A restaurant with that certain something extra. Excellent dishes, lovingly served and a rustic, modern atmosphere. (The Hüttenschmarrn is absolutely recommended!) You can tell that the heart and soul of the young owner is in this family-run business and the good mood and the loving treatment within the company is also reflected in the service.

Me and my wife ate the burger, the meat was so tough you almost couldn't cut it with a knife. A few hours later we were both so sick that we had to puke. Burger not recommended

We were there with 12 people on Saturday in fantastic weather. Even though everything was full, the service ladies were super friendly. Anyone who complains about Service Desert D should go there. ... and then the food was great and the price was more than fair. Gladly again! Thank you very much!

Nice destination with good food and friendly service

Definitely the best “Hüttenschmarrn” we’ve ever had. Even if the menu expressly states that it is not Kaiserschmarrn, the Hüttenschmarn is far better. Plus really nice service and a great selection of food and drinks. "Only" 4 stars for the ambience because the terrace was closed/completely reserved.

Our secret favorite in terms of price/performance and ambience is located on Rossfeldpanoramastrasse in Berchtesgaden. Went there twice and weren't disappointed. Even the toilets were worth a visit 👍

I had the white sausage with sweet mustard and a pretzel from the daily special. That was very delicious. The Swiss sausage salad and currywurst fries were also good. Our waiter was a very pleasant and friendly guy, great service. The food came quickly. Prices were totally okay. Great mountain views! Gladly there again!

Unfortunately, as an allergy sufferer, there wasn't much choice but the kitchen tried very hard to help.

Rustic alpine pasture, located in the middle of idyllic mountain panoramas above the Rossfeld panoramic road. Delicious delicacies, nice and friendly staff and an unforgettable panoramic view. We'll definitely be back.

We really liked it, everything was fine

I'm admittedly a little disappointed. We went to the Ahornkaser on Sunday with 4 people at 4:05 p.m. - asked the waitress outside if we could pay by card - yes, no problem. Went in, asked for the menu and ordered drinks. A few minutes later the landlord comes with the menu, but explains to us that the kitchen is now closed and that only baguettes or cakes are available. Sorry, he could have said that directly, but apparently he didn't want to let the drinks deal get away with it. The next surprise comes when paying - card payments are only possible from 15€, I also forgot to mention this information at the beginning... Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the service and feel ripped off.

We drove the Rossfeldpanorama road on a beautiful sunny day. And took a break in the Ahornkaser. Enjoyed cold beer and delicious food with live music and a great view. We will do it again.

The restaurant is very expensive, it has to be said, but the food is to die for. I can honestly say that it was the tastiest German food I have ever tasted. The service was very nice and the view from the restaurant is great! I can happily recommend it!

The view of the mountains is beautiful, a little further is the highest point with a beautiful view, the food was delicious, lots of free parking spaces

Today we drove along Rossfeld-Panorama-Straße and got out at the top and went to Ahornkaser. We found this great restaurant about 1.7 km from our parking lot. Super friendly service and really delicious food. There is everything there for both big and small appetites. 5 stars from us 👌

First of all, of course, the wonderful view, directly opposite the Hoher Göll. You can also see the Kehlsteinhaus. Our stay at Ahornkaser on the afternoon of sunny April 13th, 2024 was THE highlight of our Rossfeld panoramic road tour. As soon as we arrived on the sun terrace, the service staff created a pleasant atmosphere with their friendly and attentive behavior (no longer a given these days). And it continued in this style: a motivated, well-coordinated team served us calmly and yet professionally. Really strong. This attribute also deserves the tasty food, which was not only served promptly but also far exceeded our expectations. A big compliment to the kitchen!!! In addition, there is a very reasonable relationship between price and performance. We felt very comfortable, which was certainly helped by the many good-humored guests. Was this almost family-like atmosphere just due to the beautiful weather and the mountain panorama? Hard to say. One thing is clear, however: we will be back. Promised !

The food here was good and served quickly, but only mine. My partner's food didn't come until I was almost finished, which is unacceptable. In addition, additional guests were unexpectedly seated at our table, a total of six people, who were essentially pushing in from the outside. We weren't even asked if we were okay with this and in hindsight I just accepted it.

