Went to Alex for the first time today, it's pretty full and loud. A waitress didn't notice us, my husband had a single beer in two hours 😔, actually the customer is king, but the young lady wasn't interested in us. There's nothing to complain about the food...

We had a buffet on January 1st, 2025. The waitress with long hair and a pigtail was super nice, very, very friendly. Loves her work! Another waitress with very short blonde hair wasn't as friendly, it's a shame.

Unfortunately, the visit to Alex was quite disappointing. The service was quite inattentive and slow. My main course “salmon and spinach lasagna” was a bad joke. Taste OK. The crowd, on the other hand, was seriously disappointing. That was at most a side dish portion of a children's plate. The price-performance ratio was therefore in the lowest subclass. It should also be mentioned that 2 out of 8 dishes ordered were delivered incorrectly. It will probably be the case that I will walk past the shop in the future and wonder why so many people are sitting there.

Excellent service It's always a pleasure to be here. I've been here several times for breakfast or brunch on Sundays Lunch here for lunch. Everyone was always totally satisfied. The food is very good 👍 The service was very friendly and accommodating.

We were there for lunch. Unfortunately I didn't like the salad with schnitzel at all and the soup was also very salty. It's a shame that no vegetarian alternatives are offered at lunchtime. The service wasn't particularly friendly. I won't come here again

Unfortunately it is incredibly loud in the restaurant. A cultivated conversation at the table of 6 is not possible.

We were there with a group of 6 girls and were unfortunately very disappointed. The food took a very long time...when it finally came everything was ice cold and one meal was completely forgotten. The service was nice and tried hard. We were offered a coffee to compensate, but by then we all had our jackets on and were on our way. That was a shame because it was supposed to be a special evening for us.

I thought, cool, you can have a starter with the main course, but unfortunately it didn't come. For the main course I canceled the starter, and here was my first frustration. Full of anticipation, I thought to myself, come and enjoy your schnitzel with fries. Unfortunately, that was again wrong, as the fries were crispy but cold. Well, so it was a short visit with no follow-up orders as we left straight after eating. Sorry, but I know it differently in Alex, no matter where I was.

I can't rate the food badly. Was a very short visit today. After we had to take someone from the family to the emergency room today, we wanted to get something to eat quickly. In our excitement we didn't see the reserved sign on the table. After the very unfriendly comment from the waitress, we sincerely apologized. But the service remained unfriendly. Thanks for nothing.

We come to the breakfast buffet every now and then. Today we were there for lunch and later for coffee and cake. Champion schnitzel with fries and apple pie with coffee. It was very tasty and we were thrilled. The staff is very friendly. As always, the 130 km journey was worth it.

I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. It's bad enough that the waiters ignore you and keep you waiting for at least 15 minutes. They prefer to stand behind the drinks counter and talk. The fried vegetables were swimming in pure oil and even though I mentioned this, nothing was done with them. We won't be coming back.

Prices for the food are already at steakhouse level. Way too expensive. Staff is untrained and far too slow.

I went to Alex with my girlfriend for the breakfast buffet. The food and drinks were very tasty. Unfortunately, my girlfriend can't tolerate orange juice and asked for an alternative to the small orange juice that is served for breakfast. Unfortunately, that was a nil report. The employee didn't want to give out apple juice, water or tap water. None of this would be possible. Maybe you should rethink your service concept. At least tap water is very possible.

You can't close the door! Dirty, loud, lack of service and rude - food was served on a clearly moldy board and not one of the three employees approached took care of the matter. No apology, no accommodation and, as a thank you, insulting words were shouted after me by an employee. At least the beer was cold.

Very rich breakfast buffet (yes, it is actually spelled that way). There's everything you need for breakfast. Scrambled eggs, fried eggs, meatballs, sausages, bacon, fried potatoes 😋😁 But there is also something for those who prefer it sweet or not so savory with fruit, muesli, quark, etc.

