Ahornkaser in Eck

We had a birthday party at the Ahornkaser, and everything was perfect! The food, service, venue, prices… everything was top-notch! Thanks again to Patrick and the entire team!

Easy 5 star experience: Amazing scenery, friendly and quick service, great espresso (you don't get such much in Germany), and the best apfelstrudel I have ever had.

Great location, but still closed when we visited.

Such a beautiful place to come on a sunny day. Excellent food, excellent views. I love how they decorated the inside of the restaurant also the bathrooms are nicely decorated with stone Stone sinks. Little details with specialty bulbs as you go downstairs and cute little decorations throughout.

Highly recommended! We stopped here after driving along the Rossfeld Panorama Road. Even though we arrived just before closing time, we still received delicious cake, coffee, and a snack. The staff was very friendly, and the view is wonderful.

A great restaurant on Rossfeld Panorama Straße. Several great hiking trails start or end here. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The price was reasonable; we had three drinks, apple strudel, currywurst with fries, and cheese salad for just under €54. The waitresses were very friendly and efficient. We'd be happy to come back.

We've been to Ahornkaser a few times. It's a pleasant restaurant with friendly service. The food is good😋 and the portions are absolutely generous. The espresso, served with a glass of water, is amazing👍 It's a great place to take a break. The price/performance ratio is absolutely fine. I recommend Ahornkaser without hesitation.

A nice place to stop for a bite to eat, cozy and hearty, and in a quiet location. We only had a few drinks there, but the food from the neighboring tables and the menu looked promising.

A beautiful view, but the service and waitressing are completely awful. We wanted apple strudel with ice cream, nothing else. When ordering, we were asked countless times for a drink, and then for the main course. We won't let ourselves be manipulated like that; we got up and left without buying anything. Only a few people don't address me informally. With this waitress, addressing me informally without being asked was completely unacceptable. The prices quoted are, to say the least, hard to accept. Everything is designed for a quick turnaround.

Maybe we were in this place at the wrong time, but we weren't noticed. After us came people who got food before us. There wasn't that much activity at the moment, but it was manageable. You should keep an eye on your customers. After asking if there was coffee crema, thin filter coffee came. When asked, they said there was no coffee crema...weird.

A great place to rest at the top of the Panoramic Road. The view is amazing. The coffee is ok, we in Bosnia are used to a different kind, but this espresso was also satisfying. But that's why cakes... Fantasy. Even though we were there a few days ago, we still can't decide whether we ate apple strudel, cheesecake or sweet potatoes better.

Respect to the chef👍👍👍 The fries were perfect and seasoned perfectly with your seasoning mix. The currywurst wasn't a run-of-the-mill sausage either, it was really tasty and the smoked aroma was subtle. Your homemade curry sauce was great, I haven't had such a good sauce in a long time. There was also a cool Radler and a Ski-Water, both very tasty. The service is great, very friendly, attentive and fun. I enjoyed the time up there with friendly table neighbors and had a good time.

The food was really excellent, as well as a fantastic view and a stylish ambience. The staff was mostly friendly and accommodating - with the exception of an older female waiter who unfortunately seemed very rude. Overall, a nice experience – definitely recommended.

A must when we vacation in Berchtesgaden (7 times). Great economy, recently renovated. Price 👍, service 👍, are always at Ahornkaser in winter. There is also the option to sit outside in snow and sunshine. The mulled wine tastes even better. Always happy.

The Ahornkaser is a really great restaurant with a great ambience, excellent food and friendly staff. I would actually give 5 stars anywhere. We clicked through the homepage in advance for information and found the opening times via the menu. Among other things, it says that during the Easter holidays it will be open from April 14, 2025 until 5:00 p.m. (instead of 4:00 p.m., as it says on the home page). We had a journey of almost 1.5 hours and then found out that it was closed from 4 p.m. It can't actually be that there are different times on the homepage... unfortunately we couldn't prove it because we didn't have a good network there. But it's actually true, the three of us looked it up several times. I felt like we were a bit annoying to the staff, but we just wanted to avoid further disappointment for visitors. Because it would be very annoying if you came from further away, paid the toll for the panoramic road and then maybe didn't get anything to eat because you were too late...Thank God that didn't happen to us, we were able to eat very tasty, even though the kitchen was actually already closed! Top!!! Thank you very much for this, but please revise the “Opening times” item in the menu!!

