1456 Arber in Rheinfelden (Baden)

My cousin and I both ordered a Hugo. I had my ID with me, she didn't. After paying, we were told to "trick" a different waitress next time. The Hugo was also inedible. Simply unfriendly and disrespectful. (This wasn't an isolated incident with the waitresses.)

The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The gentleman behind the counter could be a little more friendly. You have to smile during service, whether you want to or not. I've heard this before. We'll try it next time. We'll be back 😉 Update: Service has improved, and the manager is friendlier too. 5 stars. Update May 2025: Service rating down to 3 stars. There's no more espresso at 9:30 PM on Saturday evening because the coffee machine is in cleaning mode. After consulting with friends and acquaintances, this has happened to a few people. It's pretty annoying, so to speak 😀

I visited the 1456 Arber in Rheinfelden and was overall very satisfied. The ambiance is cozy and very inviting, both inside and out.

I really enjoy coming to Arber. The burger is very tasty and the service is always friendly and warm.

From time to time we have lunch or dinner in the Arber Restaurant. The food is always delicious, the dishes are attractive and presented with great attention to detail. The boss is friendly and the service staff is nice, professional and always helpful - they are happy to provide information and explain the dishes. I recommend this restaurant with conviction. 👍❤️

Great food, nice and great service

Nobody needs the store, unfortunately nothing was really good, neither the friendliness, the food, the service, the toilets, nor the ambience, sorry.

1 Star – Worst service I have ever experienced We arrived on April 10th. We went to the restaurant at around 5:45 p.m. and had to wait for 15-20 minutes without anyone paying attention to us - no greeting, no drinks menu, nothing. Only after I went in and actively asked for service did a visibly frustrated and disinterested waitress come to our table. She took our order reluctantly and indifferently - no smile, no "you're welcome", just an annoyed look. When she brought the drinks and I took my Corona from the tray (as is usual in any normal restaurant), I was reprimanded by her with the words "That's not possible" and a look that was anything but hospitable. The tone was aggressive and rude – completely inappropriate. I have eaten in over 50 countries and more than 1,000 restaurants - but I have never encountered such arrogant and unprofessional behavior from a waitress. Someone like that simply doesn't belong in the restaurant industry. The prices were also completely excessive - but that would have been the smallest problem if the service had been good. Conclusion: Never again. I would give 0 stars if that were possible. A single disaster - and that was solely due to the miserable waitress.

We were banned from playing cards without explanation, even though we ate and drank something. I just find something like that in a half-full restaurant just cheeky. The waiter was also very unfriendly and seemed extremely annoyed. The tarte flambée wasn't really good either. Only the atmosphere was fine.

Nice place. Food was very tasty and the service was super fast. Relaxed atmosphere.

Everything was perfect, very friendly and good food, I would love to come back.

The food was delicious and the portion was very large. The waitress seemed annoyed with her job and was therefore not particularly friendly.

Wonderful food and very friendly service.

The Hot Chilli Burger was rather good. The meat was fried for too long, the vegetables were very cold 🥶 which is why the food got cold very quickly. Lots of lettuce in the burger. The bun comforted well. The potato wedges, fried in the pan, were unfortunately very greasy. The potato wedges are not freshly prepared. The cocktail sauce is fresh from the supermarket.

Disappointing frozen burger! Consistency more like hard rubber. Taste more like a stable. The corresponding flavorings are supposed to replace the missing feeling on the palate... Who wants to eat a warm brake pad? The salad was fresh, the three potato pieces had probably been warmed up in the microwave. The service was really nice (but unfortunately that doesn't fill you up). Oh yes - better take a slice of “Yes” processed cheese with you from home if you want a cheeseburger. This one slice makes the only difference to the normal burger and costs a whopping 4 euros extra!!!!

As always, 1456 Arbor does not disappoint! Closest thing to an American burger in town. Love it!!

Been there several times, always good. This time I had a nightcap. Very tasty gin.

Good food at a reasonable price with a drink of €15, you decide for yourself.

Der Burger war sehr lecker und die Portion gross. Ich war auf jeden Fall anschliessend papsatt.

