Sehr gut gelegenes Stadthotel. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Tolles Speiseangebot. Das Restaurant liegt in einer ruhigen Gasse. Aufgrund der sommerlichen Temperaturen sind wir draußen gesessen, was sehr angenehm war. Guter Service bei vollem "Haus". Preis/Leistung top.

Ich war hier im Rahmen einer kleinen Geburtstagsrunde und bin nicht ganz überzeugt. Das Essen ist Standard, aber nichts besonderes. An echte italienische Küche wie in Italien kommt es meiner Meinung nach nicht ran. Im Innenbereich ist es teilweise echt laut gewesen.

Essen Top, Lage Top, der Service dürfte etwas aufmerksamer sein

Essen war sehr gut, Service war sehr freundlich aber es hat länger gedauert bis wir unser Essen bekommen haben- ansonsten war’s TipTop! Komme gerne wieder!

Ich war vor ein paar Tagen in diesem Restaurant und alles war gut außer eine Kellnerin, die uns sehr kalt behandelt hat und sie war sehr unhöflich zu uns. Deswegen ein großes Minus und ich hoffe, dass in der Zukunft es besser wird.

Absolute 5 Sterne, wir sind per Zufall im AL Teatro gelandet und waren hellauf begeistert. Super nettes Team mit besten Service. Die Speisen waren hervorragend und das alles sehr preiswert. Mein Frau meinte, sie habe noch nie so gute hausgemachte Nudeln und Sahnesoße gegessen. Tip Top, beim nächsten Augsburg-Besuch werden wir sicher wieder kommen. 👍😉

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Die Lage war zwar schön, aber das Essen war sehr fad und geschmacklos. Hinzu kommt, dass mir kurz danach ziemlich übel wurde. Ich kann das Restaurant definitiv nicht empfehlen und werde es in Zukunft meiden.

Wir haben dieses Restaurant sehr geliebt und waren lange Zeit zufriedene Stammgäste. Oft wurden wir von Maximilian bedient – das Essen war immer lecker, die Preise angemessen, und wir kamen sowohl für einen kleinen Imbiss als auch zum Feiern von Geburtstagen gerne hierher. Eines Abends kamen wir wie gewohnt nach der Arbeit, um etwas zu essen. Zwei Bekannte gesellten sich kurz zu uns, um einige Dinge zu besprechen. Da es etwas kühl war, setzten wir uns draußen an einen Tisch, etwas abseits von anderen Gästen. Es waren viele Tische frei, sodass wir niemanden störten. Wir begannen zu bestellen: Mein Mann und ich wie immer Getränke, Essen und Dessert. Einer unserer Bekannten bestellte ein Bier und wollte später noch etwas essen, der andere nur einen Kaffee, da er bald wieder gehen musste. Die Kellnerin – sie war an diesem Abend allein im Service und bediente uns zum ersten Mal – erklärte uns in einem unangemessenen Ton, dass alle etwas zu essen bestellen müssten, da es sich um ein Restaurant und nicht um ein Café handle. Das hat uns sehr irritiert. Wir hatten kurz überlegt zu gehen, entschieden uns aber zu bleiben, da wir hungrig waren. Einer der Bekannten verließ daraufhin das Lokal, der andere bestellte aus Protest nichts zu essen und trank nur sein Bier. Die Situation eskalierte weiter, als die Kellnerin uns vorwarf, wir hätten einen kleineren Tisch nehmen müssen, wenn nur zwei Personen Essen bestellen. Dabei waren von den Außentischen lediglich drei belegt, wir nahmen den vierten ein, und viele weitere Tische blieben aufgrund des kühlen Wetters frei. Zudem handelte es sich nicht um ein Wochenende, sondern um einen ruhigen Abend unter der Woche. Seit diesem Vorfall besuchen wir Ihr Restaurant nicht mehr. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht über dieses Verhalten. Wer gibt einer Servicekraft das Recht, Gäste – insbesondere langjährige Stammkunden – in dieser Weise zu behandeln und zu kritisieren? Waren mit mehreren Personen an einem Wochentag nachmittags im Al Teatro essen. Das Restaurant war bist auf zwei Tische leer. Trotzdem war das Service Personal heillos überfordert. Bestellungen wurden durcheinander gebracht und falsche Gerichte richtig verkauft. Auch auf nachfrage wurden Falsche Gerichte als richtig verteidigt. Al Teatro nie wieder. Ich war bereits zum wiederholten Male bei Al Teatro, und wurde wieder einmal herablassend von der Kellnerin behandelt. Erst wurden wir am Eingang ignoriert, als uns dann doch eine Kellnerin bediente verdrehte sie bei Rückfragen die Augen und war unhöflich. Dies ist nicht das erste Mal. Das Essen ist lecker, die Räumlichkeiten recht überfüllt und laut. Im Schwesterrestaurant Il Porcino habe ich immer gute Erfahrungen gemacht, ins Al Teatro komme ich nicht wieder.

