Every time I visit, I feel 30, or maybe even 40 years (?) younger. THE kebab stalwart in the Main-Tauber district. Still the same quality and great taste as decades ago. No frills like other kebabs with half a vegetable garden on top that just chill the meat, but the original – just meat, onions, and tomatoes. Sauce is available upon request, and cheese and garlic are available for a small surcharge. Dürüm and shepherd's salad are also very tasty, and the kebab plate is quite a large portion. If you don't like the slightly dated interior, you can sit outside or order takeout. I always enjoy the food there, which is why the guys usually see me several times a month 😀

The service was great; he brought me the kebab. There was too little meat and the kebab was a bit small, but 5 euros is a really good price. The kebab was good, 6 out of 10, quite okay.

In a small German town, we discovered a truly delicious kebab. The people were very nice, always smiling and patient, even though we didn't speak German. They made an effort to understand us and make us feel comfortable. The food was fresh, tasty, and plentiful, with fair prices. A very pleasant experience that made us feel welcome and eager to return.

The interior looks a bit dated and is a bit off-putting at first. The staff is very friendly, and my kebab was delicious, with a pleasantly spicy flavor and very crispy bread (the crispiest I've ever had in a kebab!). The price of €5 per kebab (regular size) is extremely reasonable by today's standards. I'll definitely be back!

Ali Baba has been around in TBB for a long time and is highly praised by many, but the shop has now become a place of horror, the meat is undercooked, the bread is only half baked and you could top 5 kebabs with the onions. The taste of the kebab is also very bad and there is always gristle in the meat. SHAME!!!

Eighteen young people were allowed to enjoy a brutal evening meal. The indoor sauna is preheated. The vintage decor is smash. Best service, the 0.5 bomb arrived quickly and ice cold. If you can't tolerate spicy, this is the wrong place and there is more onion than at Vrane. The last time I had so much kowwelich was at my initiation. Gladly again.

I haven't eaten a durum like this in a long time!!! So bad!!! It is heated in the oven and the meat is not cooked through, I could hardly get it down or not at all. It's cheap but I'd rather pay €7 or €8. I would like to give 0 stars but that's not possible, unfortunately not. Please don't get anything there, I beg of you!!! Horror!!!!

Simple but very tasty. Döner plate would be served with warm bread 🔝. It looks small but there is a lot of meat on it and it tastes very good too 👍. Afterwards I was really full.

The first kebab shop in Tauberbischofsheim has been around for over 30 years and still has the same friendly owner. The food is great and not fancy. Tip: Doner kebab plate with garlic. Lots of meat, lots of garlic in the form of sauce and also cloves.

This is what a kebab should look like. Don't stretch half the kebab with unnecessary coleslaw. Meat onions tomato and spicy. Plus unique and crispy bread that I've never seen in any other kebab shop. And all for 5 euros. Top. Yes, of course there are nicer shops, but if the kebab tastes good, I like the traditional, rustic style in the shop.

Ambiente hat mich nicht interessiert, fakt ist das der döner original ist und frisch nach original türkischen Rezept wie vor 40 Jahren in Deutschland zubereitet ist. Jedes biss ein Genuss, etwas zu wenig drin aber bei 5 Euro braucht man nicht jammern. Immer wieder gerne. werde mein döner immer bei denen sympathischen und freundlichen Betreiber kaufen. Was ist wichtiger Luxus Ambiente und der döner schmeckt nach nix oder kein Ambiente aber dafür der döner schmeckt nach döner ? Kann nur weiter empfehlen mit vollem 5 Sternen auf Qualität und Geschmack.

Ab und zu mal, ist in Ordnung! Ich habe einen kleinen Döner Teller bestellt, war eine riesige Portion mit viel frischen Salaten u. Zwiebeln. Knoblauchsauce unbeding mitbestellen da es sonst zu trocken ist. Sauberkeit könnte besser sein (z.B.Tischdecken, WC).

Ambiente sehr rustikal, aber ich mag das. Richtig freundliche Inhaber. Der "ganze" Döner mit Knoblauch und Käse ist eine Hausnummer! Sehr lecker, scharf und danach war ich echt sowas von satt. Für 12,-€ absolut in Ordnung. Wenig Schnick-Schnack, dafür lecker! Einzig das Brot war recht kross, was der ein oder andere vllt weniger mag. Wenn ich wieder in der Nähe sein sollte, jederzeit wieder!

Döner schmeckt noch wie zu Schulzeiten, vom Essen her sehr zu empfehlen!! 😉

Dieser Döner ist einfach anders und ich komme jederzeit gerne.

Hat mir damals vor 12 Jahren in der Mittagspause immer gut gemundet. Der anschließende flotte Otto half mir dann anschließend sich im Unterricht aufrecht zu entschuldigen. Das wars mir immer Wert.

Der Döner hat seit Jahrzehnten die gleiche Qualität und Geschmack und wird immer noch wie vor 30 Jahren zubereitet. Man weiss jedes Mal was man bekommt, dass muss man erst mal hinbekommen. Ambiente und Hygiene im 80er Jahre Stil mag zuerst abschrecken. Aber mitunter deshalb und auch wegen dem besonderen Geschmack des Döners ist Ali Baba Kult in der Umgebung. Eine Renovierung oder Veränderung der Zubereitung wäre eine Schande für den Laden ;). Döner immer noch 5 Euro, aber dafür etwas kleiner wie bei andren Buden. Für grossen Hunger den Ganzen nehmen.

Dieser Laden ist nicht umsonst der älteste Döner Laden in Tauberbischofsheim, und das sagt schon alles aus mehr braucht man nicht zu erwähnen aber den Dönerteller topt kein anderer Laden und der Dürüm ist immer so perfekt gerollt das man diesen am liebsten in ein Museum tun würde😂 kein Döner Laden kann einen Dürüm so perfekt rollen wie der Ali Baba!
