The ambiance was great, the service was okay, but the cook clearly didn't learn during his apprenticeship that food needs to be seasoned. It had no flavor.

Extremely polite service staff and excellent food. The interior design is also very elegant. Furthermore, the entire restaurant, including the restrooms, is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. In short: there is absolutely nothing to complain about. We will definitely be back.

A truly special Mediterranean restaurant! First-class ambiance, first-class service, and the food—the selection, preparation, freshness, and taste—was also first-class! I highly recommend it. A wonderful experience, and everyone was very polite, attentive, and yet relaxed, so I/we felt comfortable at all times. We were there with a small group, spontaneously without a reservation, and were given a lovely table. The opening hours were also incredibly convenient!

Hmm... I was wondering since when this became a restaurant for dogs. Has the owner changed? Apparently! It's not nice to have dogs coming and going!!! They don't belong in a restaurant!!! And all that barking! It wasn't a pleasant restaurant visit for us. Anyway, we won't be coming anymore, and neither will our friends.

It's a very nice restaurant that I definitely recommend. We had various types of meat that were really well prepared and delicious. The rump steak was excellent, and the minced steak was seasoned differently and was very juicy. I haven't had such a good minced steak in a long time. The price-performance ratio and ambiance are excellent, with very good service. I'd be happy to come back.

We have been planning to get here for about 2 years but only now have we succeeded. 5 stars is not enough for the perfection we experienced. Initially we said we were just going in to have coffee and something sweet.... but the big surprise was the moment we were greeted by Miss Gabriela (who deserves a 10 for her kindness and especially because without her help it was harder for us to decide because we don't speak German well and Gabriela speaks our language.) We've been to Agora for the first time in a very long time. We were very pleasantly surprised by the ambiance: - Music not too loud - All waiters and waitresses dressed appropriately, something you rarely see these days. - Very fast service, even when the place is full. - During the coronavirus pandemic, investments were made to create a beautiful, shaded winter garden. The fenced-in playground also allows families to keep their children entertained. - Restrooms are exceptionally tasteful and clean. - In terms of cleanliness and design, the restaurant is truly impressive, and others should take a leaf out of their book. About the food: - You'd think you'd go to a Greek or Turkish restaurant, but the restaurant considers itself a Mediterranean restaurant. I have a problem with that, because what exactly is Mediterranean cuisine? Mallorcan, Iberian, African, Greek, Maltese, Sicilian...? If they also serve pizza, then probably Italian too – I would prefer a clearer specialization, as I can't imagine a chef mastering this Mediterranean cuisine. At least not at the level of a small-town restaurant. - The menu seems very extensive at first glance, but ultimately, especially the meat dishes, it's just various plate dishes, like you'd expect from a Chinese takeaway, with one or two things swapped out. One plate has souvlaki, another has bifteki, and the rest is almost the same. We ordered a two-person platter for €58 and were really disappointed. It was certainly tasty, but it was certainly no gourmet experience or a taste revelation – no better than the kebab shop around the corner. On the other hand, it was completely overpriced; there's no rump steak on it at all, just two parts of it. A bit of gyro is placed underneath, a bit of chicken and other meat on top, a bit of green salad for decoration, two scoops of rice and two scoops of tzatziki, and the whole thing, for just under 60 euros, is completely unreasonable. The steak fries were soggy and not warm enough. The price is simply overpriced.

Very tasty, great service, we felt very comfortable!

Four of us spontaneously went there for lunch today. The restaurant is stylishly decorated, we immediately felt at home, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Special praise goes to the kitchen. We eat out often, but this was by far the best meal I've ever had; it's hard to top. We will definitely come back, even though it's a long journey. Thank you again for the great service and delicious food.

We visited with our cycling group and were warmly welcomed with a bottle of ouzo. The food was excellent, the staff extremely friendly, and the decor very tasteful. Highly recommended!

Amazing food We ordered two Athens plates. Very good quality and tasted amazing. We also had an appetizer and dessert, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was super friendly and accommodating. The food arrived after about 15-20 minutes.

We've been there five times since we first met in June, even though it's a good 50 km drive from Bad Zwischenahn. The restaurant is pure indulgence. The food is top-notch, the staff are friendly, polite, and unobtrusive, and the prices are absolutely reasonable.

