Delicious veal cheeks, the glazed roots were too al dente for my liking, and the potato gratin was a bit bland. Reasonably priced. The house wine was quite good. Large outdoor area in the weather-protected winter garden. Attentive staff.

The staff is super friendly, it was fun to see that there are still people who enjoy their job, or at least make an effort to make guests feel comfortable.

Very nice restaurant, great food and great service. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio for the food and drinks is not right. €5.30 for a 0.4 Cola is far too expensive, especially if you're eating with children who also like to have two drinks. It's a shame, we'd like to come back.

We had all-you-can-eat tapas, and the idea was good. The food, however, wasn't that great. The chicken wings, calamari, scampi, and so on were probably some kind of frozen food from a discount store. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was excellent.

It's a nice place to sit, and the people are very friendly. I found the food to be of rather poor quality and overpriced.

So 4.0 stars is ridiculous. This restaurant truly fulfills all your needs. The food was incredibly delicious (we had tapas and spare ribs). The staff was super attentive and quick, and the ambiance was truly inviting. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be back very soon. 5 stars!!!

La Madera ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was just too hungry. I completely forgot to take a photo of the veal schnitzel, which says it all. The food was outstanding, the meat was super tender, the side dishes were spot on, and the two cherry coconut cocktails alone are worth the visit. Sweet and creamy with a coconut kick, simply perfect. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was really cozy, modern and stylish. I felt very comfortable. I'll definitely be back, and next time I promise there will be a picture of the food.

First things first: The homemade spare ribs from the lunch menu (€14.90) were fantastic—and that's ultimately the most important thing. The meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone. The fries, on the other hand, were nothing special. I was also a bit surprised that the spare ribs didn't at least come with a wet wipe in case you wanted to get your hands on a rib. Although it was barely busy at my time (12:30 p.m. on a Friday), I had to wait quite a long time (over 10 minutes) to place my order. I also didn't see any bike racks, although there were at least places to lock bikes relatively close and within sight (see photos). Music, at least from where I was sitting, was so faint that it might as well have been turned off. Mixed with the light noise of the main road, it became more of a noise. I would also have appreciated homemade lemonades as an alternative to Fanta, Sprite, and the like. I did, however, really like the airy winter garden, which was very pleasant on such a mild summer day. The weekly changing lunch specials (three dishes each, see photo) are also a nice touch.

Beautiful steakhouse with plenty of seating. Drinks were well chilled and perfectly mixed. The house burger with potato slices and the tapas were delicious, but unfortunately, both dishes were only lukewarm when served. Some of the staff were very short-tempered, probably a bit stressed due to the big birthday party upstairs.

Unfortunately, it was incredibly loud there. The service staff was extremely stressed and at times overwhelmed. We took advantage of the all-you-can-eat tapas offer. Unfortunately, it always took a while for the food to arrive and also for the table to be cleared and we could order again. The appetizer arrived right before the first round, and because the table was so small, we had to place it on a piece of furniture next to us. Some of the portions were almost too large, but also very tasty! The selection of tapas included in the offer was sufficient.

A truly above-average restaurant. I was invited to a birthday brunch. I've rarely seen such a selection, including hot dishes. Only high-quality food, regularly replenished. The service is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is cozy and well-kept. Outside, the restaurant has a beautifully decorated "winter" garden. On the upper floor, where the dining rooms and the buffet are located, there is a large covered roof terrace for smokers.

We were back in Madeira after a long absence. The restaurant has a new roof over the terrace with plenty of tables. Despite the many tables, the seating is very comfortable and pleasant. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes and drinks, so there should be something for everyone. We had asparagus soup, rump steak, and asparagus with ham, as well as chocolate mousse. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The dishes are made with fresh ingredients and are delicious. The service was very attentive and friendly. We would be happy to come back.

The asparagus platter is edible, but it doesn't offer the right value for money. The Wiener Schnitzel was excellent, and the breading was superb. You can skip the chicken, beef, and ham. The potatoes were very disappointing, as they were already sprouting.

Yesterday we went to La Madera for brunch after a long time. In the last few years we have been there often for brunch, but also to eat á la carte. We were very disappointed with yesterday's brunch. Due to an additional event in the upper part of the restaurant, brunch was held on the ground floor - okay so far. At first glance, however, it was already apparent that the selection of dishes (this meant the variety of antipasti and cold dishes) was significantly limited. It started at 10 a.m. and the hot food was already kept warm in the food warmer. However, by the time we started at 10 a.m. the food wasn't even warm anymore, some of it was only lukewarm, which was a shame. Furthermore, the filter coffee (part of the brunch price) was very thin and looked like iced tea. A new pot was brought to us, but the problem was still there. Unfortunately we had to switch to other drinks. We've been to La Madera in the past, but we're used to something different and we were all very disappointed yesterday, especially since the price of 34.90 euros per person no longer corresponds to the price/performance ratio. We all felt like yesterday's brunch was simply done as a takeout business, but the focus was on the event upstairs. Unfortunately, that is a very, very unfortunate thing. Even if the location is great and the ambience is right, we will no longer have brunch at La Madera in the future.

