What's great is that there are ample parking spaces available. The outdoor area appears well-maintained and clean, and is wheelchair accessible. The self-service counter is perfectly acceptable, although it's a bit short at times. I didn't order any cake, but I opted for an egg roll (€3.40) + a Mett roll (€3.20) and a crema coffee (€3.20). The staff was friendly. The restrooms were clean at that time (11 a.m.). We wouldn't come back for breakfast.

Unfortunately, the Café Alexianer lunch was a disappointment for me. If you don't have the financial means to spend on meat, it's better to cook fresh and simple dishes instead of serving undercooked or overcooked side dishes. The quality seems lacking in love and poorly thought out. Added to that is the demeanor that comes across as more arrogant than hospitable. An honest, freshly prepared dish would be worth significantly more here than a half-baked attempt at something special.

A great place with very friendly, attentive staff and delicious homemade cakes and tarts, as well as good coffee. My favorites are the sheet cakes, such as chocolate pumpkin or butter crumble with gooseberries. In the mornings, you can enjoy the sunshine on the terrace. Great value for money, the dog bowl is always filled with fresh water, and they provide sustainable Recup cups—it couldn't be better!

Definitely worth a visit. Besides coffee and cake, they also offer great plants for your balcony and garden, as well as wonderful herbs.

The waiter, who wears glasses, is unfriendly. Instead of working, he openly gossips about the guests. Out of place in this otherwise good café.

I was there for the first time since the renovation and I'm very disappointed! The café used to be in an old greenhouse and had a beautiful, bright, and very special atmosphere, whatever the season. Now: dark, sterile rooms that feel like a cafeteria in a retirement home. The terrace is quite nice, and the cakes are still delicious.

Delicious cake. I find the atmosphere inside too sterile and austere. It also gets quite loud when several groups are there.

The inclusive restaurant/café is well-appointed. It's self-service, the cakes are excellent, and the sandwiches are fresh and well-filled. We simply have to go there whenever we buy flowers from the Alexianer Monastery Gardens. They're excellent, by the way! The selection and quality are outstanding! The price is right, too.

We often go to Alexianer to buy things for the garden. Now we were in the monastery cafe for the first time. We enjoyed it and the service was very nice. We will definitely take a “break” there more often. There is also a toilet in the café. The number of toilets used to be significantly higher. There was a real toilet facility in a building outside. Unfortunately now there are only a few left in the field of seeds and equipment.

This café is attached to the monastery gardening center. Self-service and clearing like in a canteen, but both the cake and the coffee (cappuccino) tasted very good. Gladly again.

It's a shame, unfortunately we were disappointed. Modern canteen charm is ok. The staff is nice and friendly. But giving back change should be part of basic education, even in times of electronic pay. I had filter coffee with a mozzarella and tomato baguette. Sorry, failed all the way. The coffee had probably been kept warm for hours and tasted as if there was still some detergent in the cup. The baguette was topped with mozzarella and tomatoes, which inherently have little flavor. But, there was no salt, pepper, basil or anything like that present. Every motorway rest stop has this better. Note to vegetarians... cheese rolls are not offered. Vegans have fundamentally lost here. So, one star because the area has a signposted exit and the staff most likely can't do anything about it.

I used to work there myself, in IT, and often went for coffee there. Everyone I send there is super excited 😁. I think it's really nice to interact with each other, it was a great experience for me 👍🌞. Thank you to the Alexian service companies for having something like this. It is a café that is connected to the Alexianer KH. Many people may not know this, but this is a psychiatric hospital. However, most of the patients are housed in residential groups and work in various workplaces on the premises. People with mild psychological problems also work in cafés. Disturbance. But that doesn't detract from the whole thing. The café has an outdoor area with a view of the internal monastery gardening and beautiful flowers and arrangements. It is very pleasant to sit outside in summer. Due to its popularity, it can sometimes be quite busy, especially on Sundays...The service is customer-friendly, perhaps a little slower than elsewhere. This is at the discretion of the guests. With all the beautiful things, why did I only give it 4*? Because the prices are pretty... steep. You don't have to expect that, for example, a coffee will be cheaper here than in other cafés. On the contrary. On the other hand, the peace and quiet and the friendly service make up for it. You have to have been there yourself, it's hard to describe it - at least that's how I feel. Have fun. Oh, the term monastery café goes back to the fact that in earlier times the KH was actually called a “lunatic asylum” (as was so often the case back then, in a monastery), which was run by monks. The last monks were still resident there until the early 2000s, some of whom were still actively working, but not in the nursing sector. I hope I haven't made any errors in the content here. The new café can be accessed from both the street and the garden center. From the modern terrace you can look into the nursery and admire the diversity while enjoying.

I've been to the monastery cafe several times, the cake is delicious, the service is very friendly and you can sit there comfortably. Since it is a new building ... in an area with many people who rely on walking aids, wheelchairs, walkers, etc. ... why was this not sufficiently taken into account? This group of people is not able to access the café through the entrance with 2 glass doors. You have to rely on help to keep the doors open. Was the automatic door opener forgotten?? Really a shame...

I received a cake as a gift for completing my training. The cake was not only very tasty, but also scored points with its appearance (fondant in the style of my training)! A big thank you to the entire team!

We went to the monastery café for the first time today because we wanted to have breakfast there. We had previously called there to ask if there was breakfast. We were disappointed when we were told in a rather unfriendly manner that there would be no breakfast, just sandwiches and cakes. When we protested that we had made special inquiries beforehand, we were told that there were simply no more rolls. It's a shame, it was only 10:20 a.m. But it can happen, but the harsh manner of the gentleman being served was very strange!! Unfortunately, this detracted from what was actually a nice monastery experience right from the start. The cake was delicious and because of the nice weather we were able to sit outside. The nursery has a great selection of plants and the prices are OK too!

Unfortunately I have to say that I am very disappointed with the ambience after the renovation!! Before it was cozy and had atmosphere. It could have been made into a gem with more space. The furniture and furnishings are sterile and resemble a factory canteen. Above all, you could do a lot more with the monastery plants inside and out. The quality of the cakes is not creative for today, e.g. Frankfurter Kranz. I think the sour cream cake is delicious, every time I ask for it it's sold out, and when I leave I see that there has been a restock. I also think the prices are excessive. I also wonder whether psychiatric patients have not been taken into account anymore, given the sterile setting and the prices. M Pe

The Alexianer Klostercafé has undergone an impressive improvement recently. The atmosphere and service level have been noticeably improved, and the commitment of the entire team is truly commendable. You can tell that the employees put a lot of effort and passion into their work. The quality of the food and drinks has noticeably increased and the variety on offer is remarkable. I am particularly impressed by the attention given to the guest. The staff is always friendly, attentive and responds individually to the needs of the guests. The cleanliness and organization in the cafe are impeccable, making the overall experience very pleasant. All in all, I can say that the Alexianer Klostercafé is definitely worth a visit. The positive development in all areas makes it a place where you like to stay and feel in good hands.

I was there today for the first time in a long time and was pleasantly surprised. The daily menus have really improved over the last few months. The selection of cakes was huge. The food was super tasty, I can really recommend the cabbage roll. The service was very good. Very friendly, I felt very comfortable and am very satisfied! I'd love to come back.

Leckeres Essen, guter Service und tolle Atmosphäre und super nette Leute vor Ort.😊😊 Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen dort hinzugehen.😊😊😊 Deswegen 5 Sterne von mir.

Das Klostercafé bietet e i n e n täglichen Mittagstisch. Eine Art Hausmannskost, die nicht überzeugt. Lediglich die geniale Josie-Limonade hat die volle Punktzahl verdient.
