Ich war alleine da und konnte durchgehen. Die Bedienungen sind das allerletzte. Arrogant und faul. Ausser einer männlichen Bedienung mit dunkler Hautfarbe. Er rennt nur rum und bedient alle Gäste. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Was ein Glück haben sie diesen jungen Mann eingestellt.

Schneller und freundlicher Service, gutes Essen und einen tollen Blick auf den Rhein, was braucht man mehr an einem Frühsommerabend.

Wir wurden an einem Samstag mit der pampigen Bitte uns selbst was zu suchen, empfangen. Erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen und Einschalten der Chefin wurde uns (6 Personen) ein größerer Tisch zugeteilt. Das Essen ist ganz okay, früher wohl besser? Seelachs-Kibbeling war leider fad und verträgt mehr Gewürze. Die Garnelen in Öl sind lecker. Aussicht ist sehr schön und Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden.

Man konnte direkt am Rhein sitzen und die Atmosphäre war sehr schön Die Toiletten waren leider nicht sogut zugänglich.

Ich hatte im Voraus einen Tisch für zwei Personen mit Aussicht im Innenbereich reserviert. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir jedoch an einen Tisch mit zwei anderen Personen gesetzt – mit Blick auf die eigentliche Aussicht. Das Personal fragte uns nicht einmal, ob das für uns in Ordnung sei. Das entspricht weder meiner Reservierung noch meinen Erwartungen.

Jedes Mal wenn wir im Rheingau sind, besuchen wir Allendorf am Rhein. Der Wein ist sehr gut, echt süffig und preislich top! Dieses Mal hatten wir Kibbeling mit Pommes - ich darf sagen: die besten und krossesten Pommes, die ich je hatte. Herrlich! Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch 🍷⚓️🐠

Wir haben einen richtig schönen Tag im Allendorf am Rhein verbracht. Wer draußen einen Platz ergattert, wird mit einem fantastischen Blick direkt aufs Wasser belohnt da kommt sofort echtes Urlaubsfeeling auf! Man sollte allerdings unbedingt daran denken zu reservieren, denn gerade bei schönem Wetter ist es verständlicherweise sehr voll. ​Obwohl die Karte sehr fischlastig ist, war das für mich gar kein Problem: Da ich selbst weder Fisch noch Meeresfrüchte esse, war ich gespannt, ob ich fündig werde – und ja, es gibt wirklich leckere Alternativen, sodass man nicht nur bei den Beilagen hängen bleibt. Der Service ist dabei super freundlich und sehr herzlich. Man wird hier direkt geduzt, was dem Ganzen eine herrlich ungezwungene und familiäre Note verleiht. Das muss man natürlich mögen, aber für uns hat es perfekt zu der entspannten Stimmung am Rhein gepasst. ​Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen sind allerdings die sanitären Anlagen. Wenn im Sommer Hochbetrieb herrscht, merkt man schnell, dass ein paar mehr WCs nicht schaden könnten, da man doch öfter mal anstehen muss. ​Fazit: Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen mit tollem Flair und einer tollen Crew. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Hier ist es wie in einem Kurzurlaub.... Tolles Ambiente direkt am Rhein, super nettes Personal und leckeres Essen. Großer Sandspielplatz für Kinder, sehr Familiengerecht. Ich komme mindestens 1x pro Woche hier her. Nur zu empfehlen🥰🫶🏻

Lage toll, Bedienungen sehr freundlich. Essen ok. Aber liebe Betreiber: diese völlig nervige und zu laute Trashpop-Musik, die dauerhaft lief, ist nicht nur überflüssig. Uns hat sie veranlasst, eure Lokalität früher zu verlassen, als geplant. P.S. Wir hatten freundlich nach Reduzierung der Lautstärke gefragt - Fehlanzeige.

Wir waren am Ende eines entspannten Sonntagsausflugs im April erstmalig zu Gast gewesen und sind sehr angetan. Das Hafen-/Strandbarambiente ist sehr schön umgesetzt. Wir saßen drinnen und konnten den Ausblick auf den Rhein mit der grünen Winkeler Aue genießen. Der Service war super freundlich und fix. Wir hatten Kibbeling: es ist keine Gourmetessen, aber es war alles sehr gut zubereitet, stimmig und schmeckte uns sehr. Natürlich gibt es auch leckere Weine direkt vom Winzer. Wir waren begeistert und werden wieder kommen.

