This restaurant is really great, totally homely atmosphere and super friendly service. You are even informed about the contents of the food, which, by the way, is prepared like in a 5-star restaurant. If I lived here I would become a regular.

TL;DR: Friendly service, modern interpretation of Greek cuisine, delicious food, but slight deductions due to waiting time and temperature of the food. I went to the Acropolis with my mother this evening and we loved it. As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly and introduced to the inn's new concept right from the start. In addition to the classic menu, there is a changing menu every two weeks that includes modern dishes with which the restaurant wants to stand out from the sometimes somewhat old-fashioned Greek cuisine. And I have to say, they do it really well. As you can see from the photos, the dishes actually look a bit more modern. The taste of the food was also convincing. The grill plate was very tasty. As a greeting from the kitchen there was a velvety carrot and coconut soup with a wonderful, fresh coconut taste - assuming you like coconut. A little tip for the kitchen: Since this is a greeting from the kitchen, two to three spoons would have been enough. A whole bowl of soup was nice, but a little too much. Good thing we didn't order a salad! The main course took a while to arrive, but that's understandable when the restaurant also offers meals to pick up. On the grill plate was a juicy, tender piece of lamb with great flavor, an Iberico Duroc steak that was nicely seared but a little over-seasoned for my taste. Unfortunately, the slightly nutty taste of the Iberico meat was lost a little - maybe next time a little less salt. The chicken breast souvlaki was also tender, juicy and very tasty. The gyros was also tasty, juicy and not too over-spiced - neither too dry nor too salty, as you sometimes experience in other Greek restaurants. The pita bread absorbed the meat juices wonderfully and was therefore really tasty. The rosemary baby potatoes were cooked perfectly – neither too soft nor too firm. My mother had the “gyros meets baby calamari” dish from the classic menu. She also thought her food was delicious, but said it could have been a little warmer. The calamari was tender and had just the right amount of breading – not too much batter and not too many spices. Their gyros were also juicy and delicious. The potato dippers looked like steak fries and were a little too salty for my taste, although my mother disagreed. In any case, they were nice and crispy and well cooked. Due to the slightly longer waiting time and my mother's food not being very hot, I am deducting one star, but with the prospect of giving it back on a next visit. All in all, it was a worthwhile and satisfying visit, and it certainly won't be our last.

The entrance or staircase to the restaurant is a bit like a hotel in need of renovation and you feel like you want to leave again. The actual guest room is rustic, cozy, like a country inn and you can definitely feel at home there. The waitress was super nice and told us the house's recommendations in a friendly, non-intrusive manner. Beyond the normal Greek menu, you can get some extraordinary creations that not only look good but also taste good. All dishes were lovingly prepared. This restaurant is definitely worth recommending.

The stairwell that you have to go through has nothing at all like what awaits you in the restaurant on the first floor. Friendly welcome in a cute and cozy guest room. The service from the owner is impeccable from start to finish, friendly and he takes the time to explain the things you find on the plate in front of you. The food itself is absolutely amazing. I have never had better Greek food, anywhere. Highly recommended. In addition to greetings from the kitchen (excellent cream of mushroom soup), there was also... Main course very high quality ingredients and a portion size that even the hungriest will leave more than full. Reasonably priced for what you get. Absolute recommendation!

The food was super tasty. We have rarely eaten such good Greek food. And the service is absolutely top. Friendly, attentive and what was special about the dishes was explained. It was very good! The food was great, especially the starter plate with the many, sometimes unusual, delicacies must be mentioned. But it's easily enough for two people. We ate very well at the Acropolis. The host was so interested in the recommendation menu with more modern dishes that I agreed to it. The meal was beautifully prepared and tasted very good (a little more meat would have been nice). The vegetables were pretty tasty. The Greek salad also tasted good, but we found it to be a bit pricey. We were well looked after and we always had the feeling that the landlord really cared about the well-being of his guests. Attention: The restaurant is on the first floor, there is a smoking bistro on the ground floor! The location in an old half-timbered house is very nice. I could very well imagine a rustic village pub here. The innkeeper offers impeccable service. He is highly qualified and has very good ideas. Alone: ​​It doesn't fit together. Rustic on the one hand, Greek cuisine on the second and then this innkeeper whose talent and vision, forgive me Albstadt, have been thrown to the proverbial swine here in the village. If he ran a store in downtown Stuttgart with this level of friendliness and professionalism, he would have a waiting list for reservations that could last weeks.

The landlord told us that the restaurant plans to go back to old Greek cuisine and that they are thinking about a concept for it and gave us a separate menu. It was clear to us that we supported such a good idea and chose dishes from this menu, which are otherwise described very well and in detail. My partner had the seafood risotto. Fresh seafood and an explanation from the host on how to properly peel the scampi were also included. Since I tried it, I can say it was incredibly tasty. I had the lamb corre myself and that was also a culinary delight. Between the starter salad and the main course there was a greeting from the kitchen. There was Greek bruccetta and we loved it. Our group consists of 10 people; 10 x grade very good. We ate really well and everyone was full. We were treated humorously and kindly. The old half-timbered house is very narrow and small in a few places, but is still beautifully furnished.