The Ahornkaser is a real highlight on the Rossfeld Panorama Road! The location is simply fantastic – high up in the mountains with a fantastic view of the Alps. The large sun terrace is particularly impressive, where you can fully enjoy the fresh mountain air and the panorama. The menu offers a wide range of delicious dishes and drinks, so there is something for everyone. The cheesecake is particularly recommended – a real must for anyone who loves sweets! The ambience is also great: outside I enjoy the idyllic peace of the mountains, while inside there is a modern but cozy atmosphere. A perfect place for an enjoyable break in the Alps!

The food was very tasty, the service was really friendly and the inn is completely furnished with attention to detail. The view up here is also a dream, just really beautiful and I recommend Ahornkaser and his team!

Just escape the fog and enjoy the sun - that's exactly what you've come to the right place for. There is also hearty food, good entertainment and a waiter who looks a lot like Hollywood actor Adam DeVine. What more could you want? Maybe 1-2 more apple radls on the plate, because the portion was quite small. The three pieces on the plate were excellent.

A real insider tip in the mountains! We absolutely loved the Ahornkaser – super friendly hosts, a cozy atmosphere and absolutely fair prices. But the highlight was definitely the Kässpatzen – the best we’ve ever eaten! Plus the breathtaking view of the mountain landscape. A perfect place to stop off after a hike or skiing or to simply unwind. Important to know: The road to the Alm is a toll road, but the view and the culinary highlights are absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back!

Very tasty, very friendly, very well located. Starting with the plenty of parking spaces on the street and directly in front of the restaurant, to the very friendly and helpful staff, to the absolutely delicious food. We had schnitzel with fries. The fries are particularly tasty and prepared differently than usual. All in all, highly recommended. If it wasn't behind the toll station, we would probably have driven past it one or two more times during our vacation.

Quaint yet comfortable hut. Reachable by car via the panoramic road (toll). View is awesome. Service incredibly friendly. The flatbreads are recommended and the baked apple mulled wine tastes great!

A restaurant with that certain something extra. Excellent dishes, lovingly served and a rustic, modern atmosphere. (The Hüttenschmarrn is absolutely recommended!) You can tell that the heart and soul of the young owner is in this family-run business and the good mood and the loving treatment within the company is also reflected in the service.

Me and my wife ate the burger, the meat was so tough you almost couldn't cut it with a knife. A few hours later we were both so sick that we had to puke. Burger not recommended

You don't expect good service at a mountain pasture... even though it was full, the two ladies were very friendly. Many people can learn something from there.

Definitely the best “Hüttenschmarrn” we’ve ever had. Even if the menu expressly states that it is not Kaiserschmarrn, the Hüttenschmarn is far better. Plus really nice service and a great selection of food and drinks. "Only" 4 stars for the ambience because the terrace was closed/completely reserved.

Our secret favorite in terms of price/performance and ambience is located on Rossfeldpanoramastrasse in Berchtesgaden. Went there twice and weren't disappointed. Even the toilets were worth a visit 👍

I had the white sausage with sweet mustard and a pretzel from the daily special. That was very delicious. The Swiss sausage salad and currywurst fries were also good. Our waiter was a very pleasant and friendly guy, great service. The food came quickly. Prices were totally okay. Great mountain views! Gladly there again!

Unfortunately, as an allergy sufferer, there wasn't much choice but the kitchen tried very hard to help.

Rustic alpine pasture, located in the middle of idyllic mountain panoramas above the Rossfeld panoramic road. Delicious delicacies, nice and friendly staff and an unforgettable panoramic view. We'll definitely be back.

I'm admittedly a little disappointed. We went to the Ahornkaser on Sunday with 4 people at 4:05 p.m. - asked the waitress outside if we could pay by card - yes, no problem. Went in, asked for the menu and ordered drinks. A few minutes later the landlord comes with the menu, but explains to us that the kitchen is now closed and that only baguettes or cakes are available. Sorry, he could have said that directly, but apparently he didn't want to let the drinks deal get away with it. The next surprise comes when paying - card payments are only possible from 15€, I also forgot to mention this information at the beginning... Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the service and feel ripped off.

We drove the Rossfeldpanorama road on a beautiful sunny day. And took a break in the Ahornkaser. Enjoyed cold beer and delicious food with live music and a great view. We will do it again.

The restaurant is very expensive, it has to be said, but the food is to die for. I can honestly say that it was the tastiest German food I have ever tasted. The service was very nice and the view from the restaurant is great! I can happily recommend it!

Today we drove along Rossfeld-Panorama-Straße and got out at the top and went to Ahornkaser. We found this great restaurant about 1.7 km from our parking lot. Super friendly service and really delicious food. There is everything there for both big and small appetites. 5 stars from us 👌
