Aimy is a solid Asian restaurant with an upscale feel, but without any particular wow factor. The food is well prepared and attractively presented, but nothing that you haven't seen in similar restaurants. The service is friendly and attentive, but not exceptional. Overall, a good restaurant for a pleasant evening, but without any real unique selling points.

Aimy – The express lunch with surprises Today we were at Aimy for the third time. As always, the food was really excellent - there's nothing to complain about. But the so-called “table policy” surprised us a bit. On our first visit we were kindly explained that the table we had spontaneously secured was only available for one hour. Totally fine, clear communication, no problem. However, we were advised to make a reservation next time - which of course we did well. The second time everything went wonderfully: no time pressure, relaxed food, perfect experience. On the third visit, again with a reservation, the rule suddenly seemed to be different. After a hearty starter and the main course (70 minutes in total), we were politely but firmly signaled that our table was now needed for something else. A dessert? Unfortunately no longer planned - that would have exceeded the tight schedule. Incidentally, the whole thing was not communicated to us when we made the reservation, but only at the crucial moment when we ordered the dessert. It is important to mention that we ordered quite a lot and expensive. So it can't be due to lost sales. We have never experienced such a flexible interpretation of table allocation based on time before. We were a little taken aback, to say the least. But good – Aimy really seems to be pushing for speed. Maybe the dessert will soon be available “to go”? Note: Table reservations for lunch at Aimy are only for around 60 minutes - so if you want a solid and filling meal, you have to get there quickly.

We were eating here before a concert - we had marked an area with the word “fancy”. We were impressed by both the first-class service and the fine food, which was more than adequate in portions. The wine pairing was perfect & we are sure to be back here soon!

After we had eaten our excellent starter and dry duck within an hour, we were refused dessert because the restaurant was overbooked by the competent management and guests were only given credit for one hour to eat (including waiting time). If you want to enjoy your food over a longer period of time, you should go to another restaurant. Highly recommended for fast eaters, unfortunately not for me.

The Aimy has truly created a revolutionary concept! Outstanding Asian food, in the upper price range, combined with coziness in Asian chic. Unfortunately, after exactly an hour and 10 minutes, you suddenly feel like you're in a quick snack bar, with the added bonus that you're no longer allowed to order dessert and are asked to leave. Today was the third visit and I again made reservations 2 days in advance, a generous consumption beyond the number of people and yet you are rudely complimented on the final act of the culinary experience. Dear management, if you actually want to adhere to Michelin standards, as they are on your door, you should consider whether excellent food alone is enough. A visit to a restaurant is more than just food, it's about hospitality, ambience and the feeling of being welcome. Unfortunately, that's exactly what falls by the wayside. Maybe it would help to communicate to the customer in advance that the customer only has a slot of 1 hour and 10 minutes to be full and dressed again and not just throw them out the door unprepared. At least that was it for us! Because in this price range you expect an experience, not a countdown to eviction. Too bad and a little without words.

One man's joy, another man's time (or as it seems to be) The starters and the red curry with salmon were very good, I would have loved to try the dessert too… However, there is a time limit there, which didn't allow me and my friends to continue in the restaurant to meet the deadlines and finish the meal accordingly - 1 hour and 15 minutes, as we were told a while after ordering the dessert.

My boyfriend invited me to Aimy for a date night last summer and booked the menu for us. The evening and the meal were a complete success and we were very happy. When it came time to pay, the situation changed suddenly. The bill was presented to us and my friend told the waiter how much he wanted to pay including the tip. The waiter then asked if we weren't satisfied. At first we weren't even aware of what the waiter was referring to until he took his cell phone out of his pocket and calculated for us what percentage of the tip would be what my friend had said he would pay and that this didn't correspond to the standard in Germany. Completely embarrassed, my friend increased the tip. When we left the restaurant, we were so angry about the situation and especially about the fact that our evening had been ruined by such a situation. Our tip was by no means small and boldly calculated, but that really outraged us. In retrospect, we regretted that we only tipped a cent, considering the price category in which the Aimy falls. Food was nice and good, but the end of the evening was just audacious. Making a guest feel stingy is the last thing. We won't come back.