Die Burger, die meine Freundin und ich hatten, waren mega, die Kartoffelstreifen aus frischen, gerösteten Kartoffeln super lecker und der La Madera Salat, den mein Freund hatte war ebenfalls zu seiner vollsten Zufriedenheit. Der Kellner war sehr sehr freundlich, aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein und hatte Spaß an seinem Job. Ich werde mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal dort gewesen sein und kann mit voller Überzeugung eine 1+ geben

My wife and I have been here several times for tapas. Since we were always very satisfied, I celebrated my 70th birthday there with 18 people. We were there for brunch on Sunday. Everything was right. The food was great. The staff was friendly and the room was lovingly decorated. All guests were completely satisfied. We can only recommend La Madera.

Actually a nice restaurant. When placing a group, we were given a very unfavorable table. We always had to have several People get up when you are wanted to leave the place. Brunch for children between 12 and 15 years old is not recommended as hardly anything was eaten and you pay the full price. Drinks like water or cola etc. must be paid extra. The food was very good and varied. Unfortunately the service was overwhelmed this time. Otherwise a good restaurant if you is placed sensibly.

Very tasty tapas. We were tired of tapas and were very satisfied. Nice and attentive service. Price performance was also good. The homemade sorbet was particularly delicious. There is a harmonious atmosphere and enough parking spaces in front of the store. We'll definitely be back.

Sehr schlechter Service, arroganter Umgang mit Gästen!!! Wir kamen als Familie mit 2 kleinen Kindern und hatten im Vorfeld um den Tisch an der Kinderspielecke gebeten. Als wir kamen wurde uns ein Tisch im oberen Stockwerk zugewiesen, obwohl der begehrte Tisch noch frei war und mit derselben Personenzahl eingedeckt war! Kein Entgegenkommen von Seiten des Personals! Später haben wir dann gesehen, dass dort Leute mit 2 Hunden platziert waren! Unglaublich! Für solch Überheblichkeit werden wir nie wieder dorthin fahren.

Disappointing - we won't be coming back! 😔 We were regular guests, but this time we were very disappointed. Many items on the menu (e.g. Pata Negra, Serrano ham, beef medallion) were not available. Instead of Serrano ham, there was simple bacon from the salad bar. Vitello Tonnato only with turkey instead of veal. No more roast beef at the salad bar either. The raspberry sorbet wasn't as tasty either. Everything seemed like austerity measures. What a shame!

Tried the spare ribs offer today. 19.90€ all you can eat. Given the price, I didn't have high expectations. And lo and behold, when it's really tasty, you're even happier. The service was friendly and attentive. At the beginning we were asked whether we wanted to eat pork or beef ribs. As a side dish there were very tasty and crispy potato chips and a bowl of coleslaw. And if I'm honest, the first portion would have been enough. The second slide was only eaten because these ribs were so juicy and super tender. Price-performance ratio is unbeatable. We'll come back and test the next offers.

Unfortunately, the food at La Madera varies greatly in terms of portions. But everything tastes bomb! I have always been satisfied with the service so far. Everyone was very professional, attentive and personable. The only point where the restaurant is weak in my opinion is the ambience. Unfortunately, due to the large number of people in one room, the volume is correspondingly high. Sometimes my ears really fall off. However, I still really like the setup! In summary, I think La Madera is a restaurant that I would recommend again and again. It's simply worth a visit!

We had dinner there with a few stable guys and came with great anticipation. The shop was not well attended...there was still a group of women sitting in the restaurant and one or two other tables were occupied...as far as we could see on the ground floor. The drinks arrived 20 minutes after ordering and the food arrived another 20-25 minutes later. So far everything was within reason, but every now and then you asked yourself where the waiter was. We ordered - of course - the ALL YOU CAN EAT. We had to use our dirty plates constantly. Unfortunately, every subsequent order came with incorrect orders. Unfortunately, in keeping with the previous picture, we were never asked for drinks. After several orders and the table becoming increasingly full, something was only cleared away when requested. We didn't feel welcome, an evening like this depends on the service and it really wasn't worth 1 star that evening. It's a shame, because we were happy to come back because of the advertised ALL YOU CAN EAT, because it wasn't bad in general.

