Aida in Baden-Baden

Leider war der Service sehr schlecht. Vom Restaurantleiter wurde ich trotz Reservierung angeblafft. Auf Alternativwünsche wegen Lebensmitelunverträglichkeiten wurde von der Bedienung zunächst gar nicht eingegangen. Die dann modifizierte Bestellung führte dann zu einem horrenden Preis. Da wurden dann wohl alle beteiligten Gerichte abgerechnet. Die Rechnung bekommt man dann kurz auf einem Handy vorgehalten. Hätte wir nicht auf die Veranstaltung gemusst, hätten wir das Restaurant verlassen.

Am AIDA ist alles exzellent: die Qualität des Essens, die Freundlichkeit des Personals, die stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre. Besser geht es kaum noch. Wir waren bereits mehrmals dort essen und hoffen, dass das Restaurant auch in Zukunft genau so bleibt, wie es jetzt ist. 7 Sterne wären mehr als verdient. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir waren wieder am Sonntag, vor der Veranstaltung Ennio Morricone, essen. Preis/Leistung hat absolut gestimmt auch der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. (Die jüngste Dame im Bunde). Allerdings, was wir schon desöfteren bemerkt haben, dass sich der langjährige Restaurantleiter, Herr Buby, sehr einseitig um seine Gäste kümmert. Es kann nicht sein, dass er in der 2er-Tisch-Reihe, auch noch eng bestuhlt, zwei Gäste umgarnt und die anderen Gäste in der Reihe nicht beachtet. Das ist unhöflich und für Stammgäste und auch neue Gäste nicht akzeptabel.

Wir waren vor dem Maler- Konzert im Restaurant AIDA, welches sich im Festspielhaus befindet. Wir hatten einen Tisch für zwei Personen reserviert, die Dame beim Empfang hatte uns leider nicht auf der Reservations-Liste. Erst wollte man uns gar keinen Tisch anbieten, obwohl wir im Anschluss bemerkt hatten dass das Restaurant nur ca. zu 50 % ausgebucht war. Nach etwas Überzeugungsarbeit hat man uns dann doch einen Tisch angeboten. Der Service war sehr gut. Wir hatten uns ein drei Gänge Menü bestellt. Die Gerichte waren essbar aber nicht wirklich ein Genuss. Zu zweit hatten wir dann mit einer Flasche Mineralwasser und zwei Gläschen Wein (0,2 ltr) dann knappe 200,- EUR bezahlt. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht zum Qualitäts-Level.

We were at the Aida Restaurant before the Madame Butterfly performance. The food was perfect. We've rarely eaten so well. The service was very good, and we were surprised that everything ran so smoothly, even though everyone wanted to eat and pay at the same time. The very high price was absolutely justified given the service. This isn't a visit we'll treat ourselves to every week. Dining here is something special. We will definitely be guests at the Aida Restaurant again on our next visit to the Festspielhaus.

The staff was completely confused, and several different waiters swapped orders and forgot about tables. The bill was calculated based on incorrect orders. The food was delicious but overpriced.

Sehr schöne Location, aufmerksamer Service, sehr gutes Essen und feine Getränkeauswahl. Wir haben den Abend in dieser schönen Atmosphäre sehr genossen und sind rundum zufrieden. Was gibt es Schöneres, als nach einem wunderbaren Abend im Festspielhaus in so einem schönen Ambiente zu essen?

We had a reservation for November 30, 2024, and initially had a huge problem exchanging a voucher for a meal ticket at the box office, as promised. The waiter personally arranged this for us. Great service, good food.

We had a wonderful evening after an event at the AIDA restaurant. The service was very friendly, the food delicious, and the wines exquisite. We will cherish this evening with fond memories.

Avons mangé après un concert classique. Accueil, très agréable, beau cadre, excellente nourriture. Un maître d'hôtel de couleur noir, (que je remercie encore infiniment) nous a placé, il parlait très bien le français, et m'a même pu me faire rencontrer le chef d'orchestre à la fin. Serveur très habiles et stylés. Personnel aux petits soins. A réserver absolument la table, pour un dîner après concert. Merci à toute l'équipe, et sûrement à l'années prochaine,

According to information we received by phone, there would be plenty of seats available on June 27th (Dirty Dancing) if we arrived right at 5:30 pm. Upon arrival, we learned... completely booked. The restaurant manager himself managed to get us a table, for which we were very grateful. The service was exceptionally competent, friendly, and efficient. A small breadstick with salted butter, fresh and crispy, was prepared for each of us at the table! After the aperitif, we were utterly satisfied with our menu choices. For starters, we had Arctic char and chanterelle cream soup. Superb! For the main courses, we had beef entrecote and Dover sole. Both were expertly prepared, and the wine recommendations were perfect. We will definitely eat here again on our next visit to the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden. An absolute highlight of the theater experience. Highly recommended!

Toller Service, sehr gutes Essen und tolles Ambiente im alten Bahnhofsgebäude von Baden-Baden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A unique ambiance and excellent food! Service is now back to the level you'd expect from a sophisticated restaurant. An ideal complement before or after a wonderful cultural event at the Festspielhaus.

