staff were initially lovely and very accommodating in taking orders and bringing out drinks. Food (when it arrived, see below) was good. Main issue we had was after this with service. Food was brought out sporadically with the last 3 on the table still not having food after 40 minutes (everyone else had finished by then). Upon enquiring with the waitress it appeared there had been some mismanagement in the kitchen and it took a further 20 minutes to bring out 2 orders. Remaining order (the easiest of the lot - a plain crossaint) was brought out after a further 10 minutes and was still frozen. The waitress did nothing to apologise and when items on the bill were queried (1 person had been charged twice for his coffee) there was no means of an apology or willingness to help sort things out - just a menu thrown in his direction so he could calculate his own bill. Same waitress proceeded to angrily walk around the table very abruptly taking payments without a word when it was made clear that she should probably not expect a tip (tips are for good service and not mandatory). Plenty of other choice immediately nearby so didn't return.

We went to the Aloha Bar for the first time today. Chocolate crepes with vanilla ice cream were delicious. Our waiter (his first day today) was very friendly. We have rarely received such warm, friendly and respectful service in Cologne's old town. We will come back in any case.

The menu had some interesting options. A lot of big impressive drinks and desserts. However service was really slow. Took a while before someone came to take our order, when they did took a long while to bring the drinks and when the waiter arrived he brought part of the order wrong. Instead of just taking it back, he insisted that that was the order. Bringing what was supposed to be the right order ended up being full of extras that I didn't want, but was taking long enough, I just accepted it.

I ate pizza and am very happy with it. But the Italian waiter with white hair has to learn to behave! 1. Made the bill higher than it was and simply gave the change to himself 2. No receipt offered 3. Bullied me after I called him in again to correct the bill (5 € difference) - complained, said I should just have a candle on the table - maybe a man would come to me (??), a few Minutes later spontaneously came to me with a paper plate - I should take the rest of the pizza and go... And there are enough free tables at that time (just happened!) That can't be true, right?? If you behave correctly - you get a reward, but that's clearly not possible when you behave like that towards customers!

Google emailed me today (March 20, 2024) to say that the owner feels his personal rights have been violated because of my review. And now here it comes, after more than 5 years!!! He doubts that I was his guest. I should now show proof that I have been there after more than 5 years, otherwise my entry will be deleted by Google after 7 days. When I read through all the negative entries, I'm not the only one who gave this bar that rating in my review. Apparently other visitors are increasingly looking at the reviews and changing their minds. I am attaching an excerpt from my Google timeline as proof.

We may have been there is a wrong day, but after being convinced by a waiter to join, we ended up in a table with smokers around (despite the area being closed due to cold weather), and felt a little pressured by the waiter to chose a plate and the food was just OK. The bill did not come with the detail of the order and I feel I have probably paid more than actually costed our order. If you give it a try, pay attention to these details.

Right from the go the male host our the front, the two female waitresses were very rude, despite our efforts to smile at them and treat them politely. I could see the pressure the staff were under to get customers to order more food and drink as every attempt to get us to order more than a drink and dessert were met with eye rolling and very audible huffs. The toilets were disgusting. The city officials should be ashamed at allowing a very obvious tourist trap to continue operating.

Ich wurde noch nie so unfreundlich behandelt wie hier. Wir wollten uns draußen hinsetzen und hatten den ersten Kellner gefragt ob da etwas frei ist. Er meinte nein wir könnten uns nicht setzen und war super unfreundlich. Der zweite Kellner meinte wir können an der Theke was bestellen aber draußen wäre kein Service. Drinnen angekommen meinte ein anderer Kellner, dass wir wieder raus gehen sollen, wir würden draußen bedient werden und dürfen nicht drinnen etwas bestellen und mit nach draußen nehmen. Als wir dann gesagt haben, dass die Kellner zu uns meinten sie dürfen uns nicht bedienen, sollten wir selber raus und die Kellner darauf ansprechen, dass sie die Gäste draußen bedienen müssen. Das haben wir dann auch gemacht alles natürlich in einem freundlichen Ton. Der Kellner meinte aber wieder er würde uns nicht bedienen. Ich bin dann alleine wieder reingegangen und auf den ersten Kellner von drinnen zugegangen und hatte ihm gesagt, dass wir wieder abgelehnt wurden. Ich sollte ihn zeigen, welcher Kellner das war. Daraufhin sprach er den Kellner an, wieso er draußen keine Gäste bedient. Seine Reaktion war super professionell, er fing an mich vor allen Leuten Vorort anzuschreien, dass ich bescheuert bin und er mich nicht bedienen würde und schrie noch weitere Dinge. Hinterher hatte er jeden Gast draußen bedient außer uns. Auch sonst kam keine richtige Entschuldigung oder irgendwas anderes. Umgang mit Kunden und Service wird hier definitiv groß geschrieben…!

