Everything was ok... fast service and friendly service

Breakfast at Alex is quite good. Location is quite nice. Price without coffee quite okay. In return there are scrambled eggs, Nuremberg cheese, mini meatballs, sausage, cheese etc. The standard range. Selection good. Quality good. Service good. Overall: good. Come back again 😊 January 3, 2017 Here again. Still very satisfied.

We were there for breakfast, really. The breakfast buffet took a long time to refill and the drinks were only brought after 30 minutes. It was a Saturday so it was pretty full, so it might take longer.

The reason for the rating is that we got up again today after 15 minutes... there was simply no staff on site who felt responsible for us.

Went to Alex for brunch last Sunday and were ultimately disappointed. There were no warm dishes (apart from fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausages and pancakes). When we asked, we were told that it was warm outside and therefore the cook didn't prepare any warm food. Instead there would be cold roast slices (cold cuts) without any other side dishes. There is nothing for vegetarians today. The brunch price was still charged and not the normal breakfast price. Up to now we have always eaten here at ALEX once a year on a city trip, but in our opinion Osnabrück is no longer an option after this experience at the latest. We have always had good experiences with other ALEX locations (Magdeburg, Hildesheim, Göttingen).

We sat outside very nicely in the sunny weather. Service is very nice and helpful. Cold drinks were good, the white wine was very good. Coffee was hot and also very aromatic. In my opinion, the waffles are unbeatable, really great, highly recommended! Unfortunately there is a bit of a limited selection of schnapps.

A burger for me and chicken nuggets for my 5 year old son. Everything very convenient. Attentive but inattentive staff. The table was sticky and was only wiped down with an old cloth when asked and it was still sticky afterwards. More of a train station than a restaurant.

In my opinion, Alex has become very different and has changed negatively. I've been eating at Alex again for two years and was shocked at the new prices. In my opinion, Alex is more of a high-quality restaurant than a place where you can have a relaxed meal or a drink together. So the image has also changed for me. Two years ago a burger with fries cost around €12, but now cheap burgers with fries only cost €18. I find it very unfortunate. The price of the cocktails has also increased significantly, so I'd rather go somewhere else. It's a shame Alex, I used to like you very much

I like the place, very cozy and relaxing with good choices of music. The food was good. I enjoyed it not the common curry flavor. It has a unique taste. I like it. The service is okay, we were waiting outside for 10 mins for someone to take our order, but no one came to take our order so we went inside and in 3 mins we have someone.

We went out to eat on Friday and our steak was too well done, even though we ordered it medium rare. When we told the waitress when we were paying, she laughed and said OK, cleared away the food and then walked away. No sorry, nothing. It was also expensive.

The tarte flambée wasn't quite cooked through, even though we had waited 45 minutes for it, and the sauce for the wrap was not tasty. The schnitzel was good, but the fries tasted like they came from the freezer in the supermarket. The service took a long time, 30 minutes, before we could order and the first waiter we had was also a bit rude and blamed the 35 minute wait for 3 drinks on the fact that it was a Saturday evening. Normally we would understand, but the restaurant was rather poorly attended... But the waiter afterwards was very nice and noticed that the mood had already changed a bit, but lightened it up with a few jokes. The toilets were pretty dirty, dirtier than Saturday evenings in clubs like Alando. Maybe that should be improved, because you lose your appetite and the place makes less sales...

We sat outside and were able to enjoy the May week there. There is delicious Altbier! 🥃 The food is simply great and tastes very tasty 😋 with a good price-performance ratio. Unfortunately you had to worry about getting the attention of the waiters outside...

