Delicious. It's a shame that the Egmonts are so stupid as to give up their cooperation. A reason for me never to go to Egmonts again. The shop looks like it did in the Schimanski episode 100 years ago. We will remain loyal to you, promise! Even if we have to eat on the street.

AKL Lebanese Restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Lebanese cuisine! I tried Fatteh Djej there and it tasted incredibly good. The combination of tender chicken, crusty bread, creamy yoghurt and the perfectly balanced spices was an absolute delight. You can immediately tell that they cook here with fresh ingredients and a lot of love for Lebanese tradition. The taste was intense, harmonious and simply unforgettable. If you want to experience Lebanese cuisine, you should definitely visit the AKL Lebanese Restaurant. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back!

I went to eat at the restaurant three days ago after I heard it was good. I ordered a classic Fajita sandwich. It was just a sandwich of vegetables with two pieces of chicken and no taste. What a disappointment.

Das war wirklich das erste Mal, dass mir in einem Restaurant wirklich gar nichts geschmeckt hat. Nun kann ich zu der Art der Zubereitung nichts sagen, da ich zum ersten Mal libanesisch gegessen habe. Mir fehlt daher der Vergleich. Wie dem auch sei. Ich hatte den Mesa Teller und meiner Frau den Schawarma Teller. Wir fanden es absolut nicht lecker. Dieser dominante Zimt-Geschmack und die orientalischen Gewürze bestimmen den ganzen Geschmack. Und was soll so toll am AKL-Dip sein? Hinzu kommen die beengten Sitzverhältnisse und die permanent offene Türe. Schlimmer als in der Schulkantine.

Unreserved recommendation, I've never eaten anything here that wasn't tasty. Mesa Teller was great, I eat something here on average once a week. The partnership with the neighboring shop Egmont to expand the seating is currently dissolved (as of last week) - but that doesn't take away from the delicious food :)

I visited twice within a year. Unfortunately the difference in quality was very noticeable from the first to the second time. Unfortunately there was nothing tasty apart from the falafel: fries were very poor, salad was dry, sauces and meat were poorly seasoned. Very unfortunate.

Although a simple place but the food is very well cooked and presented, lovely service team. One definitely loves to return to this place

AKL is a small shop with just a few tables. But when you would like to eat, they accompany you to the neighbour Egmond. There you can order a drink and choose dinner from the card. Strange concept, but what a surprise. Super friendly and hard working staff. And very, very good and tasty Lybian food and drinks. No wonder this place is always packed. Busy place but we sure recommend.

Wir haben nicht das Essen geschafft und haben uns den Rest einpacken lassen -den werden wir uns heute Abend oder morgen Mittag in unserem Wohnmobil 🚐einverleiben 😋 Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Aachen werden wir hier gerne wieder einkehren! 👋 Auch der Service vom Restaurant und von der Gaststätte (bedienen gemeinsam) war sehr zuvorkommend!

Hallo, ich hab hier zur Mittag Essen wollen mit Freunden Fallafell Rollo. Schnell und nett bedient worden, wir sind weiter gelaufen, ich bin wieder in meinem eigenen Geschäft nach 1min. Rollo aufgerollt doch der Rollo war kalt und der Salat darin ungenießbar und nicht klein zu kriegen. Hatte kein Lust zurück zulaufen um mich zu reklamieren. Die haben es vergessen wollen nochmal auf 😕den Toaster oder Grill es zu erwärmen. Leider dadurch auch das Brott durch die Soße so labberig und kalt. Einfach nicht geschmeckt. Hab in die Tonne geworfen Danke für die Bedienung😘

Really highly recommended. Everything fresh and fast. And if you want to sit comfortably in the evening, you have the option of sitting in Egmont and having the food from the AKL delivered to your table. No wonder the store has been running since 2010. Prices are also very fair.

Nicht ohne Grund ist der Imbiss immer sehr gut besucht! Das Essen hier ist hervorragend und das Sandwich Schawarma sehr empfehlenswert. Es gibt im hinteren Bereich Tische. Die Mitarbeiter kommen vorbei und fragen nach, ob alles ok ist. Ist es !!!

One of the best Lebanese places in the area. The chicken shawarma felt like the one I ate in Beirut. I definitely advise it to everyone!

I recently visited this restaurant and although the food was good, my experience with the service was disappointing. As I ordered, I spoke in a hushed tone because I was tired and had a dry throat. Still, an employee made an unnecessary comment: "Speak up, you're a man!" This comment was not only unpleasant, but also reflected a narrow-minded understanding of masculinity. Masculinity - or a person's identity - should not be defined by how loud you speak. True professionalism and respect are demonstrated by understanding and treating all customers in a friendly manner, without imposing old clichés. I hope that in the future the staff will be more considerate and ensure an inclusive and respectful environment.

Finest Lebanese cuisine. Highly recommended restaurant for vegans, vegetarians, but meat eaters will also get their money's worth here with a large selection of grilled dishes and skewers! The homemade AKL dip is a must for garlic fans. Always worth a visit when you are in Aachen. Unfortunately there were very few seats, but this was counteracted by the possibility of ordering and eating in the neighboring cafe. Unfortunately it's a bit hectic there and ordering via two waiters is a bit complicated.

As always, the food was very tasty with fresh ingredients and crunchy little things. The roll was also tasty and well filled. 27 was cold, waitress says it's normal that it's cold. Left it for a homeless person. This is the second time that one of my dishes has been served cold, thank you!

I highly recommend AKL Libanesisches Restaurant in Aachen city center! The portions are generous, and the quality of the Lebanese food is exceptional. 5 stars for the “Mix it vegan”! I would say it's the tastiest thing I've ever eaten. It just 100% suited my taste.

