This is my third visit to Aimy – and every time I'm impressed by this Asian restaurant. Located in the heart of Munich, it not only offers a stylish ambiance, but above all, cuisine that impresses with its freshness, quality, and flavor. Both the appetizers and main courses were excellently prepared – authentic, finely seasoned, and lovingly presented. The drink selection also perfectly complemented the overall culinary experience. Special praise goes to Son, our waiter, who served us with exceptional attention, friendliness, and professionalism. You can tell that service is a top priority here. Conclusion: For me, Aimy is one of the best Asian restaurants in downtown Munich – consistently high quality, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ate there for the first time. It was okay. The cocktail had way too many ice cubes in it, and the taste was okay, nothing special. The appetizers, the papaya salad, were amazing. We found the fried pumpkin slices tasteless. My meal was okay, nothing special. Service was okay. But if I order a bottle of water, they should really open it in front of the customer. The atmosphere is nice, 4 stars. Service 3 stars. Food 3 stars. There are better places. The price/performance ratio for what was offered was okay.

Very tasty noodle dish with shrimp

Food was ok. Although somewhat less of what you expect from a Michelin chef. But what is really disappointing is their obsession with 2 hours limit for a table. There were plenty of empty tables yesterday when they insisted us to leave after 2 hours, as soon as we finished our food. So, if you want to have a nice date with conversation over a glass of wine for example, following your chewing, this is not the place for you.

Was taken here for my birthday and absolutely loved the experience. The service was warm and professional, the menu and vegetarian section had interesting thoughtful options and when the food arrived, it was all exception. I couldn’t believe the quality and taste of the food. It’s not cheap but then what Munich restaurant is, and you get much better quality than most other places I’ve been to. Aimy has restored my trust in the Munich food scene.

We've been to Aimy several times. A lovely, upscale restaurant. Very friendly and mostly attentive service. The food is truly excellent. However, the younger man who serves as host is arrogant and presumptuous for no good reason. It's a shame; you get a bad first and last impression here.

We came here for a birthday and had a truly lovely evening. We immediately got the best table and ordered the seafood tower for two. Every part of the meal was wonderful, and Alex provided excellent food and wine service. You can tell the staff cares about ensuring you have a wonderful evening.

The food was ok but I have to say the price for the portion was too high and a 0.75 l bottle of water for €8.90 was a disgrace.

The food was good. The prices were reasonable. But after we ordered a bottle of water, the drinks were over. We had to actively order wine. No one offered or asked for it. But there were enough staff on hand and they had plenty of time.

Top Wein und ach: Mango mit Sticky rice usw als Nachtisch. Für und einer wenn nicht gar der beste Asiate in München! Angemessene Preise zudem!

The first time, my girlfriend and I were very impressed with this lovely restaurant, but the second and third visits were unfortunately very disappointing. The staff were always busy and completely ignored us. The food wasn't as good, and we spent between €40 and €50 per person, so you'd expect a bit more quality. It's a shame.

Very delicious and authentic food. The wine selection is excellent, the service very attentive, and the ambiance very pleasant. Reservations recommended. We'll be back 🙂

An unforgettable experience at Aimy – excellent cuisine and impeccable service We had the pleasure of a pre-defined gastronomic experience at Aimy, and we can say without hesitation that it was exceptional in every way. The menu, curated down to the smallest details, took us on a true journey of flavours, with refined, balanced and surprising dishes, one after the other. A special thanks goes to our waiter Huy, who contributed enormously to making the evening so special. We didn't have to choose anything, but for this very reason his presence was essential: he guided us with passion and precision through each course, explaining ingredients, inspirations and particularities of the dishes with contagious enthusiasm. Always attentive, kind and present at the right time, he made everything even more engaging. Aimy is much more than a restaurant: it is a complete sensorial experience, where every detail – from the food to the service – is designed to leave its mark. Absolutely recommended, and a sincere applause to Huy for the professionalism and care he showed!

I would give 5/5 for their Tapas , dumplings , fried rice with black truffles, and cocktails, they were really good! Would come back for these. The other mains are good but nothing special. Service is just okay.

We wanted to have a break from Bavarian food and found this place via Guide Michelin. Presentation, freshness and quality of the food is excellent. Portion sizes are filling. Service is attentive and quick. Location is very central and easy to reach. Generally on a bit pricier side but I suppose that is expected given the central location and upscale nature of the place.

