The food tasted okay. Two of the six meals were cold or not hot. Despite the restaurant being empty, we waited almost 45 minutes for our food.

Delivery took longer than stated, with the excuse being an incorrect delivery address, even though three previous Lieferando customers had no problems. The Italian salad simply contained pickled cabbage, carrots, and beans! Horrible!

Unfortunately, a total disaster. The previous customer's beer glass still had the remains of the previous customer in it. I swapped it for a bottle of Helles. Finally, I realized it was unfortunately expired. It's a real shame I still had to pay for it! There was no apology, either. The food wasn't tasty either. Only three mushrooms on the Jägerschnitzel. The fries for the Pfälzer platter only arrived after the plate was half empty. Overall, a big minus. We won't be back.

Very good cuisine and always delicious

Despite the bad reviews, we went anyway. The beer was very warm, the salad tomatoes had two tiny living creatures on them, and the woodruff Prosecco Spritz wasn't tasty. I returned it and ordered a Coke. The woodruff Prosecco was still charged, even though I had only drunk a little. The two waitresses (a very young man and woman) weren't friendly... they were rather shy and reserved. The menu/daily special is far too extensive. We won't be going there again.

We actually really like eating there. Today we were there and had to wait an hour for our food, and that was with a toddler. There were only two other tables occupied. The bill also included an extra charge for a side salad that we hadn't ordered. When we complained, we were even accused of being unkind. We had the children's meal wrapped up and had to pay an extra €1 for that, too. All in all, not a pleasant experience. We probably won't eat there again.

There is a nice and quiet seating area outside. The staff are very friendly and the food is great.

We arrived a few weeks ago on a Saturday (30 km one way) and wanted to eat at Adam's Alte Scheue around 12:00 PM. BECAUSE the website said it was open. BUT we found the doors closed. No sign, no staff. I find that truly impossible!

The atmosphere is unfortunately not that good. No music, no proper tablecloth, too much kitch lies in glory. The pizza is unfortunately anything but Pizza Kamman. When the kitchen door is open it is very loud. Hortman only leads to discussions. The young waiters unfortunately do not belong in this restaurant. They do not even ask if we would like anything else. Unfortunately only one star and it does not even deserve that star.

We had again pre-booked a table for our family for yesterday, Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, 5 p.m., a total of 6 people. When we arrived we were sent away by two employees on the grounds that the restaurant was closed for a short time: no explanation was given as to why. A large group of other guests were also sent away and the entire outdoor area was actually empty. Particularly annoying: my mother is disabled and if we had received a cancellation in time, we would have been spared the difficult effort of finding another restaurant on Saturday evening! We've actually always been happy there for years - unfortunately that's changed since yesterday! Unfortunately no longer recommended!

The courtyard area is visually nicer than before and there is no longer so much kitsch and clutter around. The new tenants/staff are also friendly. But unfortunately the food is not very good. The meat was inedible. The menu and the boards set up are overcrowded and not clearly structured. It's better to offer a lot less on the menu, but good quality. Unfortunately, our friendly comment that the meat was unfortunately inedible was not addressed at all. We weren't even said goodbye. What a shame! With a capable chef and staff, you could really do something with this restaurant...And what's really always astonishing is that there are always people who "eat up" everything...That's why the good reviews are no wonder...

I recently had dinner in the Old Barn with four women. We had 5 different menus, all of which were appetizing. We were very satisfied with the service, friendliness and atmosphere. Performance and price are in good proportion. Gladly again !

Super tasty and a large selection, including seasonal ones! The portions are great, so you'll always be full and the taste is invariably delicious! Feel free to come here regularly! You are sometimes particularly surprised by a slightly Indian taste of the food due to herbs or something similar. It tastes great too, but sometimes you don't expect it :D

UNDERGROUND!!! The food was a disaster. Sauce came out of the bag and the meat was molded. Plus it was so cold that we sat there with our winter jackets on! When I paid I wanted an invoice, but they couldn't issue it because the cash register was out... of course! Never again!!!!

We have been to this restaurant several times, but this time it was a bitter disappointment. The food was not only bad, but simply inedible - especially the schnitzel, which looked like molded meat and had nothing to offer in terms of taste. It was also uncomfortably cold in the restaurant, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. The service also left a lot to be desired: unfriendly and not very helpful. Unfortunately, the impression that was already clouded on the last visit has been clearly confirmed this time. We probably won't come back.

