Exceptional and excellent Greek cuisine all around. Highly recommended.

A very friendly service with explanations of the dishes and menu suggestions. They went out of their way to prepare a starter plate for us, very friendly. The food is excellent; the lamb was buttery soft and very good. Everyone else at the table also had a great meal.

Very delicious food 2024 Update 2025 Despite having a reservation, we were told to wait over an hour with children. That's completely unacceptable; it would never have happened to a senior citizen. We left... Unfortunately, never again, sad, honestly. Completely a disgrace. Then it would be better to only let 30 people in instead of 50.

If you want to eat Greek, you have to go to Onstmettingen! A wonderfully friendly host, fantastically good Greek cuisine at absolutely fair prices. There were four of us, we had some starters together, there was also a very tasty greeting from the kitchen and a Greek grilled plate. Not in the pictures: Gyros Metaxa, Gyros with calamari. We'll be back soon - we've never had such good Greek food outside of Greece! Reservation required!

Very nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. After taking the main order, the boss personally came out of the kitchen with a sample plate. He explained everything very well and it tasted delicious. I ordered a small salad with my dish. The portion size was very large and it tasted very, very good. The main course was also a huge portion. Without exception, everything tasted very, very good. Unfortunately there was so much that I didn't manage to eat it all.

Great, delicious, special food. BUT a renovation would be urgently needed! Both at the dining room and at the entrance. The toilet is also almost unusable because the "bowl" is not fixed to the floor.

After some time we were here again. Some of the menu has been switched to high-quality Greek dishes that you won't find anywhere else. We were promised a flavor explosion and we got it. Perfect! We can highly recommend Gyros Metaxa and the vegetarian dishes after our visit. I ordered a small farmer's salad because I was very hungry. Rather unnecessary because the portions were large. The boss is very nice. We'll be back!

The service and friendliness were top. Two points bothered me. Point 1: A lot of talking before the meal and while the food is coming. I don't care if an onion is blue and I don't care if the cook needs 1.5 hours a day to finish decorating the food. When I go to a restaurant, I assume that everything is edible. Then I don't need a lecture! But that's just my opinion. Point 2: What I found much worse and what I also think is not appropriate is that the waiter, possibly also the owner, said that he wanted us to be honest and go home satisfied, which means that if we don't like something, we should be honest about it. Then he would take the food back and throw it away. How can you convey such a statement to the guest? Is that how you do it these days? Is this how you treat food? Really sad! Regarding the food: Yes, it was good, but nothing special. I expected more after the lecture. Then I'd rather continue to go to my Greek tribe. As always, my honest opinion is welcome.

The service is attentive and warm, the boss himself takes care of his guests, and the new chef is also a real asset. From the first course it was clear that everything was cooked with love here. Each plate was not only a visual highlight, but above all a real experience in terms of taste. The flavors of Greek cuisine come into their own here in an authentic and sophisticated way - I have rarely eaten Greek food this well. For me it wasn't just dinner, but a little trip back home - with a modern, fresh twist. Big compliments to the whole team – I’ll definitely be back!