The worst experience we had was with the waiter named Fatih. Very disrespectful and rude behavior. We talked to him about a dish that cost 20 euros and was missing ingredients that weren't on the menu. When we politely asked him about it, he came to our table, apologized that we didn't have the ingredients in our kitchen and simply left our table. I told him that we are regular customers of this restaurant and understand if one or two things are missing from our dish, and before I could finish the sentence he said, "I don't care if you're a regular or if you're 1." or came here 10 times. Dear restaurant owner, if you want your restaurant to have a good reputation, you need to hire good staff and employees for your restaurant, that is the key role besides food. Very, very bad approach from waiter Fatih

At Alex there is a good selection of delicious food and drinks. The employees are very nice, attentive and helpful. Guests with problems with food/food intolerances are given good and attentive help wherever possible. No matter how much understanding and help we get from employees, the ultimate responsibility lies with us, the customers. But the few customers with a high risk of a (violent) anaphylactic reaction also know this and behave accordingly. Overall, good service and a place where I also feel valued and comfortable. Unfortunately a positive exception in the local gastronomy. Many other restaurants in this city could learn a lot from Alex in all areas... I only have one request here at Alex: the selection of cakes, tarts and ice cream is great. But for diabetics, even with smaller portions, the result is high to very high blood sugar levels. There would be the possibility of a corresponding second offer in which sweeteners that are “unfriendly” to blood sugar would either be completely omitted or substitutes that are “friendly” to blood sugar would be used. This would not only be a longed-for expansion of the range for diabetics. Other customers who would like to reduce their sugar consumption and still treat themselves to something tasty for the eyes and palate in moderation would certainly be very happy about it. These additional meal options would have nothing to do with those “infamous” “diabetic meals” from before. This expansion of the “now time” offer would be about a reasonable and genuine offer. We went for a coffee while breakfast was still being set up. 2 adults + 2 children. We asked if we could 'buy' a roll from the buffet for the children. The answer was no and there was no way to cash in. No alternative offer. Only that we could have the buffet for just under €16... It was the first restaurant that was so child-unfriendly! I've never experienced anything like this before.

The ALEX in Osnabrück has an excellent location. It is located directly at Nikolaiort in the center of the pedestrian zone. Many outside tables are available. The ambience inside is appealing. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. You constantly had to draw your own attention to the operation. It took more than 20 minutes from ordering to delivery of the drinks, and not all the seats were occupied. Even the payment didn't go smoothly. Nobody responded to my wave. So I got up and paid at the entrance. Of course there was no tip left.

The waiters work very slowly and the menu is very small. The prices don't match the taste. The Bueno Nuss iced coffee does not correspond to the content on the menu. I don't recommend anyone to enter this cafe and order anything.

The service yesterday left something to be desired. Although it was very empty inside, you weren't even asked if everything was okay or if you wanted something to drink.

I've always enjoyed being a guest, but today was the last time I was here. The store wasn't full, but we still weren't served. However, everyone who arrived after us was served. The waiter saw us and walked past us several times, but he didn't pay us any attention. Maybe he was too busy keeping his nose up. A service like that (if you can call it that) is simply not possible. After what felt like an eternity we finally got up and left. That's how you lose guests, top.👍🏻

The reservation went well online. The service was quick. The cocktails are just average. You can't have a raspberry mojito without lime! I find prices a little high. The toilets were not clean and damaged the overall impression.

So the service was very friendly... crowded, loud atmosphere... but cozy... drinks prices are also very steep, we paid a whopping €20 for 1.0.3 cocktail, 1 beer and 1 glass of wine... can Maybe not everyone can afford it...but the prices in the catering industry have risen noticeably!!

Unfortunately this time it wasn't so good in Alex. The coffee was too strong for us and not hot. Just like the other coffee specialties. The buffet somehow always looked looted, the scrambled eggs - if there were any - had burnt spots. There was almost no way to get to the bacon. Overall, in our opinion, Alex has deteriorated significantly. A pity!

Tried breakfast buffet on Sunday. Unfortunately, the containers were often empty and the kitchen couldn't seem to keep up with refills. Price is quite high, for two people with a coffee drink each over 50 euros is not a bargain for the food on offer.

Were there for Sunday breakfast. Got a table without a reservation, even if it was right at the door. Food was mediocre, eggs cold, bacon too limp. Standard cold cuts. Toilet hygiene needs improvement. Service was super nice and accommodating.