Great food, unfortunately quite short time slots when making a reservation.

The Aimy restaurant near Wittelsbacher Platz could be called classy Thai cuisine. The ambience and food are impeccable. The fantastically presented, well-seasoned tapas are particularly worth mentioning. The main courses are tasty, but approach proven Thai cuisine from above and are therefore okay in terms of price/performance, but nothing more. There are deductions due to the somewhat erratic service. We had reserved a table in the Rose Separee two weeks in advance and still only received a table in the noisy main room. When asked about it after dinner, they just said it was full. From our point of view, this is not an acceptable excuse if you deliberately reserved the place. If at the time of booking a place in the quieter back room - which can be explicitly selected in the online form - this cannot be allocated, this must be stated in the email confirmation. Seating guests elsewhere without further comment can be done, but then it is unprofessional. During the meal, the bottled wine ordered is kept somewhere centrally, which is okay if the service keeps an eye on when to refill. On the other hand, if you sit in front of an empty glass for 15 minutes during the main course and don't catch a waiter to politely point it out, that's not only a shame, it also reduces the dinner experience. The wardrobe that was confiscated from us was only found again after we were asked for the manufacturer's brand and it was identified. That too can be done better. In the end, therefore, ambiguous. The cuisine is very good, the service does not correspond to the price range. Visit was on January 5, 2025, 7:30 p.m.

Almost too good to be true. Beautiful ambience, great food and service that I have hardly ever experienced in Munich. Everything really fits here!

Ich habe meinen Geburtstag in diesem Lokal gefeiert. Frau Kim informierte mich bei der Organisation des Abends, dass ich pro Person entweder eine Vorspeisenplatte oder eine Nachspeisenplatte für jeweils 11,50 EUR bestellen müsse. Dies wurde mir telefonisch mehrfach bestätigt. Leider habe ich versäumt, mir dies schriftlich bestätigen zu lassen. Beim Bezahlen erlebte ich dann eine böse Überraschung: Es wurden 24 EUR pro Person berechnet. Zum Glück hatten wir einen sehr guten Kellner, der uns die Mehrkosten teilweise erstattete. Leider zeigte die Geschäftsführung nicht den gleichen Anstand und die Professionalität wie die fähigen Angestellten. Ich kann dieses Lokal hinsichtlich der Qualität des Essens empfehlen, rate jedoch jedem, sich mündliche Zusagen schriftlich bestätigen zu lassen, um solche Überraschungen zu vermeiden.

I celebrated my birthday in this restaurant. When organizing the evening, Ms. Kim informed me that I had to order either a starter platter or a dessert platter per person for EUR 11.50 each. This was confirmed to me several times over the phone. Unfortunately, I failed to have this confirmed in writing. When I paid, I had a nasty surprise: they charged EUR 24 per person. Luckily we had a very good waiter who partially reimbursed us for the additional costs. Unfortunately, management did not demonstrate the same decency and professionalism as this capable employee. I can recommend this restaurant based on the quality of the food, but I advise everyone to have verbal promises confirmed in writing to avoid such surprises.

Had a Christmas party here. The food was delicious and the service was incredibly attentive and friendly! The dishes are very authentic and immediately reminded me of my trip to Thailand. 10/10!

As a vegetarians they had some pretty good options but some were way too basic. Cauliflower with truffles was the shop stopper and ginger icecream was simply refreshing . Would definitely recommend but some dishes can be a hit or miss .

Perfect for anniversaries. Altough it is a fine dining restaurant, you get to eat a good amount of food. The classical thai crispy duck was amazing, would recommend it. Apart from main dishes the dumplings with truffle was really good. Also great service, love the cockatils.

Lunch review: we made a reservation for 1130 and it we were the only ones there. By the time we left it was almost completely full. The host took our coats and everyone spoke great English. Pad see ew was great, Ramen with Tom Yum broth was not hot enough but very tasty.