They are actually regular guests in Adam's old barn, the food is good and in the summer you can sit outside. Were there on December 31st 24 with 8 people. Had to sit alone on the 1st floor, the room was barely heated and the staff couldn't go upstairs always pleasant. But the biggest disappointment is the prices. They try to quickly collect a holiday surcharge, especially since we were informed that there are no pasta dishes and no pizzas. And that The coronation was when paying, because the prices were increased again compared to the menu. Absolute no go. Even the daughter who served us hasn't heard anything about politeness. That was probably our last visit there.

We have been coming to Adams Alter Scheune regularly for many years because we really appreciate the ambience, the service and the food. The current owners, Gill and his family, are very friendly hosts and have expanded the previous owner's menu to include some very tasty dishes. The Indian specialties in particular are highly recommended and an absolute asset to the restaurant - we'd love to have more of them! We always feel very comfortable here and look forward to the next dinner.

The atmosphere in the old barn is really beautiful and well suited for larger parties in the summer. The food, however, is terrible. The service also leaves something to be desired.

We were there for the first time today. Starter: Snails with herb butter and tomato soup. Both delicious. Snails without houses and certainly not cheap goods. Main course: Palatinate Dreierlei and beef liver on mashed potatoes with onion sauce. Liver dumplings, bratwurst and Saumagen were excellently seasoned and we have never eaten such tender liver in our lives. Dear readers, please come to Adam's old barn and try the food here. We'll definitely be back

The food in Adam's old barn is always freshly prepared and tastes great. We have already seen the delivery of fresh meat ourselves, so nothing like frozen goods. And yes, if the restaurant is full inside and outside too, it may happen that you have to wait a while for the fresh food. Every person only has two hands to work with. And we don't think it's good to write a bad review just because something isn't delivered straight away. Please be realistic.

Whether it's the starter plate, the rump steak or the goose dinner with friends at Christmas time... We can only recommend this restaurant!!!

Wir waren schon häufiger in Adams alte Scheune bei den neuen Pächtern essen. Mit der ganzen Familie, Freunden und zu zweit. Es war jedes Mal hervorragend. Wir mussten nie lange warten. Die Familie Gill ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir sind mittlerweile Stammgäste und lieben auch den schönen Biergarten und das Ambiente im Restaurant.

We first ordered an Italian appetizer platter. A nicely presented platter arrived. But unfortunately it contained various cheeses from the package from the supermarket, among other things. Sliced ​​cheese. Salami from the pack and even cold cuts sausage from the pack. In the middle there were warm "grilled vegetables" which mainly consisted of peppers and zucchini. Two tiny bowls with 2 stuffed peppers, dried tomatoes and one (!) olive, all packaged products from the supermarket. So it had almost nothing to do with “Italian”. For €17.90 that was very outrageous and an insult to Italian antipasto cuisine. The two main courses (schnitzel with pepper sauce and combination) were well. So overall not recommended, we won't go there anymore.

The pizza was very dry as there was no tomato sauce on it. Unfortunately it was forgotten. Noticed when I took a bite at home. Cheese, tomato slices and 3-4 basil leaves on top. I couldn't enjoy it dry and had to throw it away. It was annoying! The next time I order a pizza, I lift the topping and look underneath.

We waited almost 2 hours for our food today. Unfortunately, the information that it would take that long didn't come until the order was placed. Prices are average. Drinks came quickly. 3 Riesling spritzers in 3 different flavors. Fried foods were OK. Chicken curry tasted like a flavor enhancer and the knuckle pan sat in my stomach like a dead dog. Nothing for us. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is really nice.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding here. The preliminary discussion was absolutely uncomplicated and the day itself was indescribably beautiful. We have been regulars at this restaurant since the Gill family took over the place. We have eaten the menu up and down and were always very satisfied. No matter whether pizza, meat, fish or Indian, it is always very tasty. To all NEGATIVE reviewers: Neither frozen goods nor ready-made sauces are used here, and if you order Indian, you have to expect a certain spiciness in your mouth. Everything is freshly prepared. This takes time, especially if the restaurant is busy.

Today we were very disappointed as we hadn't specifically ordered anything spicy. The food came much later than our partners' and it was very spicy. After a few minutes the food came back, just as spicy. When we paid we pointed out to him that it was very spicy again. No response, went back and paid in full, unfortunately that was the last time. The food tasted great: horseradish with boiled beef. It tasted as delicious as it did back then with mom. My husband had a rump steak with lots of garlic which was very good and the fries were super crispy and well seasoned. We always like to come back.