Eigentlich ein schöner Laden, aber der Service ist unterirdisch! Schön reicht manchmal nicht aus. Ich fragte anfangs, ob das ich mit meinem Hund rein darf. Sie sagten ja. Ich habe mich weit hinten hingesetzt, damit ich und mein Hund Ruhe haben. Naja, so viel Ruhe wollte ich dann doch nicht. Denn nach dem 1. Bier kam 30 Minuten niemand mehr vorbei, sodass ich nach vorne an die Theke gehen musste. Da habe ich noch ein Bier bestellt. 3,5€ für eine kleine Becks Flasche ist sehr teuer! Das ist aber nebensächlich. Nachdem ersten Schluck, kam ein Gast an uns vorbei, der nicht nüchtern schien zu sein und hat meinen Hund angesprochen. Ich sagte ihm, lass es, der Hund ist noch jung und will gleich hier spielen. Er hat damit nicht aufgehört. So war es auch, mein Hund fing zu toben an (an der Leine) und bellte 1x. Da verzieht der Typ hinter der Theke (Sicher der Chef) sein Gesicht, schüttelt den Kopf, schaut mich an und geht weg. Sie, hinter der Theke machte auch so einen sehr unhöflichen Gesichtsausdruck, sodass ich dann die 90% volle Flasche auf die Theke gestellt habe, mich bedankt und gegangen bin. Ich bin zum letzten Mal da gewesen. Sowas brauche ich nicht. Wenn Hunde in dem Lokal rein dürfen, müssen sie davon ausgehen, dass sie nicht immer ruhig sind. Zumal mein Hund von einem besoffenen Gast, der im Lokal getrunken hatte, gegen meinen Willen den Hund angesprochen und hochgebracht hat. Das fand ich eigentlich nicht mal so schlimm. Ich freue mich ja, wenn Leute mit meinem Hund Spaß haben. Aber die Reaktion der 2 Personen hinter der Theke habe ich nicht verstanden! Sie sollten lieber Hunde nicht reinlassen, da sie davon anscheinend keine Ahnung haben. Mich wird man in dem Laden nicht mehr sehen! Wo mein Hund nicht willkommen ist, da will ich auch nicht hin. Allgemein finde ich die Atmosphäre in dem Laden sehr schlecht. Das lag zu 100% an die 2 hinter der Theke. Deutschland wird immer mehr zur Service Wüste. Sie sind der beste Beweis dafür!

Guter Koch, schlechter Service.

Essen lecker bis ok. Mitarbeiter geben den Eindruck genervt und gelangweilt von den Kunden zu sein. Da mag man nicht wiederkommen.

Das Personal war da aber mehr auch nicht. So gibts halt auch kein Trinkgeld. Freudlichkeit und ein lächen ist doch das a und o im Gastgwerbe.

Tolles kleines Restaurant mit schoener Terasse in der Fussgaengerzone. Sind sehr freundlich mit Hunden und hat genuegend Platz.

Freundlich, fast übertrieben, aber echt nett. An der Deko könnte man was machen draußen.

Die Kellnerin war ein bisschen still, Essen ging so und Ambiente okay.

Leckeres Essen und guter Service

Ein excellenter Burger wurde für uns in kurzer Zeit bereitet und schnell serviert. Er hat super geschmeckt.

Das Lokal sieht ordentlich und sauber aus (wir waren draussen), schöne Tische und Stühle, sauber. Der Service ist zügig, allerdings scheinen alle, die dort arbeiten so ziemlich lustlos zu sein. Das Essen ist ok, nichts besonderes aber auch nicht schlecht.

Kalbs Cordonbleu gefüllt mit Champignons und Gorgonzola. Gebratene Kartoffeln, das war's. War gerade OK. Preis Leistung zu teuer.

Einfache Spaghetti wurden verkocht, obwohl sonst niemand im Lokal war. Dazu läuft hier Radio oder so und man muss sich die ganze Zeit Werbung anhören. Das finde ich unheimlich nervig. Ich gehe nicht aus und zahle Geld, um die ganze Zeit Werbung zu hören.

Sehr leckeres Essen, nettes Personal, schönes Lokal.

Einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Sehr nett kann ich nur empfehlen.

Empfehlung von mir. Die Location ist unkompliziert, nicht zu laut, das Essen ist gut, die Portionen grosszügig, Service ist schnell und freundlich. Ich komm wieder mal, danke!

Wir hatten nur einen Cocktail. Kostet im Schnitt 9€. Es gibt auch alkoholfreie Cocktails. Service war OK, man sitzt ganz nett. Liegt in der Fußgängerzone, keine direkte Anfahrt mit dem Auto möglich. Gut für einen Drink vor dem Kinobesuch beim "Rheinflimmern".

Das Essen (die 🍔) sind ordentlich. Der Service war nicht zufriedenstellend. Freundlichkeit sieht anders aus. Wir mussten, obwohl das Lokal schwach besucht war, jedesmal auf uns aufmerksam machen wenn Getränke nachbestellt werden sollten. Ich gebe immer reichlich Trinkgeld. Hier hatte ich keinen Grund dazu.

Nettes Personal und leckeres Essen, es könnten aber auch gerne mehr Kartoffelspalten sein 😅

Essen war gut. Der Service ist nicht aufmerksam und man muss sich seine Getränke schon fast selbst holen. Insgesamt in ordnung

Not too bad, but nothing special either

Service war freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider kam bei uns ein falsches Essen, ansonsten alles super.

Tolle Burger, freundliche und schnelle Bedienung

Our meal was fairly good, just little too small portions. However, on the menu card there was Hacker Pschorr listed, which they didn't have at this location. Addentionally, they used Andechs Beer glasses and served those with Paulaner Beer. Using menu placeholders of Hacker Pschorr they did not have is a disgrace to me.