Grandiose, thailändische Küche. Thunfischtartar - ein Genuss. Riesengarnelen im Kokusmantel - super Wan Tan und dann das gemischte Curry ... ein Gang besser als der andere. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Hello I went with my wife for dinner. Everything was good. Very good starters, good main course, amazing desserts. I recommend the mango dessert. It reminded me of the mango I ate in Thailand. Especially. The lady who served us, Ana, was a nice girl who made us feel good, we really liked her recommendations. Congratulations Ana. Nach wie vor sehr schönes Ambiente mit sehr freundlichem Personal .Allerdings schmeckt es leider nicht mehr so wie bei früheren Besuchen , einerseits war das Curry fast Suppenartig und es fehlten die typischen Thai Nuancen im Heschmack, anderseits das Massaman eine Art Auflauf mit pastenartiger Konsistenz , vielleicht verkocht ?

Die Vorspeise waren sehr gut aber der hauptgang war nicht gut- Wir 2 Köche waren der Meinung dass vom Geschmack die beide Hauptspeisen überhaupt nicht nach thai/fusion geschmeckt hat- war sehr gewöhnlich . Wir werden das restaurant nicht weiter emfehlen und werden nicht wieder kommen.

The food was delicious and authentic, but nothing special for what you'd pay almost €100 per person. Four dumplings cost over €15 just because they had black truffles on top? What outraged me was that they kicked us out after two hours, even though I was still drinking wine. For €390 for four people, that was completely outrageous! I felt embarrassed in front of my business partners. Not recommended.

Ich glaube es wird mein Stammlokal, wenn ich München besuche: Ein edles, aber nicht übertriebenes Ambiente, ein sehr aufmerksamer Service und die Küche liefert beste Qualität. Beef Tartar oder Bouchon Muscheln, aber mit asiatischen Gewürzen kombiniert, findet man hier zu einem wirklichen Genuss. Aber auch authentischere Gerichte aus der südostasiatischen Küche findet man hier, und auch diese kann man sehr empfehlen.

We've been to Aimy a few times and the menu and cuisine have changed every now and then over the years. On Friday we were there again after a long time and everything was really excellent. From the drinks (Gin Tonic, PornStar Martini's) to the starters and dessert, everything is of very high quality and delicious. There is a large selection for vegetarians too, the service is very courteous and not intrusively friendly and the restaurant itself is very pretty with the beautiful flowers and elegant Asian details. An all-round successful evening.

While on a layover in Charlotte NC to Munich, we met someone who recommended Aimy's. She the Michelin Guide mentioned this restaurant as in giving it a "nod". We decide to give it a shot and it was well worth it. The menu is pretty extensive so I would recommend studying it before you go so as to not feel overwhelmed. The wine list is a bit extensive so I asked the server to choose a resiling for us and it went perfectly with our dinner. The tables are tight so your neighbors are close. The tables are small too so you have to negotiate your plates carefully. The food was 10/10 and I would go back in a heartbeat. The flavors were well balanced and the spice level was on point and the freshness was evident as well. The place was packed so you def need ressy's. The vibe was upbeat and lively, so it's not the place for a quiet date night, which din't bother us. 10/10.

The best dinner experience I have had in a while. We both had the tasting menu with wine pairing. I think about 12 different things and each one was fantastic as were the wines. Very friendly service and a great atmosphere. We were very impressed and will definitely return.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive. We all enjoyed the food very much and also looked very appealing. No restaurant for every week as it is a bit more expensive but highly recommended. We will definitely come back. 👍

Update April 2025: The service, which was in need of some improvement in January, was excellent, attentive and friendly during our visit today. Furthermore, in our opinion, the appetizers are preferable to the main courses because they are more unusual and justify the high price level. ---- The Aimy restaurant near Wittelsbacher Platz could be called classy Thai cuisine. The ambience and food are impeccable. The fantastically presented, well-seasoned tapas are particularly worth mentioning. The main courses are tasty, but approach proven Thai cuisine from above and are therefore okay in terms of price/performance, but nothing more. There are deductions due to the somewhat erratic service. We had reserved a table in the Rose Separee two weeks in advance and still only received a table in the noisy main room. When asked about it after dinner, they just said it was full. From our point of view, this is not an acceptable excuse if you deliberately reserved the place. If a seat in the quieter back room - which can be explicitly selected in the online form - cannot be allocated at the time of booking, this must be stated in the email confirmation. Seating guests elsewhere without further comment can be done, but then it is unprofessional. During the meal, the bottled wine you order is kept somewhere central, which is okay if the service keeps an eye on when to refill. On the other hand, if you sit in front of an empty glass for 15 minutes during the main course and don't catch a waiter to politely point it out, that's not only a shame, it also reduces the dinner experience. The wardrobe that was taken from us was only found again after we were asked for the manufacturer's brand and it was identified. That too can be done better. In the end, therefore, ambiguous. The cuisine is very good, the service does not correspond to the price range. Visit was on January 5, 2025, 7:30 p.m.