Also, wir waren schon oft dort Essen, aber..... es wird immer "schlechter" Cordon blue trocken und verbrannt, die Kroketten dazu fast schwarz. Putenbrustschnitzel ebenfalls trocken, Pommes total versalzen. Schweinefilet mit Peffersoße: Filet zu trocken, obwohl ich es medium bestellt hatte. Soße dünn wie Wasser und die Pfefferkörner konnte man auch zählen. Einzig; der Salat war reichlich und gut gewürzt, Dressing ausreichend. Getränkepreise ein Horror! Wir setzten unsere Besuch dort mal eine Zeitlang aus. Leider.......

Frozen goods for noble restaurant prices! Tk schnitzel, TK pork medallions, Knorr and Maggie sauces. It is also unbelievable what prices are charged for this. A schnitzel with fries and salad for 22.90 is exorbitant considering the quality and quantity! Never again! For the restaurant's response: Sorry, the schnitzel cost 21.90. You can believe it or not that it's frozen, but it certainly tasted like it! Aside from the salad, I looked in vain for fresh ingredients!

Staff hardly talk to you. When we asked what the “type of house” sauce was, we got the answer: A sauce! Unfortunately, schnitzels are only frozen products and ready-made sauces. The price is absolutely not appropriate for finished products!

We ate there as a patchwork, everyone had different wishes, they were implemented without doing anything, everyone received their food almost at the same time. Starter pepperoni...were so delicious and bread was also available extra upon request. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut, von daher eigentlich 4-5 Sterne. Leider kam das Essen erst nach 1,5h. Das Essen unserer Tochter, die sehr Hunger hatte kam auf Nachfrage, ob dieses Essen vorzuziehen ist wenigstens nach 60 Minuten. Der Service war auch sehr gut, hier auch 4 Sterne. Der Restaurantbesuch war als Geburtstagsessen der Mutter angelegt. Dadurch, dass sich das Essen so stark verzögert hatte, war das Erlebnis leider ein leichter Reinfall. Es war zwar viel los, aber knapp 1,5h auf ein Essen warten, ist schon ziemlich heftig und macht man nur 1x.

There is a good mix of Palatinate, Italian and Indian dishes here. Picata Milanese was extremely tasty. It is a shame, however, that you are only informed when paying that card payment is not possible. Which is of course a problem when it comes to who you want to pay for a larger company. A note in advance or a note on the door would be helpful.

Today 1/13/24 We wanted to have lunch here at 11:30. But unfortunately it wasn't open. No indication that it was closed or perhaps closed due to illness. We waited at least 20 minutes. It's very sad because the menu sounded tempting.

We were treated to delicious food in a beautiful restaurant

So we had dinner there today for our birthday. The food (8 different dishes) was all very good. Freshly and honestly cooked, can't understand the negative reviews. But to top it off, there were birthday decorations on the table (which was very nice of the hosts). And at the end the friendly chef came out of the kitchen to congratulate us personally and give us a small gift. Now honestly, where else is that big these days? The owners are super nice people and we will come back often...it tastes very good here and you feel very comfortable! Very good restaurant

Sehr leckeres bodenständiges Essen

Wir waren heute seit langem (Besitzerwechsel) wieder hier und es war sehr lecker! Service aufmerksam, jedoch nicht aufdringlich. Wartezeiten zeitlich passend. Der Chef schaute ebenfalls am Tisch vorbei. Preise vollkommen in Ordnung. Gerne wieder :-)

Am Telefon und auch vor Ort war das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir gehen definitiv wieder hin. Die schlechten Rezensionen kann ich zum aktuellen Zeitpunkt nicht verstehen. Bei den vorherigen Inhabern durchaus. Hoffe, dass dieser Ruf den neuen Inhabern beim Erfolg nicht im Wege steht.

Essen und Bewirtung waren sehr gut. Park Möglichkeiten und das Ambiente sind sehr gemütlich. Jederzeit wieder.

War total begeistert Essen super Bedienung super kann mir nicht vorstellen dass manche sich beschweren wenn ich natürlich einen Flammkuchen bestelle und auf das WC gehe und das Essen im freien auf dem Tisch steht und ich zurück komme ist es natürlich dass er Flammkuchen kalt ist da er ja dünn gebacken wird