Went to Alex for brunch on Sunday, it was very nice. Food was tasty, atmosphere good. Sylvia served us the whole time and made sure we didn't miss anything. It was like a little break for us. Many thanks to Sylvia and the team, we will definitely come back soon.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide the information required here. I wanted to have breakfast with my girlfriend on Monday morning. Because of the nice weather and because it was already full inside, we sat outside from 10 a.m. No trace of the operation. At 10:10 a.m. the connecting door to the outside seating was permanently opened, still no service. At 10.20am decided to change location and enjoyed breakfast a few meters away. Thank you for nothing.

right in the center is this restaurant. They serve everything from cakes to hot dishes. The food is perfectly ok but the service is incredibly slow. you have to wait forever to order, When you want to pay, the eternal wait continues. Seems like the wait staff is just running around, inexperienced staff it seems They get 3 stars based on the food, not the service

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet there. The food itself is okay, but I would like at least one hot drink included for the price!

Short addendum: I received a message that I actually overpaid almost €20 because the employee entered the wrong table. I should receive a credit in the mail in the next few days. What I got: A letter with 2 vouchers for a small hot drink. When I asked again when I could expect the €20 to be refunded, I haven't received an answer for almost 4 weeks. Good to know that the headquarters is just as disorganized as this restaurant. Original: We went there for brunch for my mother's birthday. The food was ok, the rest was rather difficult. I wanted to make a reservation by phone a week in advance. The employee on the phone didn't seem to be experienced and asked a colleague in the background if there was anything available for 7 people for the first Libori Sunday. Answer “Well, everything is fully booked, it’s Libori!” 30 minutes later my wife was able to book a table online without any problem. Confirmed again by phone 2 days later, no problem... When we got there it wasn't particularly busy, most of the guests were sitting outside, but inside it was quiet. Our service was really nice, the order was taken, the drinks arrived quickly, great! Came around more often, cleared the plates, took good care of us. But then she seemed to be going on break and then left and sat at a table in civilian clothes - no problem, everyone deserves a break - Unfortunately, we were only visited rudimentarily by another employee and at some point we ran out of drinks. Then employee 3 came who wanted to bring us a shandy, but it was ordered from the next table. Happened… My mother paid for the entire table, but we stayed for a while. 3 more sparkling wines were ordered and delivered. Then employee 3 came back and put a tray of beer on the table for us. Our perplexed looks probably cleared her up, whereupon she supplied the next table with beer with the words “I keep mixing up these tables.” When our charming waitress returned from break, I asked her to tell me the remaining amount. €28.90 (or was it €29.90? Unfortunately I didn't get a receipt) I gave her €40, thanked her for HER wonderful service and we left. On the way home the conversation came up about what I had just paid for... and we stumbled upon the fact that apart from the champagne, nothing else had been ordered. And 30 euros for 3 sparkling wines is the most credible on the Reeperbahn. Now I keep thinking that I apparently invited the next table for a round of beer through employee 3. Fantastic. Conclusion: OK for a quick snack, but apparently very disorganized. Something like that shouldn't happen.

In any case, if you want to have breakfast, you should make a reservation here, otherwise you may not get a seat. The buffet leaves nothing to be desired and is also rich. Unfortunately, the service was a bit stressed during our visit, which was of course noticeable. But everyone can have a bad day sometimes, otherwise we were happy so far. Of course, it's much easier to sit inside than outside, as there are more buses outside and delivery vehicles and other cars drive right next to you. So you can sit beautifully in the interior. If you would like to have breakfast, it is definitely worth a visit, as the Libori Gallery also offers parking spaces and you would be able to have breakfast with dry feet even if it was raining. All in all, a great location to have a hearty breakfast.

This Alex Café is well located on the ground floor of the Libori Gallery and has a nice and calm ambience. If you like things more civilized and relaxed, this is the place for you. The offer is good, there is a large selection from the main course to dessert. The drinks are also excellent.

It's been a long time since I've eaten at Alex again. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Despite the many employees, I hardly felt served. No one asked during the meal if everything was OK. Unfortunately, the braised onions were missing from my dish. So for what you get it's too expensive for my taste. Also, the cards were stuck on the table. But the worst thing was that all the guests were on first name terms. That just sounds totally disrespectful! During my visit I also noticed some errors. My drink came twice and the next table had one drink too many. Bad service unfortunately... I don't need this again.