Life does not get any better than sipping a drink and chomping down on a curry wurst on a mountain side. This was the highlight of our trip.

Great homemade Schmarn and Kässpatzen and a warming wood oven😉. We recommend!

To stop off, it's probably one of the best locations in Germany in terms of location and view... View - Salzburg, Berchtesgadener Land and Eagles Nest... If you drive along Roßfeldstrasse and don't stop here, it's your own fault - most people just drive past because they're in front of a curve and from the Can't be seen from the street - be careful, see the sign after or before the hill... The new landlord is extremely nice and friendly! For me, who has been to Berchtesgadener Land so many times, it's a MUST... Rating food will come on the next visit... Greetings to the new landlord - the couple without gas at night and the example of there are others too... 😉😎

Today we enjoyed an excellent hut meal in beautiful sunshine. The waitress was very friendly and the service was excellent. Can just be recommended.

Friendly and very attentive service. The meal took about 40 minutes, but we were told in advance that it would take time. The wait was worth it as the food was delicious. The view from there is a dream. We'd love to come back.

Food was great and amazing view, but what pleased us the most is that we went to many cities all over Germany and this has to be the one with the warmest service! Will definitely be back someday when we visit Germany again 😍

The biggest highlight for us was the “Hüttenschmarren”! I've eaten a lot of good Kaiserschmarren, but this one tops everything I've tried so far in terms of taste and consistency. It was slightly crispy and caramelized on the outside; slightly juicy and “spongy” on the inside. So delicious! The portion is also very large. There were three of us there and we were completely full afterwards. :) High praise deserves from us. 👍 The staff is also very friendly and attentive. We found the atmosphere very cozy. If you are traveling near the panoramic road, definitely try the Hüttenschmarren there. ;)

Wir waren im Dezember dort Mittagessen und können es wirklich empfehlen, wir waren mit 6 Personen dort und hatten alles unterschiedliche Gerichte, Essen kam zusammen und es hat jedem geschmeckt, Kellner sehr nett und nicht aufdringlich, haben knapp 90 Euro bezahlt, Preisleistung Verhältnis super...Der Parkplatz war sehr vereist und gefährlich, aber gut, wir haben halt Winter..

Voll und ganz ein erholsames Lokal zum Entspannen, gut Essen und Trinken. Die warme Kaminatmosphäre und die freundliche Art der Bedienung sowie die Einrichtung des Hauses sind wahrlich eine Einladung. Meine Familie und ich waren sehr zufrieden. Der Hüttenschmarrn ist der Hammer, soooo lecker, eine absolute Empfehlung. Vielen Dank.

Die Speisen sind sehr gut und für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Der Service außergewöhnlich freundlich und sehr aufmerksam und das Ambiente durch den wunderschönen Blick auf die Berge einfach traumhaft... gerne immer wieder, egal zu welcher Jahreszeit.

Ein sehr tolle Location und wer hier keinen Halt macht,hat war verpasst. Leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente und super nette Bedienung. Obwohl es recht voll war,war das Personal durchweg freundlich. Am Ahornkaser kann man durchaus eine schöne Pause einlegen und sich wohlfühlen!

Wir waren vor 2 Jahren da, da war es Katastrophe! Und jetzt.... MEGAAAA, sehr toll renoviert sehr leckeres Essen tolles freundliches Personal! Sehr gut!

Phantastisches Essen, tolles, liebes Personal, als uns draußen zu kalt wurde hat man sofort einen Platz im Inneren gesucht.

Traumhafte Lage,sehr freundliches Personal, die beste Currywurst und Pommes. Sehr schönes Restaurant mit bayrischem Flair. Auf jeden Fall kommen wir wieder.

Ambiente wirklich schön, leider lässt das servicepersonal zu wünschen übrig. Man muss aktiv auf sich aufmerksam machen um überhaupt bedient zu werden. Wirklich schade, dass es niemanden mit einer Übersicht gibt. Leider waren auch die Röstitaler aus und das zwei Stunden bevor geschlossen wird. Schade. Nächstes mal.