Nur zu empfehlen, Reservierung zu empfehlen. Schönes Ambiente und schneller Service. Nur Kartenzahlung möglich.

Wir sind hier mit 6 Personen Abends zum Essen gewesen und waren total überrascht was für eine gute Küche uns hier geboten wurde. Ob Fisch, Krustentiere oder Fleisch alles beste Qualität! Preis Leistung absolut gerechtfertigt.

Gestaltung des Orts: wirklich schön! Service: freundlich, aber hat uns nach Ankündigung zum Wiederkommen einfach vergessen! Essen/Preis: meine Sardinen in Zitrone und Olivenöl kamen in der Dose. Für 12€. Ich dachte ich falle aus den Wolken. Für mich ziemlich inakzeptabel. Hat trotzdem geschmeckt & anderes Essen sah besser aus.

Was soll ich sagen, man fühlt sich hier wie im Urlaub. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet 👌🏻 Getränkewahl ebenfalls zufriedenstellend. Zim Thema Service muss man sagen, dass es hier 4 von 5 Sternen verdient hat aufgrund der langen Wartezeit, tipp dazu: einfach per QR-CODE bestellen, geht viel schneller✌🏻

Fantastisch! Aufgrund des schönen Wetters war es unglaublich voll, aber trotzdem wurden wir sehr schnell bedient. Die Snackkarte ist auch super! Und es gibt einen idealen Spielbereich für Kinder, auch für Kleinkinder. Und das alles natürlich mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Schön sitzen, direkt am Rhein. Supernette und schnelle Bedienung. Preise mittel bis teuer......wie gesagt ist die gute und zackige Bedienung hervorzuheben.

Coole Location am Wasser, mit leckeren Fisch Gerichten und gutem Wein. Auch im Winter jederzeit einen Besuch wert.

You can't see it from the street (containers and old walls), but it's a very nice restaurant with surprisingly high-quality fish and chips. We were there in autumn, but it must be very, very beautiful there in summer (right on the water)!

Nice location. Especially if you're cycling along the Rhine, it's worth stopping here. We also ate there in the evening and were disappointed. The menu sounds good at first glance. But, with a fish burger, I expect fish, not a fish cake... Especially not for that price. We ordered the steakburger medium. It arrived cooked well and only lukewarm. Great atmosphere. Food, better elsewhere.

The location is beautiful, with a view of the Rhine from the spacious terrace. The ambiance is very pleasant. We had a fish dish and a vegetarian dish, as well as dessert, and the food was excellent. The drinks and food arrived promptly, and the service was very friendly. The value for money was definitely good for us. We felt very comfortable.

Two of us spontaneously stopped in for lunch today. We received a very friendly welcome and ordered the classic kibbeling with fries. The fish tasted excellent, and the fries were extra crispy. A perfect all-round experience with a great atmosphere. Thanks again for the very friendly service. We'll be back.

We went there for the first time today. It was a really nice location. The food (octopus burger and pasta with prawns) was absolutely delicious. The service was also very friendly; we'd love to come back :-).

I came here to celebrate my birthday with my husband and my mother on the last day of August, and the staff made the evening really unforgettable. The food , the wine, the service were amazing. We all are very grateful and really recommend this place. We will definitely come back again,and not once.

A lovely spot on the Rhine to enjoy the Rheingau with a glass of wine and good food. Despite the proximity to the B42, you don't notice it and enjoy the view over the Rhine. Very relaxed service, and we even got a parking space right in front of the entrance on Saturday...😅

We arrived shortly after 12 noon today. We didn't have a reservation, as the website says there are always free tables! We were greeted by an unfriendly waitress who immediately said it would be a shame without a reservation. We took a seat right by the water in the blazing sun. We asked for the wine list and were rudely told that wines were listed on the menu. But that only lists wines by the glass, not bottles!!! A customer next to us was treated unfriendly and loudly by another waitress, and then we got fed up and left. Once and never again. Simply unacceptable!

Very good restaurant on the banks of the Rhine River. Very pleasant place, attentive staff, delicious food. It takes a while to serve the food. But very good.