For 1kg of coffee this results in a quantity of approx. 140 cups. 1 kg of coffee costs €20-30 For 1 espresso you want 3.30€????????? From one kilo of coffee you have 10,000% profit The prices are not correct at all!!!!!! Everything is just too expensive

This was our second time with Alex. The bruschetta tasted delicious, as did the red Thai curry and the rump steak. The drinks were ok too. Finally, the Kaiserschmarrn - a poem. an all around delicious meal. Very nice service and clean toilets. Price-performance ratio very good. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Been back for the first time after the Corona break... First of all: Super nice staff. Due to the very oppressive temperatures, the managing director immediately provided ventilation. Wide range of food and drinks. The homemade lemonades are very tasty. We also really enjoyed the food. Addendum from 02/13/24 - spontaneous visit without reservation: got a nice table for 5 people, comfortable seating. As usual, very nice staff. Since prices in the catering industry have generally risen, the new menu didn't surprise us. Price-performance but still within reasonable range. Food came very quickly, requests for changes were fulfilled at no extra charge. Nothing wrong with the taste this time either. Unfortunately I have to deduct one from the stars for the ambience - there was toilet paper all over the floor in the toilet cubicles. This doesn't leave a good impression, even though the toilet area itself is clean. Maybe someone should check on things every now and then... All in all, another lovely evening at Alex!!!

Quite a nice buffet, but quite expensive for the selection. You then wait forever for the drinks because there are far too few staff there.

In my opinion, the Alex restaurant is a place where you can have a good chat and eat. Above all, I think the breakfast buffet is very reasonable for the price!

I've only been here once, but I really liked it. Not only the food (I had breakfast) but also the service is very good. If I'm in Osnabrück again, I will definitely come here again. Only, this time I'm going to enjoy Sunday brunch.

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal im Alex. RibEye (angeblich 300g) mit Folienkartoffel. Das war das kleinste 300g Steak das ich in 30 Jahren Steak Genuss bekommen habe. Medium bestellt und tot gegart bekommen. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und hat es sofort neu in Auftrag gegeben. 10 min. später kam dann mein neues RibEye... Wieder sehr klein und durch, aber nicht ganz so schlimm wie beim ersten Mal... da meine Frau mittlerweile mit dem Essen fertig war und es mir peinlich war es ein zweites Mal zu reklamieren habe ich es einfach so gegessen. Wenn man nicht wiegen kann sollte man nicht 300g angeben. Ich habe in 30 Jahren Steak-Liebelei das kleinste und schlechteste RibEye gegessen. Ich hätte mal ne Waage mit nehmen sollen 🤣 Das erste und letzte mal da gewesen Trotzdem lieben Gruß an den Kellner, denn der war das einzige Positive für mich.

Hatte einen Apfelkuchen und ein Latte Macchiato. Beides lecker, wobei ich zum Macchiato sagen muss, war eher lauwarm als heiß. Service war sehr nett. Preise sind voll in Ordnung. Würde definitiv wieder kommen, wenn ich in Osnabrück bin.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel die je met alles wilt helpen. Staan gegarandeerd voor je klaar en er is genoeg plek. Ontbijtbuffet was super! Veel luxe producten, zoals hash browns met zalm, gevulde pannenkoeken met room en jam, slagroomtoetjes, chocolademousse en danish😍 Maar ook de standaard dingen zoals pretzels, croissants, broodjes, kazen, vers fruit, spreads, 3 soorten ei, bacon, aardappels, gebakken groentes, salades, etc. En dat allemaal voor maar 13,80 met een glaasje jus d’orange erbij. Erg genoten!

Nettes Ambiente. Personal nett und freundlich. Meiner Schwester und mir hat es dort gut gefallen.

Es waren ehr Kügelchen. Fühle mich für den Preis regelrecht verarscht. Schade, daß war mal besser. Ich werde nichts mehr essen im Alex.. sehr schlecht geworden.