(complaining at a high level) The cucumber salad with the Wiener Schnitzel was delicious, but the style of schnitzel wasn't my thing. The schnitzel itself was really nicely breaded. Tried the La Madera Burger today, unfortunately it was so bad. The bun was dry and hard, hardly any sauce on the burger and no taste. The young waiter preferred to chat instead of asking if everything was OK. When I paid I asked the waiter about it but there was no response. Takes the burger off the menu. Don't know if I'll go there again.

We have always been quite happy with the restaurant. But our visit today, the first time in a while, was a complete disaster. We wanted to take advantage of the tapas offer on Sunday. As soon as we ordered our tapas from an older waiter, he kept coming to our table and persistently asking us to help ourselves to the salad bar. Our first order only came after 1 hour!!! But that's not even complete. When we told the older waiter that something was still missing, he just looked stupid and walked away without a word. After half an hour we pointed out to the waiter again that something was missing, which received the same reaction. It wasn't until we told him this for the third time in the presence of a second waitress that something happened. 15 minutes later the missing tapas arrived. The waiter then came back to the table and picked up the next round of tapas. This came after another 45 minutes!!! Again incomplete. Again we had to say that something was missing and again it took 30 minutes until we were told that the dishes we ordered were out. So we had to order new ones again, which were then served after 20 minutes. For dessert we ordered the almond cake because we had had it often in the past and found it very tasty. Again it took over 30 minutes (afterwards they told us that they had forgotten our order and only made it ready immediately when we asked, but didn't charge us). And it was a completely different cake than usual. Not in a positive way. In terms of taste, it was absolutely bad (it used to be a kind of almond tart with almonds on top, now it was a brown, tastelessly sweet block), was dry and seemed like an old, frozen cake. There was also vanilla ice cream, which was full of ice crystals and had already been thawed. All in all, the evening was an absolute disaster and really ruined the mood of the evening. I was very annoyed. I don't know if the staff changed while we weren't there, but it's never been this bad before.

Im La Madera Steakhouse habe ich meinen 80. Geburtstag in einer Runde von 23 Personen gefeiert. Es war in jeder Hinsicht hervorragend! Die Tischdekoration war geschmackvoll arrangiert und schuf eine einladende Atmosphäre. Alle Gäste waren begeistert von dem Essen, von der Vorspeise über die individuell ausgewählten Hauptgerichte bis hin zum Dessert. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam, dabei jedoch keineswegs aufdringlich. Sie erfüllten Sonderwünsche stets freundlich und prompt. Es gab keinen Anlass für Beanstandungen, auch die Abwicklung der Rechnungslegung verlief reibungslos und war fair. Kurz gesagt, es war ein rundum gelungener Tag!

Nie wieder!! All you can eat ist reine abzocke! Kein Entgegenkommen vom GF! Gut dass es noch andere Restaurants gibt ; ) haben erst nach knapp einer Stunde essen bekommen - nur 2 Personen von uns… die anderen beiden durften noch 20 min warten.. Nachschlag gab es nur 1 mal nach einer weiteren 3/4 Stunde.. echt ein Witz

It's a shame, but that's not how we remembered it... Super noisy because of the wedding party with open doors... Unfortunately, the food took far too long, but it was tasty... but we still won't be able to eat at the bbq again... completely overwhelmed and only got food twice in just under 2 hours.

We ate there yesterday; the ambiance was really lovely, very comfortably furnished, and inviting. We had a variety of starters for dinner; the platter was okay; for the money (€15.90), I would have expected more. For the main course, we had the Chateaubriand, a 250g beef fillet per person (medium rare) with potatoes and roasted vegetables. I have to say, the meat was perfect and the side dishes were delicious. We also ordered fried potatoes, which, in retrospect, was overkill on our part, but they weren't good enough for our taste. The service was always friendly, but the drinks order was a bit sloppy. We ordered a white wine (Chardonnay), but what arrived was a rosé. The second round was the white wine we had originally ordered. They also served two large non-alcoholic Alsters. All in all, it's a lovely restaurant with a feel-good atmosphere, but I didn't think the price/performance ratio was right for what we ended up getting. There are definitely better restaurants here where you get more and leave happier even with €130.