High-priced restaurant with good Asian cuisine. What we didn't like was the constant refilling of wine glasses that were still half full - an absolute no-go. We also had to leave the restaurant after 120 minutes and clear the seats. Afterwards it was explained to us that if we order an evening menu there is no time limit... we had a turnover of 1400 € for 12 people, this restaurant missed the chance to host us again...

Always a pleasure. We have been to the Aimy restaurant several times and have been very satisfied every time. The quality of the food and service is consistently very good. The atmosphere is very appealing. The restaurant is always busy, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food. We always enjoy coming back and can fully recommend this restaurant!

Amazing food but quite expensive

This was our fourth time at AIMY. The food tastes really excellent, and although it is a bit more expensive, the quality and taste is really convincing. Unfortunately, there is one aspect that disappointed us and which I already mentioned on site: the labeling of vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu is misleading. The menu has a separate section for vegetarian and vegan dishes, which initially sounds very positive. But if you take a closer look at the allergens, it quickly becomes clear that many of the foods marked as vegetarian actually contain ingredients such as crustaceans, fish or molluscs. Of eleven dishes declared as vegetarian or vegan, only three are actually vegetarian and three are actually vegan. The remaining five “vegetarian” options contain unexpected animal ingredients, which is confusing and annoying. It shouldn't be necessary to study the allergen list to make sure a dish is actually vegetarian. Either the recipes should be adjusted accordingly, or the labeling needs to be made clearer and correct. The choice remains significantly limited, especially for vegetarians and vegans. We hope that improvements will be made here, then I would also revise my rating upwards.

Went there as 4, was a bit of a struggle to get a table for the desired date+time, but we've managed. The price tag and portion sizes are as you'd expect from a 1-star Michelin restaurant, the atmosphere was cosy and the quality and taste of the dishes was excellent. A good place to impress a worthy date or business colleagues.

We dined here for our anniversary and were very impressed. The food, ambience and service leave nothing to be desired. We also particularly enjoyed the very creative cocktails😄

Aimy was a delight! The food was amazing and fun and beautifully delicious! The service is excellent and incredibly welcoming and the atmosphere is beautiful. Even down to the extremely well made and a little heavy metal chopsticks, this is a first class establishment and definitely one I will come back tonight ever in Munich again!

The Aimy restaurant offers an extraordinary taste experience that I haven't had in a long time. The Southeast Asian dishes impress with a modern touch that is present throughout from start to finish. The service was first class, the atmosphere was appealing and the staff were very friendly. I generally don't give excessive praise in my reviews, but I would like to make an exception here as it is an excellent restaurant. Should I be in Munich again, Aimy will be at the top of my list of restaurants that I would like to visit.

The Aimy is a real highlight for fans of Asian fusion cuisine in Munich! The location on Brienner Straße is super central and offers a stylish ambience - just the right mix of modern elegance and cozy atmosphere. The creative starters and finger foods are particularly recommended: the fresh flavors and artistic presentations of the dishes (e.g. the ceviche, the tartare or the dumplings) are absolutely convincing. The main courses are also delicious, but the starters really stand out for me. The service is also very friendly and competent. Only at peak times the organization could be a little better here and there, especially when it comes to refilling drinks or there are short waiting times. But this hardly affects the overall picture, as you can see how committed and attentive the team is. My conclusion: Aimy is a clear recommendation for a special meal in Munich – I would love to come back! Recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy Asian cuisine with a modern touch.

Very nice restaurant with a tasteful ambience. Service friendly but not to everyone at the table. Unfortunately there are big differences in the food (three dishes). 1st price and really great: Grilled fish fillet (black cod or red snapper) very crispy and well grilled, juicy on the inside, first-class taste but also expensive. 2nd prize lobster and glass noodles with crab meat - unfortunately the lobster was quite cool and it was supposed to be grilled, little taste and no roasting, unfortunately it tasted like it was steamed. If there was a dip there, it was completely missing. 3rd prize: rice with truffles (the truffles are very tasty) and chanterelles (hardly found in the rice), an egg on top. Wasn't that great. There is still room for improvement overall.

