Small restaurant with the best vegan Hispanic food I've ever had. Prices are reasonable and people are very nice

Having lived in Southern California for over 30 years, we were looking for authentic, fresh and healthy Mexican food - this is it!!! Even my carnivore son-in-law who is from Mexico, greatly enjoyed it. Sooooooo good! Only wish the elote was served as a corn on the cob, but other than that, amazing, fresh flavor, great tortillas/chips, strong drinks. We will be back!

The food was amazing!! However, the service was a bit confused... at first we were told we had to clear the table at 7 p.m. - but then the food wasn't served until 6:55 p.m. When we wanted to pay, the waitress made several attempts in our direction and ended up having to wait a long time - first for the food, then for the bill. I didn't feel welcome in all the hustle and bustle.

A cute little, authentic, stylish and simply furnished restaurant. The selection of delicious vegan dishes is diverse. The service staff is very nice and answered all of our questions patiently and kindly. However, we would have liked more attention, so we kept checking for drinks etc. I think the prices are very good in relation to what you get for what you get, especially when it comes to food. Like everywhere, drinks are a tad too expensive in my opinion. The food was very tasty and in many of the dishes with “vegan” meat you could hardly tell the difference compared to meat. Everything was very tasty.

It was really a really great culinary experience. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. We tasted several dishes and cocktails/drinks and everything was really good. We were definitely not there for the last time.

Super delicious, nice service and it's great that Mexican food is also completely vegan. You want to try your way through the entire menu. A recommendation is the drink Horchata. Tastes like rice pudding with cinnamon. 🤤

Been there twice. All the dishes somehow tasted the same. Rather sour and vinegary. The prices are also too high for me. Unfortunately it's no longer edible the next day because most of the dishes are deep-fried and therefore taste very dry.

Latin American vegan restaurant with very tasty cuisine. The service is friendly, the restaurant is unfortunately a bit small, very centrally located near the Wiesbaden market square. I would be happy to go there again. There are delicious homemade lemonades.

It's a shame that Wolt doesn't deliver to Hanover. That was a culinary taste explosion and shows how delicious and versatile vegan food can be and that's the only reason I would make a trip to/via Wiesbaden again at any time. Please open a shop in Hanover.

The employees were super nice and the food was really excellent! The ambience itself was great, but there was an event in the passage that was really loud. But Alebrijes can't do anything about that. I will definitely come back!

The vegan food is simply delicious and the dishes are very varied and all super tasty!!! Everything is freshly and lovingly prepared, you don't miss anything in the dishes, so it is highly recommended for non-vegans!!

Incredible store! Everything was fantastically seasoned down to the last bit. I'm pretty annoying when it comes to tacos, but I left the store over the moon, stuffed and slightly tipsy. Always my pleasure

We had a late Saturday night dinner (9pm) after a concert at the Kurhaus. Despite the late hour, our meal was swiftly prepared, piping hot, and delicious. We had the empanadas and the enchiladas. Looking forward to trying additional menu options on our next visit!

Visited this place for the first time. As always with my reviews, I forgot to take pictures. If you're in this area, please try it out. The drinks, customer service, and vegan food is great besides the guacamole. Pros: Mango margaritas- strong, yet subtle just the way I like it. Al pastor tacos- didn't notice the difference from real meat. Tasty and tender Customer Service- Great considering there were only 2 people( waitress & cook) working. Con: Guacamole- It was a creamy compared to the chunky Mexican style Guacamole Small restaurant- As most customers stated. It is a compact restaurant, so make reservations in the winter.

The people were very dear, the service was super top, we loved the food, everything was very, very delicious. It is a very complete vegan option in terms of flavor and offering :) I highly recommend it and I will return when I am around. These sides again.

The best Latin American option I've had in a long time, the tacos al pastor are delicious and so are the sauces. The place is very authentic and cozy. The arepas and empanadas are 100% recommended.

Just great! We were there for the first time today and were thrilled! Ordered and tried a total of 5 dishes. Mexican hot dog was the favorite, everything was delicious! In addition, the price-performance ratio is unbeatable. Will visit Alebrijes again soon.

Very nice service. Unfortunately the food wasn't really good. Some not edible. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that the chef was on vacation and the replacement chef couldn't recreate the dishes well. In any case, unfortunately it didn't convince us at all. The substitute meat seen in the photo of "Bandeja Paisa" was inedible.

War mit meiner Ehefrau zusammen mit den Kids für den Hochzeitstag mal was heimisches Essen. Mexikanisch war es nicht 100%, da wir die echte Küche natürlich kennen. Sie haben sich aif jeden Fall die Mühe gegeben, da es auf jeden Fall lecker war. Das Essen war gut mit Soya gemischt, der Geschmack Top. Etwas teuer, aber für die Mex-Küche ist das Perfekt.

