Abtsbergschänke in Niederkassel

We celebrated our 70th birthday. The restaurant was opened especially for us at lunchtime. The service and food were excellent. We would like to thank the Lux family very much for the successful celebration.

My dinner today at Dan's Kitchen, which was part of the advertised "Shrimp Evening", was unfortunately a disappointment. I ordered the shrimp for €34.90, which was disappointing in terms of taste: blandly seasoned and served with intestines - an absolute no-go, especially at an event that specifically focuses on shrimp. The side dishes didn't make things any better: there was just plain bread that looked like it came from a discount store and a completely average aioli. For the price I would have at least expected the side dishes to be filling - but unfortunately here too the cooking was done on a low budget. Like many other guests, I had to order a burger afterwards to fill myself up. Including drinks, the evening cost me a total of over €50. I've rarely been so annoyed.

I am very impressed with this beautiful restaurant! Was there for the first time yesterday to celebrate a birthday. It was great! :)

An excellent Greek restaurant with an atmospheric ambience and excellent food. The souvlaki was grilled to perfection, tender and aromatic, accompanied by fresh, perfectly balanced side dishes. The service was extremely friendly, professional and always attentive. An all-round successful visit – highly recommended!

You can definitely do it every now and then, and I'll definitely stop by again. 3/5⭐️