Da sich das Lokal im Festspielhaus befindet haben wir einen Tisch nach der Vorstellung reserviert.Das Lokal war daher auf einen Schlag gefüllt und damit ist man wohl überfordert.Der Empfang war noch freundlich aber dann liess es nach.Irgendeine nicht ausgebildete, unfreundliche Aushilfe nahm unsere Bestellung auf und musste mehrmals nachfragen, da er wohl die Karte nicht kannte( welcher Hauscocktail , obwohl es nur einen gab ) und auch nichts verstand.Brot wurde erst auf Nachfrage gebracht. Die Mitglieder des Orchesters und der Dirigent wurden wesentlich besser und freundlicher bedient. Das Essen war gut, das Radler allerdings falsch eingeschenkt, sodass sich Bier und Limonade trennten. Sollte man wissen. Wir würden nicht mehr kommen.

Excellente soirée. accueil adorable, efficace malgré l'afflux de clients. (c'était juste après le concert). . nos différents plats ont été très appréciés. Très bonne table. j'y reviendrai....

Yesterday we ate at Aida for the first time in a long time, and until then we had fond memories of the restaurant. The crew should have been aware of the sudden surge of guests arriving after the Festspielhaus performance. Absolute chaos already when taking orders, and the restaurant management was completely overwhelmed. Drinks were forgotten and only arrived after several requests. Some of the food was cold, sauces dried out, poorly presented, or didn't arrive at all. Many meals were served incorrectly. This didn't just happen at our table; the entire conservatory was left in awe. If we hadn't had such a friendly waiter, we certainly wouldn't have stayed until the end. He was only able to limit the damage. For these prices, you can get better deals nearby. It's a shame, but the processes urgently need to be adjusted (writing orders on slips of paper and then transferring them to a computer is probably outdated).

Wonderful restaurant, especially after a Festspielhaus performance! No matter what time it is…after a concert or other event the restaurant is open! The price is a bit more expensive but there is also noticeably more performance! The nice service manager and his team are particularly great! You will be served attentively and quickly!

Katastrophaler Service. Wir hatten das Pech von einem nicht ausgebildeten Kellner bedient zu werden. Als die Herrschaften, die nach uns kamen schon längst ihre Getränke bekamen und wir uns beschwerten, wurden wir vom Chef gerügt. Es blieb aber weiter auf indiskutablen Niveau. Unser Essen wurde vergessen. Dafür wollte der Chef das Wasser von der Rechnung nehmen. Tolle Geste…. Dann kam das falsche Essen. Ohne Entschuldigung. Dann kam das richtige Essen, jetzt wurde uns der Wein gut geschrieben. Das Wort „Entschuldigung“ kam nie.

Wir haben nach der Ballettaufführung hier gespeist. Essen und Service waren, obgleich das Restaurant auf einen Schlag voll besetzt wurde, gut. Wir können die von anderen Gästen gemachten negativen Erfahrungen nicht teilen und kommen gerne wieder.

Das Restaurant wird vom Sternekoch Harald Wohlfahrt beraten. Entsprechend ambitioniert ist die Karte. Seit Herbst 2019 sind wir immer zufrieden gewesen, die Gerichte waren schmackhaft und einwandfrei umgesetzt. Die Preise sind angemessen. Personal und Chef de Table sehr freundlich, fit, flexibel und professionell. Für einen Restaurantbesuch nach einer Veranstaltung im Festspielhaus muss unbedingt reserviert werden !

Great food, terrible service. Really want to give 1/5 but no, food was great so 2/5 it is. I came in to get a bite before attending Nézet-Séguin’s first Brahms cycle concert. I have never had guinea fowl before, so I was interested in trying. Thankfully, food was tasty, and I loved the dessert as well. Unfortunately, the service cancelled out many plusses I had regarding food. Ho boi, where do I even start. In short? If you don’t speak German, are Asian, or are LGBTQ+, I wouldn’t come here. I was a tourist who just landed in Frankfurt and then came all the way to Baden-Baden. I am not sure what the waiter was thinking, but one thing that’s clear is that he thought everyone coming there must speak German. Clearly tourists like mine are not part of his picture. He was being curt and rude (“well, sit”). I ended up looking up the menu in English online, and pointed what I wanted in the printed menu (which was in German). Well this was kinda fine because I do have certain degree of dysphoria with respect to my voice. Now this is a good time to pivot into the second one. Then a food was brought, and the second staff somehow decided to trigger my dysphoria by calling me “sir”, despite making gender expression quite clear. I was trying my best not to let that affect my enjoyment of food. Really, I was happy with food, and the chef did a magnificent job. But I was indeed rattled by this. (Considering I am relatively early on in my transition, I may give a benefit of doubt.) The second incident may have been an honest mistake (or not), but well the third one really isn’t. After I finished my food, someone grabbed the dish pretty fast, but assumed I was Chinese. Without giving me much moment to say I am not, the person said Chinese phrases quickly and took the plate. What kind of racist attitude is this? Funnily, the one who pulled this antics to me was not white either, so take that what you will. Bottom line: the chef did a wonderful job with the entrée and the dessert. However, the terrible service cancelled all the positives from the food. I know not to let this experience ruin my enjoyment of the concert, and I won’t. But I highly recommend you not come unless you don’t care one bit about the service. Extra no if you are racial minority LGBTQ+. I have another concert to attend on the 10th, and I am very much certain I won’t be eating here, before concert or after concert.

Nur Kaffee an der Bar. Sitzplatz nur wenn man auch gross zum Essen kommt. Konzept ist mir noch nicht ganz klar.