Truly one of my favorite vegan restaurants in Wiesbaden. So far I've really enjoyed everything we've eaten here! The restaurant is rather small, but still very cute and the staff is always nice! It was a pleasure.

Small but nice vegan restaurant for fans of South American cuisine. Finally a really tasty meatless alternative, with proper spices etc! Great! Unfortunately it's pretty small, but of course the store can't do anything about it.

Es wirkt sehr lebhaft und einladend, mit einer farbenfroher Dekoration, die die südamerikanische Kultur widerspiegelte. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Vielfalt der veganen Speisen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

A friend and I visited here on Wednesday evening. The ambience was great! The choice of food was a bit overwhelming for us because everything sounded so delicious, but the employee helped us make a decision in the end. The dish on the blue plate was number 136 and the dish on the black plate was the burrito, I haven't had such an overwhelming taste experience in a long time! A place to be for every vegan and vegetarian!

We traveled further because of the very good reviews. Unfortunately, it was a disaster from the start. We were warmly welcomed, but the table wasn't ready yet, so we had to wait outside (the restaurant is very small). After a quarter of an hour and another group of people got a seat straight away. We asked again for our place. The waitress had forgotten and hadn't even cleared the designated table. When we finally had a place we were able to enjoy our first drinks after another 3/4... unfortunately it continued like that the whole evening... food was okay... but a matter of taste.

As always, the food and drinks are a vegan dream. Ambience exceptional. Table seat height takes some getting used to, even for short people like me, but definitely worth it! Overall, a highly recommended restaurant

Boring and cold food. I couldn't proof any ingredient from the dish's description,like Hibiscus, different mushrooms... It was just a brown salty blob. It reminded me of Mensa food. Another good example that you shouldn't rely on reviews. Maybe the reviews are from the restaurant in Frankfurt or they've changed the chef...Anyhow- we won't go back.

Super tasty, I ordered takeaway, so I can't fully rate the service. I only eat exclusively vegan during Orthodox fasting and I have to say you hardly noticed that everything is vegan. Everything was very tasty, the tacos were my highlight. The plantain as dessert was a bit too much for me with the fruit and the price was too high. But all in all the food was super tasty, I will definitely eat there again! Only negative: - Ordered to-go & no cutlery or serving items included. It would be nice if they offered something, because when asked, they said it wasn't offered...

Alebrijes offers fantastic vegan meals. So much so that it can be quite a long waiting time to get a free table. The online reservation system I tried to use was very unreliable - it seemed one could reserve a table at any time regardless of how full the restaurant was. In any case I totally enjoyed my food. However, I must have been one of the last customers for the night. The staff was exhausted and it showed in their attitude and friendliness- very understandable though knowing how busy the place can be.

The three of us had dinner today. Super nice atmosphere. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. The food was amazing, really very tasty and sophisticatedly prepared. I am a total foodie and only go to select restaurants. This one absolutely met my expectations, we will definitely come back. Thank you!

Unfortunately disappointing. First of all we had to wait a long time for the food. Then it got cold. I had the quesabirria, which tasted old and dry. Since the sprinkled cheese wasn't melted, I'm assuming they didn't even see any heat. And then for €14.90 a really cheeky price. We won't go there again and unfortunately we can't recommend it either.

Best latin food I've ever eaten. Delicious!

First off, I have eaten here before a few times and it was very good. Yesterday we visited for breakfast at 1100, as soon as they opened and were the first in the door. Unfortunately they were running late and the staff trickled in a little late after 1100 when they opened. Not sure if this contributed to my experience of food poisoning but this is the only thing I ate prior to experiencing VERY bad stomach issues. I hope I am mistaken and will give this restaurant another chance since my previous experiences were positive. Just wanted to let you know to double check your food handling and storage since I believe some components of my meal were not freshly prepared that morning due to the time constraints.