War gestern, am 22.02., mit Freunden im Restaurant. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber der Service ließ zu wünschen übrig. Die Kellnerin hat falsche Getränke gebracht und war ungeduldig bei der Bestellung. Als wir uns unterhielten, ist sie einfach weggegangen, was sehr unhöflich war. Am Ende wurden uns die Getränke doppelt berechnet. Leider war die Kellnerin überhaupt nicht nett. Wir werden dieses Restaurant wegen ihr nicht wieder besuchen.

Wir sind total gerne hier und das Essen ist immer vorzüglich, die Bedienung aufmerksam und das Ambiente sehr angenehm.

Ich habe 20 Euro für Calamari Fritto bezahlt, bei denen nichts von salat stand. Bekommen habe ich dan NUR einen Salat mit ungefähr 5 kleinen stücken Calamari. Nicht akzeptabel, vorallem bei dem Preis

Wir haben bestellt und die falsche Pizza erhalten. Nach mehrmaligen kontaktieren war es dem Restaurant dennoch egal. Mit der Aussage: es ist gerade sehr viel los, sie können der Anfrage nicht nachgehen. Sehr schlechter Service!

Pizza liefern lassen, leider ist die falsche angekommen. Gut, kann passieren. Nachdem aber mehrmals das Restaurant kontaktiert wurde, hieß es irgendwann nur noch: „Geht im Moment nicht, ist zu viel los“. Danach wurde der Anruf ohne Verabschieden beendet. Respektloser Service, auch wenn das Essen gut ist. Schade…

Wir haben abends drei Pizzen und Nudeln bestellt. Leider kam eine falsche Pizza an, die anderen beiden Pizzen und die Nudeln waren geschmacklich gut. Nach dem ersten Anruf wurde behauptet, das Restaurant könne nichts tun, der Lieferant hätte die Pizzen vertauscht. Nach einem zweiten Anruf wurde behauptet, es wäre gerade keine Zeit sich um unser Anliegen zu kümmern, es sei viel los im Restaurant. Danach wurde ohne Verabschiedung aufgelegt. Sehr schade.

Die Pizza war nicht besonderes. Würde ich nicht nochmal bestellen. Sehr nette Bedienung.

Pasta mit Meeresfrüchten war leider eine Enttäuschung: TK-Meeresfrüchte, keine Sauce, nur viel Öl – entsprechend geschmacklos. Auf meine Rückmeldung reagierte der Kellner unfreundlich, zog den Teller weg und klatschte mir die Karte hin. Die danach bestellten Babycalamari vom Grill bestanden aus 5 kleinen Calamari mit verkochtem Gemüse. Am Nebentisch war die Portion deutlich größer. Der Service kam danach nicht mehr zu uns. Was ist das bitte für ein Verhalten? Sehr enttäuschend – wir kommen nicht wieder.

Ausgezeichnete Pizzen zu einem sehr guten Preis. Die gewählten Pizzen waren geschmacklich wunderbar, wenig Rand, knusprig und sehr gut belegt. Mittags war es angenehm ruhig im Restaurant. Der Service war unaufdringlich.

AL Teatro Ristorante ich habe Nudeln mit Sahnesoße gegessen und war geschmacklich sehr zufrieden. Die Soße war schön cremig, gut gewürzt und hat perfekt zu den Nudeln gepasst. Man hat gemerkt, dass das Essen frisch zubereitet wurde. Leider war die Portion etwas zu klein, da es wirklich sehr lecker war und man gerne noch mehr gehabt hätte. Preislich war das Gericht jedoch in Ordnung. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmes Essenserlebnis, das ich gerne weiterempfehle.