I am still speechless about the food. Light with a very high quality and perfectly seasoned. I normally don’t leave that many reviews and I don’t wanna simply say only “Aimy has the best curry” because… Aimy deserves more! Thanks Aimy for both great food and service. I will come back!

A special evening from start to finish! The food was outstanding & excellent service. Any time.

Why only 2/5 when the food was so good? It was simply the service. After a little over 2 hours, we were informed that the time for maximum table occupancy had been reached (which only became apparent when we read the reservation confirmation again). However, as he told us at the table, the waiter asked for an extension of 30 minutes by ordering desserts. To date we had a bill of around €420 with 4 people. It sounds logical at first because it was written in the confirmation, but when you're suddenly given the choice in a good conversation over good food, "eat or go," which had never happened to me up to that point, we felt 4 us completely independent of each other, in a certain way a little offended. Accordingly, we strictly stuck to the 10% tip (which from then on was generally too much anyway) but the derailed expression on the waiter's face that followed made it seem almost outrageous. Either the company philosophy is not for us or we are not for the company philosophy. That's why we'll simply avoid the Aimy restaurant in the future... Food very good, the rest “poor”

We were there for lunch and ordered various dishes. The ceviche for €22 was cheeky for the mini portion. Mini spring rolls and absolute standard. The Bao Bun was ok, but not a highlight in terms of taste. Wide rice noodles with beef and broccoli were very tasty. Highly recommend the dessert mango sticky rice. Got a lot out of it. I just don't think 150€ for lunch for 2 people is justified for the performance.

Extremely poor service, the website opens at 1730, so we arrived at the restaurant at exactly 1730 but the lady said it would be open at 6 p.m., even though all the staff were there, taking into account that on the website it opens at 1730, the lady said she knew and they had to do it change :( when we asked if we could sit down and order something to drink, the lady said no and we had to wait on the street ;( complete drama

Llegó para la cena basada en la recomendación de la Guía Michelin. La comida Experience, que proporciona un viaje culinario a través de la cocina asiática. La comida (no tan barata) resultó ser absolutamente deliciosa con una variedad de sabores, texturas y emplatado. Las porciones eran muy generosas y cada uno de los platos era perfecto a su manera. Best Asian food in our Germany trip. Great service and food. The dumplings with truffle were spectacular. The crispy angel hair shrimp dumplings with avocado were great as well. The fried rice with mushrooms and truffle were delicious as well. Nice atmosphere.

One star deducted because the service staff's repeated sarcastic comments regarding the tip ruined what had been a successful visit to Aimy for us. My wife and I probably have to find more tips for the gentleman, maybe we should raid our children's money box for him? Would He then be satisfied? It's a shame, actually all in all a top restaurant - the service was also at a high level, apart from the comments.

Cocktails were good and the food was very good. Soft shell crab bao and seafood green curry were favourites absolutely delicious and the dumplings were also great. Unfortunately the waiter really spoiled the meal by questioning why I'd left a one euro tip. In actual fact i wasnt planning to leave that it was the change. I chose not to tip as he had no knowledge of the menu. When asking about a dish he just re read the menu back. When asked what the difference between two sakes were read the word apple and said that one was apple flavoured and the other was not. After ordering the non apple flavoured sake he took an age to come back and tell us they had no sake. Drinks took a long time full stop. Don't question why you're only getting a small tip. Learn about the dishes and the drinks. Improve your knowledge and you can help customers. We are not stupid.

The food was ok in relatively small portion. but the water was too expensive for lunch. Will recommend it for a proper dinner other than a quick lunch.