A great evening with good food and very attentive service. We chose the sharing menu for 95 euros. The starters were very good, creative and tasted convincing. The main courses were ok. But what surprised us was the dessert variation at the end. Overall, Aimy has good cuisine and the service is very attentive and friendly. Our waitress Mailing introduced us to each course, accompanied by a great wine accompaniment. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our evening. We'd love to come back!

Ein schönes Restaurant mit köstlichen asiatischen Speisen und freundlichem Personal. Leider haben uns die lange Wartezeit zwischen den Gängen und eines der ausgewählten Hauptmenüs nicht ganz überzeugt. Als wir dies mitgeteilt haben, waren bis zu drei Mitarbeiter bei uns am Tisch welche unsere Einwände mit Gegenargumenten wiederlegten. Und uns auf die Zubereitungsart aufmerksam machten. Wir haben dies dann natürlich zur Kenntnis genommen. Wir erwähnen gerne, dass uns dafür, dann zwei Getränke offeriert wurden. ;-)

I had the sweet chili beef fillet and it was absolutely delicious. The three of us had a comfortable table, the waitress was also super attentive, even though we changed our order once, we got the right one. Only the prices are very high. I paid almost €90 for a starter, main course and drink alone.

We would like to share with you our feedback on our visit to Aimy Restaurant yesterday. Unfortunately, we found that the service did not meet the expectations that one would expect from a restaurant of this class. While the food was of the highest quality and we would like to expressly praise the chef, the service staff's treatment of us as guests was not appropriate. After we ordered the starters, I asked shortly afterwards whether it was possible to swap the dumplings for another dish, as I couldn't decide at first. The waitress reacted annoyed and told me in a brisk tone that she had already passed on the order and would first have to ask whether a change was still possible. Although I apologized for the inconvenience, I was rudely told that no change would be allowed. When my husband commented that this inflexibility was surprising for a fine dining restaurant, her response was extremely unprofessional. She took the comment personally, replied in an accusatory tone that she had specifically asked me if I was sure, and became increasingly annoyed. Finally she explained that she was canceling the entire order and abruptly left the table. We were then unsure whether we would continue to be served. The waitress eventually returned, but with a sarcastic remark placed the menu in front of us again. While placing the order again, I was asked in an inappropriately mocking tone if I was sure this time. When the food was finally served, I discovered that the dish I ordered had not been brought to me. Instead of the beef I wanted, I received the lobster - which was admittedly also excellent. Whether this was an oversight or intentional remains to be seen. Since we didn't want to let our evening be marred any further, we decided not to argue again. Unfortunately, we had the feeling from the start that we weren't welcome - and that was only because we were initially undecided. A restaurant in this category should not only impress with culinary excellence, but also with professional service and respectful treatment of its guests. The way we were treated was in no way up to the standard we expect. Despite this disappointing experience, we would like to emphasize that the kitchen does an excellent job. Our praise therefore goes to the chef, who is responsible for the outstanding taste of the dishes.

Aimy – The express lunch with surprises Today we were at Aimy for the third time. As always, the food was really excellent - there's nothing to complain about. But the so-called “table policy” surprised us a bit. On our first visit we were kindly explained that the table we had spontaneously secured was only available for one hour. Totally fine, clear communication, no problem. However, we were advised to make a reservation next time - which of course we did well. The second time everything went wonderfully: no time pressure, relaxed food, perfect experience. On the third visit, again with a reservation, the rule suddenly seemed to be different. After a hearty starter and the main course (70 minutes in total), we were politely but firmly signaled that our table was now needed for something else. A dessert? Unfortunately no longer planned - that would have exceeded the tight schedule. Incidentally, the whole thing was not communicated to us when we made the reservation, but only at the crucial moment when we ordered the dessert. It is important to mention that we ordered quite a lot and expensive. So it can't be due to lost sales. We have never experienced such a flexible interpretation of table allocation based on time before. We were a little taken aback, to say the least. But good – Aimy really seems to be pushing for speed. Maybe the dessert will soon be available “to go”? Note: Table reservations for lunch at Aimy are only for around 60 minutes - so if you want a solid and filling meal, you have to get there quickly.

The Aimy has truly created a revolutionary concept! Outstanding Asian food, in the upper price range, combined with coziness in Asian chic. Unfortunately, after exactly an hour and 10 minutes, you suddenly feel like you're in a quick snack bar, with the added bonus that you're no longer allowed to order dessert and are asked to leave. Today was the third visit and I again made reservations 2 days in advance, a generous consumption beyond the number of people and yet you are rudely complimented on the final act of the culinary experience. Dear management, if you actually want to adhere to Michelin standards, as they are on your door, you should consider whether excellent food alone is enough. A visit to a restaurant is more than just food, it's about hospitality, ambience and the feeling of being welcome. Unfortunately, that's exactly what falls by the wayside. Maybe it would help to communicate to the customer in advance that the customer only has a slot of 1 hour and 10 minutes to be full and dressed again and not just throw them out the door unprepared. At least that was it for us! Because in this price range you expect an experience, not a countdown to eviction. Too bad and a little without words.