First the drinks were served incorrectly. I immediately noted that I hadn't ordered this drink, and the waitress simply walked away ignorantly. I ordered the Caesar wrap, which was also really tasty at other Alex restaurants. But this time there was cheese in it (although there was never cheese in there, and it's not even mentioned in the description). Since you are allergic to it, it was very inedible and the fries were extremely salty.

The only thing that's really good is the service. The steaks were all well done instead of medium rare. Out of respect for the animal, which died again in the pan, we ate it anyway. Ambience has a kind of waiting room feel

We spontaneously decided to have breakfast at Alex this morning. I won't make this mistake again, the reception of the guests was totally disorganized, unfriendly and you felt unwelcome. If you were able to get something from the warm buffet (usually it was out of stock or cold) I thought that the ready-made meatballs from discounters like Aldi or Lidl would probably taste a lot better warm. There were usually still two slices of cold meat in the cold buffet, but you lost your appetite when you saw carelessly draped slices of cold meat. There is a glass of orange juice at the buffet, hot drinks are not included, my wife asked if she could get maple syrup with the pancakes, the bottle was replaced, after she asked herself why nothing came out, we got it ourselves, “Freshness seal” removed to access the liquid, (There was a nice waitress, a young woman? A young man? You can't be so sure today, but in any case it saved the morning a bit) I would generally recommend eating here with hated relatives, Maybe you can get rid of the baggage after this impossible breakfast. A real shame!!!!

Essen war eine Offenbarung. TK Schnitzel und der Salat ließ vertrocknet die Ohren hängen und fast kein Dressing. Das hatte mit kochen sehr wenig zu tun. Wir werden es uns nicht nochmal antun. Selbst nach der offenen Kritik hat man noch nicht mal einen Espresso als Entschuldigung angeboten. Der Bedienung war die offene Kritik egal, da sie es ja nicht gekocht habe. Was will man machen außer nicht weiterempfehlen.

This is a BIG Chinese restaurant. Food everything you can think of. Meat, fish and a great dessert. And not expensive. You should definitely visit.

The Alex in Paderborn is a good restaurant. The employees are friendly and helpful. It's definitely a little louder when you're sitting inside. It is a good place to go if you want to have breakfast or meet up with several people for food or drinks.

The food and the ambience can't be judged either. But reserving a table is a challenge for those who called 2 times and no table was reserved. Because the line wasn't there and you can't make a reservation without the line. Now I can also judge the food. Ich war schon öfters im ALEX auf ein Bier, soweit so gut. Das Ambiente ist nett. Was mich heute zu dieser schlechten Bewertung führt, ist das Frühstücksbüffet. Das hat mich echt enttäuscht. Der Obstsalat grauenhaft, frisches Obst Fehlanzeige und die Brötchenauswahl (?) bescheiden. Das sind objektive Tatsachen, die für mich stimmen müssen und Basics sind. Mir schien das Buffet sehr lunch-lastig zu sein. Dann darf ich es aber nicht als Frühstück zu diesem Preis anbieten. Mein Tipp an die Chefs: geht mal 100m weiter zum Wettbewerber, der setzt den Massstab. Für mich heisst das: nächstes Mal wieder dort (100m weiter) Den zweiten Stern gibts, weil die Bedienung ok war. Geht besser.

Went to Alex yesterday afternoon for a little birthday drink. I went to our reserved table. There were crumbs on the table, impressions on the edges of the glass, crumbs on the chairs too. I asked a waitress to please wipe the table because everything was still stuck. The waitress came, wiped the table, but said that the tables here always stick...mhm... Afterwards I wanted to sit down and saw downstairs at our table that everything was very dirty and full of crumbs. The glasses still had water stains. Well, many guests don't seem to mind the ambience or the cleanliness. I won't go to this place again!

Ambience and service, absolutely top, the waitresses are very friendly, but one thing is the highlight, and that is a simple Cola Zero - 0.5l costs 6 euros. Here we can only speak of fantasy prices!!! No, absolutely NOTHING justifies this price. Something like that should absolutely be boycotted, not just in Alex, but in general.