Herbst/ Winter 2023 „Zuvor immer sehr zufrieden gewesen bis zu diesen einen Abend“! Wir waren mit vier Personen zu Gast. Wir haben mit viel Glück, noch spontan einen Platz ergattern können, sehr überlaufen und voll an diesem Tag. ☺️ Die Servicefee die uns zu Platz brachte, war immer wieder quer durch den Laden am Rennen, sie wirkte überfordert, gestresst und es dauerte ewig bis wir bestellen konnten und einen Platz zugewiesen bekamen. Wir saßen direkt am Eingang, es zog sehr stark. Andere Angestellte verwiesen uns nur: „Ihr Tisch wird von jemand anderem bedient, nachdem man verschiedene Mitarbeiter/-innen angesprochen hat, um unsere bestellen aufzugeben“. Nach 45/50 Minuten kam die gesagte Servicefee und wir konnten Getränke aufgegeben, diese wir ca. 15 Minuten später bekamen. Wir haben das Personal höflich gebeten die Türe zu schließen, was wenig gebracht hat, nachdem dreihundertmal die Türe aufgerissen wurde und es permanent zog (der Vorhang bringt null, wenn dieser immer zur Seite geschoben wird). Auf Nachfrage einen anderen Platz zu bekommen, gab es als Antwort, ihr Tisch ist schon gebucht, das ist nicht mehr Möglich, da wir schon Getränke bestellt haben 😂 Dann erneut 45 Minuten gewartet, um die Bestellung für das Essen aufzugeben. Die Getränke inzwischen dreimal leer. Das Essen & erneut Getränke wurde dann 1:30 Std später unvollständig/ teilweise kalt und ein Menü verkehrt serviert. Das bestellte Schnitzel jetzt eine Pommes Currywurst und einer bekam überhaupt kein Essen, das wurde wohl vergessen. 😅 In der zwischen Zeit als wir auf das richtige und fehlende Essen gewartet haben, wurden wir nicht einmal gefragt ob man erneut etwas bestellen wollen oder die Getränke gebracht. Die Servicefee reagierte nicht einmal, sie nahm uns wohl nicht wahr und die nicht für uns zuständig waren, reagierten ebenfalls nicht 😅 Wir natürlich ungeduldig & leicht verärgert gewesen über das verkehrte & fehlende Essen, dem unvorteilhaften Platz und die mangelnde Bedienung, trotz allem Höflich geblieben aber man merkte unsere Unzufriedenheit an. Die Servicefee wirkte professionell, sehr freundlich und entschuldigte sich mehrmals. Wie gesagt, sie war sehr gestresst. Das fehlende und verkehrte Essen wurde dann 45 Minuten später nachgereicht, nachdem die anderen fertig mit essen waren. Während die letzten beiden Essen wurde unser Geschirr weggeräumt, es wirkte als sollten die zwei schneller essen😩 In dieser Zeit zwei Mal erneut das Personal angesprochen, was wohl zwei Mal zu viel war. Sehr gereizte und prompte Antworten erhalten „Gleich, jemand anderes ist für sie zuständig“. Wir wollten nur erneut Getränke bestellen. 😅 Als wir zahlen wollten, mussten wir erneut ewig warten und die Servicefee die unseren Tisch bediente, konnte/ durfte nicht abrechnen. Letztendlich alle noch durstig, stark genervt von diesem Laden, auf dem Sprung bloß zu gehen. Wir mussten auf eine andere Servicefee warten um zu zahlen, diese aber erst kam, als wir aufgestanden sind und die Servicefee zum dritten Mal aufmerksam machten, wenn wir jetzt nicht zahlen können, das wir gehen werden!Diese wirkte stark gereizt & reagierte eher frech und schickte uns die Mitarbeiterin zum bezahlen. Als wir unser Feedback auf Nachfrage über das Essen und den Besuch Abgaben, hagelte es von ausreden aber ein erneutes Entschuldige kam nicht, eher eine freche Unterhaltung seitens der Mitarbeiterin. Leider kam uns die Mitarbeiterin vom Preis oder einem frei Getränke für die Unannehmlichkeiten nicht entgegen. Ich mein wir saßen bestimmt dreienhalb bis vier Stunden dort und haben verkehrtes, fehlendes & teilweise kaltes Essen erhalten und nur zwei Getränke. Solch einen mangelnde Bedienung noch nicht erlebt. Zukünftig meide ich diesen Laden & kann ihn definitiv nicht mehr weiter empfehlen!