Wegen den vielen notorischen Nörglern (wo waren die denn bitte ALLE beim Vorbesitzer) melde ich mich jetzt auch mal! Seit die neuen Inhaber da sind, gehen ich und Freunde dort mit Freude regelmäßig essen. Denn jetzt gibt es ENDLICH mal qualitativ hochwertiges Fleisch/Fisch usw. - halt alles was vorher gefehlt hat. Ein weiteres Beispiel: Der vorherige Koch hat das Rumpsteak immer platt geklopft wie ein Schweineschnitzel und das, obwohl wir und viele andere Gäste ihn daraufhin gewiesen haben, dass man das mit einem Rumpsteak nicht macht. Selbst Kellner, die bei ihm mal mit bedient haben, haben ihn darauf aufmerksam gemacht - ohne Erfolg. Ich könnte viele andere Beispiele hier aufführen. JETZT EIN RUMPSTEAK IN DER SCHEUNE ZU ESSEN IST EIN GENUSS !!! Wir waren noch nie vom Essen bei den neuen Inhabern in der Scheune enttäuscht. Ich weiß von sehr vielen, die wegen dem vorherigen Inhaber und seiner Frau das Lokal schon lange gemieden haben, jetzt aber wieder mit Freude regelmäßig dorthin essen gehen. Ich hoffe nur, dass die Nörgler etc. im Herbst und Winter auch wirklich der Scheune fern bleiben, damit wir anderen einen Platz bekommen können.

Wir waren das 1. Mal wieder im Restaurant nach dem Besitzerwechsel. Positiv ist schon mal der Außenbereich mit den Tischen. Früher sah es hier oft unschön aus. Die Tischreservierung hat prima geklappt. Wir waren positiv überrascht, daß das Lokal unter indischer Leitung geführt wird. Im Großen u. Ganzen ist die Speisekarte (italienisch ausgerichtet) des Vorbesitzers übernommen worden. Es gibt zur Zeit 3 indische Essen. Wir hatten u.a. die beiden Chicken-Gerichte bestellt. Wir waren total begeistert. Hervorragende Qualität, excellentes, frisch zubereitetes Curry u. der Reis dazu 1A ! Unsere Freunde hatten Tagliatelle m. Pfifferlinge u. Schweineschnitzel. Service: Die freundliche Bedienung kam gleich zu uns, das frisch zubereitete Essen wurde in der dafür erforderlichen Zeit für alle gleichzeitig reserviert. Das doch günstige Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis zu anderen Restaurants ist zu erwähnen. Wir können uns auf keinen Fall den negativen Bewertungen anschließen. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt.

So nun nach langem Aufenthalt in adams alte Scheune schreibe ich hier mal ne Bewertung.. Zum Service hab ich zwei Sterne gegeben. Grund, anfangs waren die Wartezeiten kurz aufgrund größerer Gesellschaft wurde das warten aufs Essen ewig ca. 2 Stunden, je später der Abend je weniger interessierte man sich für uns den Bedingungen möchte ich nichts unterstellen es war einfach zu viel nur schade für deren Geldbeutel .. Getränke 20min und länger leer und normal ist man gewöhnt gefragt zu werden ob man nochmals möchte hier musste man es fast aufzwingen ebenso das bezahlen der Rechnung. Hier deutlicher Verbesserungsbedarf!! Zum Essen. Top! Schweine Medaillons mit Haussoße und Pommes sehr lecker Ambiente: urig, schön & rustikal Zur Speisekarte: bisl viel Auswahl für eine italienisches Deutsche Küche, Pfälzer indisch und Fisch gibts auch noch Letztendlich lecker essen aber bringt viel Zeit mit oder schickt ein freiwilligen vor der schon mal alles bestellt

Die neuen Betreiber sollten sich entscheiden, ob sie jetzt pfälzische, deutsche, italienische, indische oder noch ganz anderes als Küche anbieten wollen, aber doch nicht alles zusammen... Auf der Karte steht neben Chicken Curry, das Rumpsteak, neben Pizza noch Flammkuchen und diverse Fischteller. So durcheinander schmeckt es dann leider auch... Location ist schön, vor allem außen. Leider war der Kinderstuhl komplett versifft.

Nun ja, ich habe eine kleine Pizza bestellt , im warten Sinne Klein und eine große Pizza, die eine normale war , 18,50 Euro mich sieht man da nie wieder....

Ich verstehe die schlechten Bewertungen garnicht. Kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Es ist ein gemütliches Restaurant mit Ambiente und sehr leckerem Essen zu absolut akzeptablen Preisen. Ich empfehle das Argentinische Rumpsteak mit Pfifferlingen. Sehr lecker! Höchsten die Deko ist etwas kitschig und es steht hier und da Flohmarktmaterial als Deko herum. Aber wer ein nobles Restaurant will mit hochwertiger Einrichtung soll halt woanders hingehen anstatt alles schlecht zu reden.