It was a beautiful day with delicious food

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We were there on a Saturday lunchtime, and there was only one table occupied. We ordered two salmon sandwiches and two drinks. We had to wait a whopping 35 minutes for the sandwiches. The sandwiches were served carelessly on a tin plate without any decoration. In our opinion, €9.50 is way too much for a sandwich with two thin slices of salmon. Conclusion: We don't think paying over €30 for two sandwiches, a glass of beer, and a grape spritzer is justified.

I highly recommend it. A day of vacation in a wonderful island setting. The food was also delicious. 😋

That's all well and good, but I find the inability to pay with cash abysmal. Those responsible should consider where this is leading. Namely, the abolition of cash, and that would be a catastrophe.

Conditionally. The drinks arrived quickly, but the food didn't arrive after an hour, despite complaints. Because the service team is divided into tasks rather than tables, no one feels responsible. Mismanagement and a lack of communication between the kitchen and the service team.

Very cozy and atmospheric on the Rhine – we always enjoy coming back! 🌿 The atmosphere is truly lovely. One small wish for the future: It would be great if there were a separate smoking area outside, as is common in some European countries, such as Sweden. This way, all guests could enjoy their stay undisturbed.

We were there on a Saturday lunchtime. The ambiance was lovely, but there were a few drawbacks: only one other table was occupied at that time. We ordered salmon sandwiches. The wait for these two salmon sandwiches was a whopping 35 minutes. They were served rather carelessly on tin plates, without any garnish. We're happy to pay a little more for good, tasty food, but €9.50 for a pre-baked sandwich with two slices of supermarket salmon is, in our opinion, way too much. The food prices overall are very high at this restaurant. We won't be going back.

The Allendorf am Rhein beach bar is a great location – right on the water, with a beautiful beach area, and everything decorated in Sylt style. You immediately feel like you're on vacation. The staff was friendly, and the food was good. One small downside: The ordering system, which uses a QR code with a table number, is unfortunately quite chaotic. The waiters often spend a long time looking for the right table, which somewhat dampens the otherwise very positive impression. The restrooms were also not in good condition ☹️ – regular checks would make a big difference. What bothers me most, however, is the fact that you can only pay cashless 🙁 Cash is freedom, a little tip-off for the owners! If you're looking for a special ambiance with a vacation feeling on the Rhine, this is the place for you. However, there's room for improvement in the organization, the restrooms, and payment... 🤷🏼‍♂️

A lovely fish snack bar. We sat there and enjoyed the fantastic view of the Rhine. Orders are made digitally by scanning the QR code and ordering online. As far as I could see, only cashless payment is possible – I don't know if there's an alternative. Overall, though, it was a pleasant experience for me.

It still has a lot of potential. Currently, it's somewhere between a "self-service" beer garden and a pseudo-beach club. The food and drink selection is very good and relatively inexpensive. You can order everything online, which is also very quick. However, real service is barely present. The ambiance is unfortunately far from that of a beach club, and even less so on Sylt.

Allendorf is, of course, a familiar name to a local. Now we're wondering if they've franchised it. We were there years ago and were very satisfied. So, we were looking forward to the evening. However, we were bitterly disappointed. We had a reservation, but were only seated upon request and rather carelessly, and then forgotten. The server, whom we then arranged ourselves, didn't even say hello. When we asked about the ingredients in a drink, the only response was "no idea." The water we ordered wasn't still, but sparkling. Okay, it can happen. A person was forgotten during dinner, and then they were delayed in serving. No apology, nothing. The food was okay, but nothing special. Our table had been rebooked for 7 p.m., but instead of being seated elsewhere, we were frantically shooed away and hurriedly paid. My request for a bill was met with "there's no time for that right now!" Okay... the waitress enjoyed her performance and strutted between the tables like she was on a catwalk, which was embarrassing. What a shame about such a great location. Never again for us.

Love this place. (Relaxing) I think it is best to make a reservation prior to visiting this great little gem. The food is delicious and reasonably priced and the wine is a little bit overpriced but I felt worth it considering the atmosphere, food, and service. Omar and the Allendorf team took great care of us from the moment we arrived until we closed out our tab. My fish and chips were wonderful and my wife enjoyed her veggie burger. The fries that came with both were hot, crispy, and delicious. What made today special was the perfect temperature, the sunshine with a cool breeze, and Omar checking on us from time-to-time making sure we were enjoying our visit. Parking can be tricky, but just plan ahead. We will definitely be back.

