Very charming and rustic atmosphere. There's a regular menu with classic Greek dishes and a rotating menu featuring modern interpretations of Greek cuisine. I highly recommend the latter. I found the complimentary amuse-bouche, which I've included a photo, to be a very thoughtful touch. The dishes are exquisitely seasoned and beautifully presented. Highly recommended!

Fantastic! The food is excellent and something completely different. The location might suggest an old-fashioned restaurant, but that's not the case at all! It's a very modern kitchen with a constantly changing menu of contemporary dishes. The only downside is that it's so good that it's difficult to get a table without an appointment, so call ahead and reserve a table – it's worth the wait!

We had our Christmas party today at the Akropolis in Onstmettingen. I have to say...wow...I've rarely eaten as well as here...the food was amazing...I can't remember the name (something with veal 😅) but the food was incredible...it was a flavor explosion...thank you so much and a huge compliment to the kitchen and the service staff.

Great restaurant with delicious Greek dishes

We're still sitting in the restaurant with 12 people and everyone is thrilled. Top quality, delicious taste, generous portions, the chef explains the dishes perfectly, is incredibly friendly and funny. Completely satisfied, highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back. Update 11/23/25: Just finished eating with 12 people, nothing has changed, absolutely recommendable, simply fantastic.

The new approach they've taken is exactly right and clearly sets them apart from all the others. The service is excellent. We also really appreciated that the owner himself took the time to explain each dish. The portion size is more than ample. Therefore, the price/performance ratio is top-notch! The amuse-bouche was also delicious.

Good day, dear readers, I don't write many reviews, and especially rarely ones that fill my heart and my desire to return to Crete. Before we review the restaurant, however, we need to explain the day's schedule. We wanted to go to the Pumpkin Festival in Ludwigsburg on October 3, 2025, to check out the pumpkin exhibition. After almost an hour and 20 minutes of driving, 45 minutes of searching for a parking space, and the realization that the lines would last at least 90 minutes, we gave up. Out of necessity, we went somewhere else, but the mood couldn't be lifted. In short, the mood was a bit dampened by 8 p.m. As of 8:15 p.m.: The three of us entered the Akropolis restaurant, and our first impression was very positive. This impression was immediately intensified when the owner warmly welcomed us and accompanied us throughout the evening. He explained the recommendation menu, the restaurant's current development, and what we could expect. As of 8:30 p.m.: The welcome from the kitchen, a multi-layered explosion of flavors, was brought to the table with pita bread. (You get this when you order something from the recommendation menu.) This welcome was a light, fresh culinary journey between Mediterranean and Crete. This quality never diminished afterward. I'm simply at a loss for words. Nevertheless, I can reveal the following: A beautiful ambiance awaits you with a service team that puts their heart and soul into it. This is evident in the loving presentation and the taste in everything. The fusion cuisine at Akropolis not only reinterprets traditional Greek cuisine with other cuisines, but also takes you on a culinary journey of taste that is second to none. Conclusion: The Akropolis restaurant not only saved our entire day with its service and culinary experience, but also shaped it. We will definitely be back. With many kind regards, M.R

I was at Akropolis yesterday with a small group and was surprised by the fantastic selection on the menu, with dishes you wouldn't expect from a typical Greek restaurant. We had a special menu, various appetizers, a main course, and dessert. The dishes were all beautifully presented on the plates, tasted excellent, and the portion sizes were also very generous. The chef was excellent in helping us choose the right dishes and later explained all the ingredients. The service was fast, and the staff was attentive. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and would gladly return!