I really thought about how to write this review so it seems honest and not fake. I then decided to just briefly describe our visit to the restaurant. That really says it all. We stopped in spontaneously last Sunday. We had a few hours' drive behind us, as we were on our way to Wacken. When I saw the other guests' clothes, I just thought, "Let's see how they feel about us. We don't really fit in here." But we were kindly assigned a table, and when we asked the staff if they knew of an inexpensive guesthouse, within minutes the chef was sitting at our table and advising us on accommodations. A Marsala on the house, and the meal, or rather the meal, began. Both the starter and main course were excellent, the service attentive, and the welcome from the kitchen simply delicious. It couldn't be better. I would like to take this opportunity, also on behalf of my wife, to thank you for a wonderful evening when we had actually only expected a snack on the way. THANK YOU!

The last few times were better. The service was very disjointed, no one was really responsible for our table, language barriers, and several things went wrong. My liver was far too raw on the plate, and no offer of a new piece, no deduction from the bill, no offer of a drink, or anything like that, which I would expect for a plate price like that in a restaurant like this. An Alster beer instead of a non-alcoholic wheat beer. When I asked to change it due to the price difference, I was then rudely told that I had ordered it that way. Someone who isn't allowed to drink alcohol probably wouldn't order one! I've loved this restaurant for years, but I'm starting to get the impression that how everything looks on the outside is more important than whether the guests go home happy, full, and satisfied. The starter was completely forgotten; after pointing it out, the main courses arrived, and when I asked them, they said, "Oh yeah, the kitchen must have forgotten and left." No apologies, nothing. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment for us on such a special day as our wedding day, and there wasn't enough time to talk to anyone about it. We hadn't even gotten up properly when our table was given to people already waiting, who were already at the table without me having finished my drink. It's otherwise such a great place, but today we were very disappointed, unfortunately 😥

An unforgettable evening for our paper wedding! We celebrated our paper wedding at Agora – and it was simply fantastic! The food was delicious, with lovely, generous portions, lovingly prepared, and a true highlight in terms of taste. Special praise goes to the friendly, attractive waitresses who looked after us attentively and warmly throughout the evening. We felt completely at home. And as if that wasn't enough: There was even a little surprise at the end – the lemon was the icing on the cake of the evening! 😄 We had a truly wonderful evening and will definitely be back. We had a company dinner in the winter garden and were served in a friendly manner: the food was very tasty and the drinks were well chilled - overall a worthwhile visit. Price-performance ratio is right, parking spaces behind the house (and also opposite the tax office after work).

Prices ok, we were there with a group, two dishes were not fully cooked. The staff's sense of humor was questionable, the waitress took two of the guests' handbags (including mine) without asking and walked around the room with them - not funny, as there were valuables in the bags. Not a place for regular visits for me, ok for every now and then, but the furnishings and atmosphere are pleasant

Very good restaurant with upscale prices The Agora restaurant offers a really pleasant atmosphere and delicious dishes that are prepared with a lot of love. The quality of the food is excellent and you can tell that emphasis is placed on fresh ingredients. A small downside is that the prices are slightly higher compared to other restaurants. Nevertheless, the visit is worthwhile for anyone looking for a special culinary experience. It's definitely a nice place for a special occasion or a relaxed dinner.

Very good food. However, the service was a bit ambitious, we were asked about the same thing 4 times by different people within 5 minutes. It was too loud and hectic for us and was more interesting for younger guests.

First of all: as a guest, look carefully at the bill before you pull out the card! They initially brought plum schnapps to our table, and at first we thought they were on the house, as is the case in many restaurants. But it wasn't until we got home that we noticed that the schnapps had also been accounted for! This is incredible!! More: - Food was way too salty, especially the tomato rice - Staff is totally unfriendly and seems bored and unmotivated. They also seem to gossip about the guests (?). Simply unprofessional. They can all dress smartly, but “from the inside” they don’t demonstrate professionalism - The ambience is pretty cheap with faux leather and indirect lighting - Basically it's all a Turkish restaurant, which is unfortunately TOO overpriced. I'd rather go to my favorite kebab shop for the same meal for significantly less money.

The total check is 106 euros. They immediately brought me masala as a compliment. We ordered a Dish for 3 people, the waiter said that this dish would also contain seafood, but besides fish, there was nothing else. The dish itself is somewhat tasty, somewhat Sukhova, but overall not bad.