First-class service. First-class cuisine. Great place. If you've reserved the boat dock, it shouldn't be occupied. Please keep an eye out for that. However, we were lucky. The boat owner who was moored invited us to a package. Thank you so much for that.

We had reserved a table, which was assigned to us. We had to wait forever for service. Our order was taken, and then nothing happened. Then the food and drinks all arrived together; the service was rather odd. My fish burger was only lukewarm. Bottom line: I don't need that anymore.

The seating here is truly beautiful, right on the Rhine. Unfortunately, the service isn't particularly attentive. We had to ask three times to get water for our dog. On top of that, the reservation didn't work out properly.

The ambiance is nice, but even for dinner, you sit on wooden benches without backrests. It's not suitable for a longer, relaxed gathering. We ordered via QR code, and the food arrived in what felt like five minutes. We didn't have any drinks. The value for money isn't right in our opinion; the steakburger, for example, consisted of a bun and a thoroughly cooked slice of meat (for almost €20).

My wife and I were forced to stop at this restaurant because our reservation from the previous day at the Allendorf wine bar in the Brentanohaus was canceled. They returned our confirmation email but didn't inform us separately. Customer service is a different story. The staff at Allendorf am Rhein were attentive, and getting a seat was no problem despite having reserved tables. Because many cyclists stopped here, along with guests arriving by car and on foot, the atmosphere was very lively. No matter, the main thing is that something decent ends up on the plate. We opted for two steakburgers (€18.50 each) with French fries because we don't care much for fish dishes in warm weather, and the menu is very fish-heavy. Let's start with the good stuff: the fries were crispy and not greasy, so they were good. The steakburger, however, needs some work and was disappointing for the price. What was supposed to represent the "beef steaks" had been reduced to a mass through the overuse of a meat steak maker, which could be identified as meat. However, the use of too many spices meant that there was no meat flavor, let alone beef. However, the spices remained on the tongue for hours afterward. The amount of meat was also too small, in my opinion, and it was more reminiscent of a thickly sliced carpaccio than a "beef steak." Therefore, the "steakburger" cannot be recommended in its current form. Conclusion: If you're looking for refreshment and don't have high expectations, this is the place for you.

We used to enjoy the Allendorf restaurant. Since last year, they've only accepted card payments. We won't be doing that anymore. I want to pay how I choose. Furthermore, the service isn't what it used to be, and at these prices, you'd expect more. The food is nothing special. The location is great, but unfortunately, it's nothing more.

A truly great location, and reasonable prices. The wine selection could be a bit larger, and the staff is excellent. Friendly, on the ball, and sales-oriented... I was extremely satisfied with everything.

We always enjoy coming back; it's like a little piece of vacation. Wonderful location right on the Rhine. There's plenty of parking. The staff are all very friendly. Ordering online using a QR code means you get your drinks very quickly. We always got a table, even without a reservation. Payment is cashless, but that's not uncommon these days.

The prices are absolutely underground, if you want to burn your money you are in good hands here 12 euros for a glass of wine

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and its location right on the water – including a boat dock – is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, this made our visit all the more disappointing. The waitress's very first comment was: "Unfortunately, we're out of mint today." This is incomprehensible to me when it comes to a homemade lemonade that's advertised with mint. How can you offer something like that and then not be prepared accordingly? It just seems poorly planned. The rest of the service was also disappointing: unfriendly, stressed, and the guest didn't feel welcome or valued at all. Taking the order took about 20 minutes, and paying took another 20 to 30 minutes. Given the overall rather high prices, this is unacceptable to me. I had heard a lot of good things about the restaurant, but today I was unfortunately disappointed. What a shame – the ambiance could have been much better.

We've been there several times. It's a beach bar like you'd find on the North Sea or Baltic Sea. The food and wine are top-notch. The atmosphere is fantastic... as a northerner, I feel a bit at home. It's a shame that after 9 p.m. they only serve simple finger food.