We were eating here before a concert - we had marked an area with the word “fancy”. We were impressed by both the first-class service and the fine food, which was more than adequate in portions. The wine pairing was perfect & we are sure to be back here soon!

After we had eaten our excellent starter and dry duck within an hour, we were refused dessert because the restaurant was overbooked by the competent management and guests were only given credit for one hour to eat (including waiting time). If you want to enjoy your food over a longer period of time, you should go to another restaurant. Highly recommended for fast eaters, unfortunately not for me.

One man's joy, another man's time (or as it seems to be) The starters and the red curry with salmon were very good, I would have loved to try the dessert too… However, there is a time limit there, which didn't allow me and my friends to continue in the restaurant to meet the deadlines and finish the meal accordingly - 1 hour and 15 minutes, as we were told a while after ordering the dessert.

My boyfriend invited me to Aimy for a date night last summer and booked the menu for us. The evening and the meal were a complete success and we were very happy. When it came time to pay, the situation changed suddenly. The bill was presented to us and my friend told the waiter how much he wanted to pay including the tip. The waiter then asked if we weren't satisfied. At first we weren't even aware of what the waiter was referring to until he took his cell phone out of his pocket and calculated for us what percentage of the tip would be what my friend had said he would pay and that this didn't correspond to the standard in Germany. Completely embarrassed, my friend increased the tip. When we left the restaurant, we were so angry about the situation and especially about the fact that our evening had been ruined by such a situation. Our tip was by no means small and boldly calculated, but that really outraged us. In retrospect, we regretted that we only tipped a cent, considering the price category in which the Aimy falls. Food was nice and good, but the end of the evening was just audacious. Making a guest feel stingy is the last thing. We won't come back.

I celebrated my birthday in this restaurant. When organizing the evening, Ms. Kim informed me that I had to order either a starter platter or a dessert platter per person for EUR 11.50 each. This was confirmed to me several times over the phone. Unfortunately, I failed to have this confirmed in writing. When I paid, I had a nasty surprise: they charged EUR 24 per person. Luckily we had a very good waiter who partially reimbursed us for the additional costs. Unfortunately, management did not demonstrate the same decency and professionalism as this capable employee. I can recommend this restaurant based on the quality of the food, but I advise everyone to have verbal promises confirmed in writing to avoid such surprises.

Frau Kim informierte mich bei der Organisation des Abends, dass ich pro Person entweder eine Vorspeisenplatte oder eine Nachspeisenplatte für jeweils 11,50 EUR bestellen müsse. Dies wurde mir telefonisch mehrfach bestätigt. Leider habe ich versäumt, mir dies schriftlich bestätigen zu lassen. Beim Bezahlen erlebte ich dann eine böse Überraschung: Es wurden 24 EUR pro Person berechnet. Zum Glück hatten wir einen sehr guten Kellner, der uns die Mehrkosten teilweise erstattete. Leider zeigte die Geschäftsführung nicht den gleichen Anstand und die Professionalität wie die fähigen Angestellten. Ich kann dieses Lokal hinsichtlich der Qualität des Essens empfehlen, rate jedoch jedem, sich mündliche Zusagen schriftlich bestätigen zu lassen, um solche Überraschungen zu vermeiden.

We arrived relatively late in the evening and were served very nicely. Great food and wine. The prices are fairly high given the location. Great service.

The best Asian restaurant I ever had in Munich. The crispy duck, the octopus and the dessert is mind blowing.

Had a Christmas party here. The food was delicious and the service was incredibly attentive and friendly! The dishes are very authentic and immediately reminded me of my trip to Thailand. 10/10!

Vibras? 10 / 10 . El ambiente en Aimy está en su punto - acogedor, elegante y acogedor. ¿Y esos camarones de pelo de ángel? Absolutamente divino. Sin embargo, el servicio me dejó un poco... confundido. Cuando un vaso se rompió por un toque casual, en lugar de conseguir uno fresco, simplemente transfirieron el vino contaminado. No es exactamente lo que yo llamaría servicio de "buena comida". Decepcionante, pero la comida casi lo compensa.

As a vegetarians they had some pretty good options but some were way too basic. Cauliflower with truffles was the shop stopper and ginger icecream was simply refreshing . Would definitely recommend but some dishes can be a hit or miss .

Perfect for anniversaries. Altough it is a fine dining restaurant, you get to eat a good amount of food. The classical thai crispy duck was amazing, would recommend it. Apart from main dishes the dumplings with truffle was really good. Also great service, love the cockatils.