Schlechteste Bar in Köln! Espresso Martini ist kein Espresso Martini, die haben keine Ahnung von Cocktails. Wir mussten 31.50 euro zahlen für dass wir keinen schluck trinken konnten. Wir musste das Getränk zurück geben, nach 30 sekunden und der Chef, unfreundlich! Nie wieder🤢

Habe einen Cocktail bestellt und bei Rechnungsstellung wurde behauptet, ich hätte einen anderen, teureren Cocktail bestellt und bekommen. Barkeeper (auch der Inhaber) wurde sofort pampig und unverschämt. Wir reden über 2,20€. Alle anderen haben bestätigt, dass ich im Recht war. Scheinbar ist dem Inhaber eine Kundenbindung keine 2,20€ wert. Zumal es auch noch sein Fehler war. Habe bezahlt und ihm versprochen, dass weder ich noch der Rest der Truppe nochmal wieder kommt… trauriger Laden

Om op te warmen wilden we een tas soep eten. We kozen voor de goulashsoep. Dit bleek eerder een gewone tomatenroomsoep met paprika en enkele stukjes vlees erin te zijn. Zeer kleine portie voor €7,80!

Wir haben wirklich sehr viel spaß gehabt, vorallem mit der lieben Bedinung André die uns liebevoll empfangen hat und, die mit uns sehr viel gelacht hat.

André war sehr nett! Bier war auch lecker. Gute Atmosphere ⭐️! Zudem war die schnelle Bedienung von André dem Kellner grandios. Eine Empfehlung wert!🫶

ACHTUNG! Eis ist aus der Packung. Garantiert NICHT selbstgemacht. Schmeckt sehr schlecht und ist überteuert. Ausserdem dauert die Bestellung sehr lange. Typische Tourifalle.

Das Primavera-Frühstück gibt es für schlanke 15 Euro, dafür bekommt man Aufbackbrötchen und lieblos angerichtete Billigwurst. Das Ambiente ist super, dafür zahlt man aber auch ordentlich drauf! Ich empfehle, das Frühstück im Hotel oder einer anderen Gaststätte zu genießen.

Stumbled upon the Aloha CocktailBar at about 11pm after a business dinner and had a great time. Our server was wonderful, attentive and had lots of fun stories, the drinks were strong, the food was great, and the location was fabulous. Great place to sit and people watch!

Extremely rude staff who I had to call several times before they took my order. At least two of them outright ignored me. Mediocre ice cream.

Bedienung fischt die Kunden im vorbei gehen und wirbt mit den besten günstigsten Cocktails. Leider ist einer der Gruppe drauf reingefallen. 😂 die Cocktails sind zwar stark aber nicht gut.

Waren zum Mittag hier. Der Kaffee war nur leicht erwärmt und Optionen für Veganer gibt es nicht. Das Bier wurde in einem Glas mit sehr viel Flecken serviert. Das Eis war okay, aber auch nicht gut. Allgemein eine tolle Lage, das Personal versaut aber leider den Aufenthalt sehr durch die unfreundliche Ausstrahlung und Unaufmerksamkeit. Kartenzahlung war möglich bei 18 Euro, einen doofen Blick, weil kein Trinkgeld, gab es trotzdem.

Essen war super. Wartezeit etwas länger, aber dies wurde offen kommuniziert. Wir würden wiederkommen. Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Schöner Blick auf den Rhein. Viel Auswahl an Essen und Getränken, für jeden ist etwas dabei. Hat auch gut geschmeckt. Etwas teuer und die Kellner leider nicht so freundlich gewesen. Für eine kleinen Hunger lohnt ds sich dort einen kleinen Besuch abzustatten.

Beim Kölntrip auf diesen Laden gestoßen. Vermutlich der einzige Laden in Köln, in dem man sowohl Currywurst, als auch Pizza, Schnitzel und Schweinshaxe bestellen kann. Bin mir sicher, dass der Koch mir auch Ente süß-sauer gemacht hätte, wenn ich nachgefragt hätte. Cocktails waren lecker, aber Wartezeiten teils lang, wenn es voll war. Service wirkte teils leicht überfordert.

La comida no es tan buena en relación al precio de los platos. Pedí un postre de manzanas y en interior tenía hongos. Tienen mucha variedad y el ambiente en las mesas de afuera es lindo.

A custom made crepe was no problem, the waiter (Karl) was very friendly and had good suggestions! It is a nice location near the Rhein with a well equipped terrace.