A gluten-free option was available; it tasted awful. Like cement. And they charged 50% extra for it. Absolutely unjustified. The same goes for the server. Her behavior was completely unprofessional when we told her about the poor quality of the food. She rolled her eyes and her tone was beyond rude. We can't be held responsible for the lack of communication (we had already informed one of her colleagues) or for food intolerances. Not recommended for people with gluten intolerance!!! We also celebrated a birthday there, which we mentioned several times, both when making the reservation and upon arrival. The table wasn't set with any care, nor were any birthday wishes offered.

This restaurant boasts about its gluten-free pizzas – but not only does it conceal the unbelievable 50% surcharge, it also fails to justify it in any way. Neither the quality nor the effort put into it explains this outrageous price tag. For people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, this isn't a lifestyle choice, but a medical necessity. No one here seems to have grasped that. The service is a complete disaster. Unfriendly, disinterested, and clearly untrained. Hospitality? Non-existent. Instead of understanding or even professionalism, you're made to feel like you're eating gluten-free for fun. Such an ignorant attitude towards genuine dietary restrictions is simply disrespectful. What's particularly galling is that the restaurant presents itself as modern and inclusive, but in practice, it demonstrates the exact opposite. Anyone advertising like this should at least possess a minimum level of sensitivity and knowledge – neither of which was evident here. The "regular" food was okay, but nothing more. Solely because of the abysmal service and attitude towards gluten-free guests, I would give zero stars if that were possible. Therefore, I can only issue a clear warning: Anyone who requires gluten-free food should absolutely avoid this place.

Gluten-free pizza is offered, but it is neither acceptable in terms of taste nor quality. The texture and flavor were disappointing for everyone at the table. The surcharge of around 50% is in no way justified and is neither communicated transparently nor explained by quality. The way our justified criticism was handled was particularly negative. Although a colleague had already been informed, there was a lack of internal communication. The server reacted extremely unprofessionally to our complaint: eye-rolling, an inappropriate tone of voice, and a complete lack of understanding of the situation. Instead of acting in a solution-oriented manner, the server argued and did not take the guest seriously. Gluten intolerance is not a voluntary choice, but a health necessity. This fact was clearly not respected here. Anyone who advertises extensively with gluten-free options should also offer quality, transparency, and sensitive treatment of affected guests. The regular food was average, but the service overall was disappointing. This restaurant is not recommended for people who require gluten-free food.

Its’ interior had been re-modified for a while, a modern promotion. the food stay good quality. We ordered pastes and sauces are delicious.

I had reserved the cellar vault at the Alteatro for my birthday party and had spoken to both the manager and the staff on the phone. Everything had been discussed and confirmed, only the menu remained to be finalized. I had even invited my guests. It was all the more disappointing when I received a call shortly afterward saying that the reservation was not possible after all, apparently because another booking had been overlooked. How something like that could happen, even when several people (including the manager) were involved, is completely beyond me. I find it a real shame, especially because I was looking forward to the celebration there. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Alteatro for its reliability when it comes to reservations – in my case, I certainly couldn't rely on it, and now I have to look for a new location at short notice.

Not bad, but nothing special either. Solid food for a good price.

We were there for lunch with seven people. Pizzas arrived promptly, and special requests were handled perfectly. High praise for that. Table service was friendly and courteous. The place was quite busy, so the noise level was accordingly. But still okay. Everything looks and was very cozy inside. A few things need to be addressed, though, which is a no-go from a customer perspective. The waiters at the bar are arguing among themselves. And they're fierce. At least we noticed it twice. New customers roll their eyes and curse in Italian. I strongly suspect there's a staff shortage here as well. But please sort this out behind closed doors. Regarding the pizzas themselves: they tasted okay, but incredibly thin. Of course, they got cold very quickly. Unfortunately, the cheese is instant. The salad was super fresh, but the lettuce leaves were oversized. Please downsize them. Conclusion: A nice lunch with some serious drawbacks. Still, 4 stars. There's more than enough potential! Your table service was amazing.

Last-minute reservation for a birthday dinner. Despite the busy schedule, the service was super friendly and prompt. The quality of the food was truly excellent (one salmon, one saltimboca). We will definitely be back.