Personal sehr freundlich, mussten aber wirklich lange warten um die Bestellung aufzugeben, auf unsere Getränke und das Essen mussten wir ebenso lange warten . Der Laden war aber nicht sehr voll. Wir hatten 1 Bowl die war super und 1 Rindersteak das war ok die Beilagen leider kalt , dies zu reklamieren war nicht möglich da es nicht so einfach ist eine Servicekraft zu erwischen. Leider war es zwischenzeitlich auch sehr kalt , der Vorhang vor der Tür hat nicht geholfen. Waren schon in anderen Städten im Alex und dort war es um Längen besser .

War gut voll das Restaurant und da hatte der Service schon seine Probleme mit. Essen war generell lecker aber wie sieht das erst aus wenn drinnen und draußen voll ist?

Im ALEX kann man sehr gut Essen gehen oder einen Kaffee trinken. Die Atmosphäre ist schön und das Personal immer freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Einziges Manko: wenn das Lokal voll ist, wird es sehr laut ind man muss sich leider lauter unterhalten, um sein Gegenüber noch zu verstehen.

Samstags dort zum Frühstücksbuffet Auswahl am Buffet: TOP Service:TOP, supernett, schnell Das erste Mal dort, komme nicht aus OS, aber zum Glück wohnt meine Tochter dort so das wir sicher wiederkommen !

Das Frühstück war dieses mal nicht ganz so gut. Vieles hat gefehlt. Außerdem sehr kalt, beim nächsten Mal dicker anziehen.

Bedingungen war nett , freundlich. Mussten lange auf unser Essen warten. Andere Gäste die später kamen , hatten ihr Essen früher.

Als we in Osnabrück zijn, gaan we hier altijd eten of ontbijten. Het is niet heel goedkoop, maar waar is dat nou tegenwoordig nog. Goed eten goed ontbijt buffet.Vriendelijke personeel, die werkelijk hun benen uit hun lijf lopen.

Das Essen war sehr gut, allerdings sind die Hähnchenschnitzel im gegensatz zu den Schweineschnitzeln sehr sehr klein was schade ist da es der selbe Preis ist. Die Cocktails waren sehr gut. Die Championrahmsauce war leider etwas versalzen, aber das ist halb so wild gewesen. Sehr großes Lob an die Kellnerin Emily. Sie strahlt soviel Freude und Liebe aus, war so hilfsbereit und liebevoll.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Bedienung zuvorkommend, dennoch sind die Portionen sehr klein und dafür auch zu teuer...

Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, für jeden etwas dabei. Tendenziell eher Richtung Fleisch/Käse Variationen, für Veganer eher uninteressant. Gut gelaunte Bedienung. Manchmal fehlten die Bezeichnungen und man konnte nur erahnen welches Gericht es war. Der Service hatte genug zu tun, da brauchte man auch nicht fragen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr bemüht alles wieder aufzufüllen, wenn etwas leer war. Zum Ende hin wurde es dann etwas lieblos. Die Preise, wie überall, wurden sehr angezogen.

War am späten Vormittag da. Frühstücksbufett sehr lecker. Bedienung ausgesprochen freundlich.Immer wieder gerne.

Wir waren zu viert zum Abendessen nach 19 Uhr. Auch ohne Reservierung haben wir hier an einem Samstag noch einen Tisch bekommen. Es hat etwas länger als üblich gedauert bis Essen und Getränke serviert worden sind, was jedoch bei der Auslastung verständlich ist. Beim Ambiente gibt es definitiv gemütlichere ALEX Restaurants (bspw. Gütersloh). Das Essen schmeckt gut, ist jedoch nicht überragend. Beim Service hat alles gepasst, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, trotz "vollem Haus". Alles im allem ein schöner Abend.