I went here twice on my trip to the area. It’s ok, a little over priced and food is pretty good, but great location. Staff can be hit or miss as far as service goes.

Yes, we had a delicious meal, but what surprised me most was the open kitchen and the chefs, who worked with a smile and joy in their work. An excellent team and outstanding service, but you have to make a reservation to eat there.

THE location on the Rhine! Upscale but reasonable prices. Excellent food and drinks. Parking is also possible if you have brains (on the other side of the highway and an underpass with a short walk; DO NOT walk across the highway without brains). Highly recommended!

Great location & great offer! Unfortunately, we didn't catch the best day in terms of service – we waited an hour for our food, and the staff's organization was rather chaotic, which was evident in the atmosphere.

A beautiful little place very idyllically situated on the Rhine

A fantastic location with spectacular views of the countryside and the Rhine. We enjoyed the dawning evening with the slightly reddish sky and felt like we were on vacation. The service was friendly, the menu beautifully designed, and the cool branding on the glasses was a great touch. The food, however, was just okay—nothing more, nothing less. What surprised us, however, and sparked many jokes and conversations in the days that followed, were sardines with bread for 12 euros—which turned out to be a can of sardines with three slices of baguette. 😅

As we all know, three things matter when it comes to restaurants: location, location, location. It's a great place to linger. Otherwise, it's extremely expensive, the food is more like a snack bar, and the crowd is a bit posh. Service is extremely friendly and fast...

A very nice ambiance with a view of the Rhine. The service was okay. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that tasty...but we would come again for a drink and to enjoy the beautiful ambiance.

The location is truly fantastic; there's no other comparable restaurant right on the Rhine, stylishly decorated, but the food was disappointing: kibbeling from a frozen bag, the mayo had obviously been sitting in the jar for hours; it had already set on top, the fries were cold, the herring came with cranberries (???), the accompanying potatoes were cold, the salad was dressed with sour sauce, boringly sour, not particularly clever. The service was practically nonexistent. You can order online from your table, but since everyone around us was asking for their orders and going to the counter to pay (because there are service staff, but they can't be persuaded to come to the table), you're really unsure whether the online order will work... We got it at the same time, but some of it was cold. So I can't understand the good reviews for the food. Boring lounge music, too loud (if the music were better, then it could be a bit louder...)

In good weather you should definitely reserve. After 45 minutes we didn't feel like it and left. The service has improved compared to last year. Thanks to the possibility to place an order online, it is definitely faster than before. The food is okay but quite expensive. Important here is only possible card payment, cash is not accepted. The location is a dream. You sit right on the water, when holiday feeling comes up.

Beautifully situated overlooking the Rhine tributary. There are various seating and dining options (uncovered at the water's edge, benches under umbrellas, lounge areas, or deckchairs on the sand) – as well as beach chairs. The "Kibbelinge with fries" are very good, as is the "Cheesecake in a glass." The option to reserve a table online is also a good option. And if you arrive by car, there are several parking spaces right there.

A great destination right on the Rhine with a beach bar feel, good food (especially fish dishes), and house wine. The playground is ideal for families. Great views, but service can be slow at times and prices are rather high. Only card payments are accepted. Advance reservations are recommended.

One of the most beautiful places in the Rheingau! We love it here! Unfortunately, the service ruins much of the great atmosphere... As soon as it's busy, the service staff are unfortunately completely overwhelmed and unfriendly.

Cash isn't accepted. You have to pay by card. That's very annoying. The location on the Rhine and the ambiance are very nice. My apricot cheesecake was mediocre. The cake was too hard/dense and there was very little fruit in it. Even though the background music was quiet, the annoying bass constantly blared from the speakers. Boom, boom, boom.

I was at Allendorf recently and bought three bottles of red wine called "Illusion." What can I say, it was incredibly delicious! The taste was truly something special. The service was also excellent; I received very friendly and competent advice. I would especially like to thank the lady there; she was super warm and helpful. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend it! 🍷

The ambiance is very nice. Unfortunately, the tuna was completely overcooked. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Unfortunately, we also noticed some inconsistencies in the service.

My recommendation for a beach club in the central Rhine Valley. Wine directly from the winery. The food is upscale. Reservations are recommended.