Respect how you manage to easily provide around 60 guests an hour with delicious food on a weekend evening. Whether at the table or to take away. The two of us had the Mashawi Grill plate. Highly recommended. Freshly and deliciously prepared. Despite being very hungry, we couldn't eat everything. We were then able to take the rest with us. Price/performance is great. Very friendly service and a very friendly boss who keeps an overview even in the biggest rush and even calls a taxi.

I ordered my food to pick up a quarter of an hour in advance. When I arrived I was offered a free dish which was prepared in error. While I was considering whether I should accept the order I had already placed (2 seconds), it was given to someone else, even though it was just offered to me! When I asked for my order it simply wasn't recorded in the system and it had to be remade. The food was still very tasty, but the disappointment ruined the whole thing a bit.

I ate at Egmont a few times and often ordered take-away. The food is great even if you sometimes have to wait a little longer. I've left my pocket money/salary here since school and probably more than in any other shop in the city. And this despite the fact that the prices are very fair and have remained so, especially through the crises of the last few years.

If you are in Aachen, an absolute must!

There is very tasty food here at very reasonable prices. ... to take away or simply sit down for a drink at Egmont next door and enjoy the food there. The Egmont does not have its own kitchen. The cooperation is going great.

The shawarma was delicious. Despite the crowds, the food was served very quickly. It's also pretty cool that you can sit in the bar next door and order something to eat from the neighboring shop. A real win-win for both businesses.

AKL and Egmont work together (drinks Egmont, food AKL). Nice style, nice cooperation concept, but unfortunately the AKL was totally overwhelmed today despite the moderate number of visitors. Sat there for 15 minutes, no one came to take the food order despite several signals given. Waste of time during the already short lunch break. It was also the second rather disappointing experience here.

The food is amazing, is a mix of eastern food and the western add-ons to food. You would enjoy their menu as they have a lot of stuff in it. Shawarma is highly recommended

It's a shame that they adapt the dishes so "for Germans". You miss out on the original Lebanese food, which tastes much better.

The four of us wanted to eat at AKL yesterday. The only "free" table on the terrace was occupied by the AKL staff who were taking a break there to smoke. When we asked if we could eat at the table, we were told "yes in a few minutes when we have finished our break". We thought that was pretty cool! We waited another 5 minutes and they continued smoking without a care in the world, ignoring us even though they knew there were customers waiting. We ended up having a delicious meal somewhere else. The AKL will not see us again. We have rarely been treated with so little respect in a restaurant!!

Real excellent Lebanese cuisine! Very kind staff and quick service. The only flaw is the environment: we were seated inside, too hot and a bit too fast food climate. I would not recommend it for a romantic dinner, but if you want to have a super meal, in that case you certainly can't go wrong!

We recently had dinner at AKL. Because of good reviews, we were often disappointed (especially in student areas). Unfortunately, that was also the case here. The shawarma was quite dry and the rice was rather bland. The sandwich wasn't anything special either. Maybe we just had a bad day when it came to eating. We will go back a second time to convince ourselves otherwise Service was really nice, quick and attentive. There is seating inside and outside. Insanely delicious food, good portion sizes. You can also eat food in the adjacent pub. The atmosphere in the restaurant is rather hectic. Also very tasty things to take away.

One star for good Fanta and music, the rest, no service, we waited 30 minutes for service for food. Inside you only get drinks and only service for drinks. Very tasty food with a large vegetarian and vegan selection at a fair price. Unfortunately you have to wait a long time for someone to come to the table if you want to eat on site.

Food was cold (falafel sandwich), but still ok. The delivery system for those who pick them up is very bad. Instead of being processed in order, the food is given out according to sympathy (acquaintances get food after 2 minutes without ordering, others wait 15-20 minutes for sandwiches). I would like to write something nice, but unfortunately that's not possible. To be fair, I can't say anything about the food because we decided not to order after waiting 35 minutes for the waiter. When I asked a waitress, the answer was that it wasn't her problem. A pity.

Popular - and with good reason. Absolutely delicious Lebanese food served by a bustling staff who produce stunning amounts of hot, flavourful food for a small space. Queues out of the door on the (hot) day we visited nearly put us off but there was indoor seating available and we received our meals very quickly. Definitely worth a visit!

The AKL is a very nice snack bar in downtown Aachen. There are classic Lebanese specialties here. There is only a small amount of seating, but you have an agreement with the café next door that you can also eat the things from the AKL there. The staff is friendly. I had a falafel salad and the falafels are really delicious Update May 2024: I was there again today and had the falafel menu with oriental rice. The food was really tasty. The salad had a bit of a lack of dressing for my taste. And the rice and falafel are also dry. So I would have liked a little more of the yogurt dip. Maybe I should have just asked... Overall it was delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly.

If you want to eat delicious shawarma in Aachen, a visit to AKL is a MUST!!! They have the tastiest shawarma and the best samosas. So far we have never been disappointed. The service is always friendly and nice and you feel very comfortable there. Sitting inside isn't that comfortable right now, but you can do it.

Sure, a lot is sold over the counter, but you can also eat right here with oriental music. If you don't want that, you can grab a table next door in Egmonts, place your order in AKL and can enjoy the very cozy ambience of Egmonts. If you like Arabic/Oriental food, you'll get your money's worth at AKL. And my tip: choose rice instead of fries. Vegans also have a large selection! Have I already said that everything tastes delicious

The place is nice but really crowded and you get to order food and drinks from 2 different restaurant that is next to each other :) We only order one plate of 2 because it's too much for us, and the meat is also on the dried side For the drinks, bloody mary was a nightmare but lychee tropical was really really nice, highly recommend getting lychee tropical to pair it with the food