The Alebrijes restaurant in Wiesbaden enriches the culinary landscape with a unique vegan concept that focuses on Latin American cuisine. The menu includes familiar classics such as nachos, tacos, enchiladas, a burrito and mole, as well as new discoveries in a vegan version for one or the other, which offers an exciting variety and invites you to explore. The selection of main courses seems very extensive at first glance, but this simply results from the fact that some dishes are offered in different variations (such as the tacos, arepas, enchiladas and hot dogs). These are complemented by a selection of (to us) lesser-known main dishes such as chilaquiles, pozole, bandeja paisa, pabellon criollo, salchipapa... However, the modest selection of starters and desserts could do with some expansion. Despite initial skepticism towards Latin American cuisine, the dishes at Alebrijes were consistently convincing with their successful seasoning and quality. The use of coriander in some dishes, which was too rich for our taste, was easy to correct. The presentation of the food is attractive, pleasing to the eye as well as the palate, without going beyond the traditional Latin American flair, but which corresponds to the ambience of the restaurant and its authentic Latin American charm. The range of drinks delights non-alcoholic guests with a selection of six homemade lemonades, which, in addition to the usual soft drinks, coffee variations, teas and juices, are a refreshing addition and successfully accompany dishes. The price-performance ratio at Alebrijes is in line with the quality and service offered. The interior reflects a lively and colorful ambience that authentically captures the Latin American lifestyle. While the chairs might be found to be a little uncomfortable for long periods of sitting, the padded benches offer a comfortable alternative. The service at Alebrijes stands out for its friendliness and efficiency, with quick delivery of drinks and food. In summary, Alebrijes presents itself as an extremely successful small restaurant that not only scores with its culinary quality, but also with its authentic ambience and courteous service and is therefore an enrichment for Wiesbaden and lovers of vegan Latin American cuisine.

The television program “My Local, Your Local” raised expectations that were clearly not met. The nachos (2 types instead of 3) tasted rather musty, there were few fresh vegetables - a very clear difference in one dish from the TV show. The homemade lemonade is highly recommended. Definitely an enrichment for vegans, there are more options for flexitarians...

We had a very nice evening with very tasty food. It's worth making a reservation as it was always well attended. We deducted one star because, as tall people, we felt a bit out of place at the table in the middle of the room. The tables and some chairs are quite small. We will come back.

The guacamole and salsa lacked flavor and as starter “canned” corn ( ELOTA - Maíz con mayonesa, crema fresca…. ) were unimpressive. A need for better seasoning and fresher ingredients is evident for an enhanced dining experience. In addition, the overwhelmed waiter added to the dining challenges, affecting the overall service quality. Addressing staff capacity could contribute to a more positive customer experience. Given the disappointing restaurant experience, it might be more enjoyable and cost-effective to prepare Mexican food at home.

Essen absolut top und auch mal was Ausgefallenes. Als sehr anstrengend empfand ich jedoch leider die Geräuschkulisse. Durch die recht aufdringliche Hintergrundmusik wurde es in dem kleinen Raum sehr laut, sodass ein Gespräch nur mit Mühe möglich war. Für einen kurzen Besuch okay, für einen ganzen Abend sehr anstrengend

What can I say? The most authentic Latin-Mexican-Colombian food in Wiesbaden perhaps even Mainz also! The flavor is so spot on I will be eating here every week because wow, it’s that good!!! I’m not a Vegan but I can enjoy the flavors of this to no end! Simply delicious! I had the Asada Tacos, my husband the enchilada verde and appetizers. I can’t say enough. Service was super friendly, food didn’t rush out of the kitchen but it wasn’t slow either, it was paced at a rate where we could enjoy our drinks for a moment first.

Tiny restaurant with very nice food and atmosphere. The service was very slow, the staff was pretty unfriendly, and they didn't accept card under 30€. When we were counting our coins to pay, the waiter got very impatient for no good reason. Also, the breakfast menu is served until 13.30, and you can't order from the lunch menu until then. The food was good, but for those reasons I wouldn't come back.

Wir waren hier schon öfters essen und sind immer wieder gerne dort. Das Essen ist Abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker, die Bedienung ist freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Ambiente passt sehr schön zum Konzept und ist sehr sympathisch. Ich kann das Alebrijes sehr empfehlen, explizit auch für alle, die sich nicht ausschließlich vegan oder vegetarisch ernähren.

Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und der gesamte Laden ist sehr authentisch. Das Essen war eine absolute Freude. Wir haben unterschiedliche Gerichte bestellt um so viel wie möglich zu probieren und kein einziges Gericht war schlecht gemacht oder hat in irgendeiner Form enttäuscht. Die Quesabirria war eines der leckersten veganen Gerichte die ich jemals in meinem Leben essen durfte. Ich werde diesem einzigartigen Restaurant jedes mal einen Besuch abstatten sobald ich wieder in Wiesbaden bin. Buen provecho.

The place is cozy and it has really good decorations, it feels like you are in Latin America. The food was awesome, very tasty. We highly recommend to order Elote as appetizer. We congratulate to the excellent cook Rebeca, who gave us really good recommendations and with whom we share a delicious Don julio tequila shot 😊