A visit to Al Teatro is always a culinary highlight. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a touch of Italian joie de vivre that immediately conjures up a holiday feeling. I'd particularly like to highlight the Pizza Romana: a crispy, thin crust, cooked to perfection, with the perfect balance of spicy tomato sauce, fine mozzarella, and typical Roman flavors. Pizza lovers should definitely try this – in my opinion, it's one of the best pizzas in all of Augsburg. The rest of the menu also impresses with a great selection of fresh, high-quality dishes. You can tell that quality is paramount here. All in all: Al Teatro is an absolute must for pizza and Italian lovers.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Augsburg at fair prices

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. We had reserved a table for 7 people (early -> 4 days in advance). Our table was in the basement... here we sat alone without any other guests, which again seemed very odd to us, and the ambiance wasn't great either. This wasn't the worst part of the evening... The waiter who served us in the basement was very rude and unreliable. He made it clear to us that he didn't feel like serving guests in the basement. When we pointed out that our table was missing a drink that had been ordered about 20 minutes earlier, there was no apology. In fact, he became rather rude. We had already been waiting 50 minutes for our food (pizza and pasta). After the food finally arrived and a friend of ours asked for spicy oil, only a very bad-tempered, overwhelmed, and annoyed Kellern appeared. We never got the oil... We all felt the same way about this waiter and couldn't enjoy our meal at all. The way the waiter treated us was truly rude. We didn't feel like guests, but more like a burden. The pizza and pasta were OK. The portions were good, but not particularly warm. To pay, we had to go upstairs and pay at the exit/counter... which we found very odd for a restaurant of this size. When it came to paying, we asked the waiter about the situation, but he continued to be rude and said that everything was normal. If that was normal, then I never want to eat there again. We paid a total of around €180. For that amount of money, we would have expected much better/friendlier service.

We stopped by spontaneously and were served immediately despite the full place. Our pizzas were ready within minutes. And the quality and, above all, the price are unbeatable.

The carpaccio was very bland; even with more seasoning, I couldn't bring out the flavor of the meat; it was completely lost under the celery and arugula. The pasta, unfortunately, was nothing special either. Visually, everything was very nicely presented. The service was friendly.

Beautiful location; we sat outside under the umbrellas. The grilled turkey was very dry, the side dishes were rather overcooked baby potatoes in their skins, and the vegetables consisted of overcooked, not-so-crisp beans. The bruschetta was okay, and the spaghetti with tomato sauce that my wife ordered was very good.

We were there last Saturday and sat outside. Unfortunately, we were served after 20 minutes by an unfriendly waitress, who had been chatting with other non-diners on the street. After we were allowed to order, we were initially served the wrong drink, which isn't a problem in itself. However, instead of simply taking back the drink, we were unfortunately served very unfriendly again and accused of ordering the wrong one. Our appetizer plate and salad didn't come with bread, even though many neighboring tables, served by other servers, had it. Apart from the poor service, the food was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, due to the unfriendly waitress, we won't be coming back in the future.

August 19th - 5 p.m. Service was very loud and stressed. It was simply unpleasant to be treated like that as a guest. We stayed because we loved the food. P.S. There were only 4 guests in the shop.

The food is fantastic, and you can tell the people here cook with passion and love. The service is very friendly. When it's busy, it takes a little longer. The ambiance inside is pleasant and cozy. Outside, it would be nice to have a few flower pots to separate it from the street. But that might not be allowed there. 100% recommendation: the food is fantastic, and the prices are absolutely reasonable.

The food was lovely but the first waitress scoffed and ignored us after we didn't have drinks ready to order right after giving us our menus, which took 5 min to even arrive. Rest of the service was very short. We were not made to feel welcome at all.

If you were to cook in Italy the way you cook in your restaurant, you would be expelled from the country.... Italian cooking is more than pizza (with tons of industrial cheese) and tomatoes 🍅 carelessly mozzarella with a leaf of wilted basil... and undefined pasta...

Unfortunately, the service was very unfriendly. I asked for a dinner menu three times. If I hadn't already ordered a drink, I would have left. You end up having to ask two more times if you could finally order something to eat. The same thing happened when paying. Here, too, you had to ask three times. The service is unbelievable. The pizza was average, but the dough was very thin. I would have liked to order something to drink, but the waitress had no regard for her customers. I certainly won't go there again.