We used to go every week at noon. They have changed the menu and raised the price considerably (way, way above all the surrounding restaurants including Café Luitpold). They had already raised prices a few months ago. The previous menu was much more attractive to us (and not only because of the price) since there were more vegetarian options such as a kind of Bun with cauliflower. I wish they would go back to the old menu for fall. The service/attention/ambiance continues to be very correct.

Disappointing. The website and menu look exciting. The lunch menu listed a ceviche under “Light Lunch.” Good quality, but 22 EUR for a “light lunch” the size of a cereal bowl without rice is prohibitive. When asked, the waitress explained that it was a starter (22 EUR for a starter at lunch?), even though it wasn't marked as such on the lunch menu. A 0.7l bottle of still water EUR 8.20. Seriously? As soon as it got busier, the waitresses were a bit overwhelmed. Result: unfortunately never again.

It is one of the best restaurants in Munich and certainly up there as one of the best Thai restaurants in the world. Having lived in NYC for decades as well as been to Asia, California. Each dish was out of the world. The green curry was subtle yet rich and complex. The dumplings are a must, and so is the tamarind glazed meat. The truffled fried rice was too good. Go, go, go!

I think the quality of the food is worthy of the 2023 Michelin title. There are many varieties, including Saison menu The dress code requirements are not strict. One waiter may have just arrived and his service level was a bit shocking. The decoration is very Thai but I don't like it. Business is very good and there are many customers, so it’s a bit noisy.

As soon as you enter you are warmly welcomed and shown to one of the beautiful tables. The staff is extremely friendly and they give you very good advice when choosing dishes. The inner courtyard is also cozy and attractively designed.

Everything we had was outstanding. Flavorful and delicious. We had the green curry with chicken, beef dumplings, and Sepia and the wine suggested by the server was amazing from South Africa.

Dear Aimy Team, we had an outstanding evening at your restaurant! Friendly service, great ambience and outstanding cuisine! I tasted umami for the first time! All dishes were excellent, but one sauce caused a real taste explosion! We will be back.

Fine dishes - charmingly served with annoying disco noise! Well, from the reservation to the payment we had contact with really friendly staff! Thank you very much for that! The menu and the selected dishes are the entrance to a little delicious paradise. There were some exceptions, but that's probably a matter of taste. In my opinion, the wine prices are excessive (at least four times the RRP). The drama is the disturbing, loud sound with disco stomp! At this level (for two with a tip around 300 euros) I want to enjoy myself and entertain myself. My requests for quieter "music" could not be fulfilled because... "The boss thinks the music creates a good atmosphere" - Sorry, "Boss" Unfortunately, you have a disturbed relationship with hospitality. There is no music that pleases all guests - so please, keep concentrating on the kitchen, its good staff and please don't scare away defenseless guests who cannot share your personal taste.

Service was top, food was excellent

We had the tasting menu and every dish was incredible. The cocktails were unique and delicious. Service was a 10/10. The meal was worth every penny!

Sehr attraktiv, sehr gute Lage Nähe Odeonsplatz, Shopping... Südostasiatische "spicy" Vorspeise war ausgezeichnet, auch die knusprige Duck und die Springrolls; das Dessert - Früchte Ragout - ein Traum. Freundliche und kompetente Bedienung. Wir kommen garantiert wieder!

The seafood curry tasted very good. Unfortunately, the interpretation of the green papaya salad couldn't keep up with the Thai original. No green beans belong in it! The waitress was too hectic for me, too present, wanted to refill too early and too often. My cocktail glass was supposed to be taken away even though it still had contents. Despite all the minor deficiencies, the service and food were above average. This also justifies the high prices.

A very nice, modern and upscale restaurant in a quiet courtyard. We work with products of the highest quality and you can taste it too! There is nothing to complain about in terms of craftsmanship or taste, but the main dishes occasionally lack the “wow” effect. The service had a few hiccups. All in all, a very good address in Munich!

We had a lovely dinner at Aimy. The food is amazingly tasty, they have a lot of variety, so everyone can find something for their taste. The staff is attentive, and the atmosphere is lovely. The price point is higher, however based on the experience it’s worth it.