We were there for lunch with a large group on Christmas Day 2024. We ourselves had our 4 kids with us. - There was a special Christmas card. Before we went to the restaurant, we and our children looked at what there was to eat. There was enough choice on the online menu, unfortunately the menu on site was no longer as extensive. There weren't even fries or baked potatoes that day. However, we were only told this after repeated inquiries. - There were only three children's meals: Cheeseburger (approx. 18€), Wiener Schnitzel (approx. 18€) and rump steak (approx. 16€). Our kids mostly ate their fill of starter bread, as we also had to wait forever for the waitress to respond to the availability of fries - My wife's steak wasn't even asked about the cooking point and as quickly as the service was for the next guest, my wife couldn't comment on anything - my Wiener Schnitzel looked very much like a deep fryer. The edges are very, very dark and the breading is extremely evenly browned. Unfortunately the schnitzel consisted more of breading than meat (approx. 30€) - a change of side dish was charged at a flat rate of €2.50, which I find really cheeky. - the upper floor was so crowded and fully booked that you could hardly understand your own words. A really unpleasant atmosphere. We also left immediately after the last bit because our children simply couldn't stand it in this crowded room We ended up having a children's meal, two regular mains and drinks. The bill came to over €110! We also mentioned some of the above points directly to our waitress; management's decisions were bluntly pointed out here. They didn't make any effort at all to make our stay a pleasant one. In summary, it can be said that the prices could in no way be justified by the quality of the food. The atmosphere for a family Christmas dinner was a disaster. Our children couldn't really eat anything. The service was sluggish and disinterested. We would have had a better time at McD**** or something similar for less money.

Unfortunately there is not enough choice for all you can eat. Service was great and the store was really nice.

We had booked brunch. The cold side was OK. The sauce from the Vitello was super tasty - but the meat wasn't veal. The warm dishes consisted of duck, roast pork, salmon, potato gratin, beans and cream wheat. The duck was - sorry... far dry and had a strange taste. Unfortunately, nothing is refilled in the meantime and if you start a little later, the duck will already be in the container for an hour. Of course this is not for poultry. Unfortunately the beans weren't cooked either. All in all the price was €35 per person. not justified. Especially because the hot dishes were never freshly refilled. The quantity was sufficient, but it would be better to replenish smaller quantities little by little. The location is actually quite nice. Spacious, handicapped accessible with elevator and good sanitary facilities.

Unfortunately the space wasn't that good, as soon as the door opened it pulled, the staff just said it would be closed again, which unfortunately wasn't the case, those who came in probably had bags at home. The fish quickly ran out and was not refilled. Despite being reminded twice, I waited 45 minutes for dessert; it was ice cream with hot sauce. An absolute no go

Tried it for the first time last night. The food was quite tasty, there was roast beef with shrimps and a Cesar salad, the roast beef portion was very generous and tasty. The salad could have been a little more, the parmesan was forgotten, but the extremely friendly service ladies excused it with a home-made schnapps. Didn't detract from the taste. We would love to come back and are looking forward to the tapas. The long opening hours are also great, so nighttime hunger can be satisfied.

We ate BBQ All You Can Eat. Spareribs, rump, shrimp and, as a side dish, potato dippers and garlic bread. The ribs were super tender and fell off the bone very well. The steak was cooked medium. It was very tasty and well fried. The shrimp were still in their shells. Very tasty in taste. When you had finished your plate, you were asked if anything else should be brought. The service would have liked to have come by more often. The drinks had been empty for a while and I would have liked to order more. The restaurant is very large, but still cozy. Would love to come back.

We ate here with the family on Boxing Day. It was more than disappointing, the food was lukewarm, partly dry and far too expensive for the quality. I can definitely do it better at home! The dessert was good. The service was unstructured, you were basically given breakfast (the shop wasn't full) Not unfriendly though. For us it will be the last time. Very unfortunate!

Tapas food was ok in terms of food, but not exceptionally good. Service very slow. There is often a 30-40 minute wait between ordering tapas and eating.

Overall impression The food is ok, the service is incredibly inattentive and the overall result is very disappointing and not exactly recommended. Eat We had the tapas all you can eat, some of the tapas are good such as the dates wrapped in bacon or the marinated beef skewers, but mostly nothing special / nothing that really stands out. Other tapas like the calamaris are not recommended at all. Some tapas were also brought incomplete, e.g. the potatoes without salt and dip. Service We were more or less ignored and had to stand up and wave until someone finally came to us. After ordering, it took at least 30 minutes for each round until the food came and then it was small portions so you can eat for 5 minutes and then have to wait 30 minutes until something comes again. atmosphere It's big, open and incredibly loud. The chairs and benches aren't exactly comfortable, but everything is very clean.

Just great: the service was Extraordinary, there was a serenade and a cocktail for the 90th birthday. The dishes were very tasty, beautifully presented, especially the dessert options. An all-round successful celebration

Unfortunately it has worn off. We are there with events at regular intervals. Apparently something is still open and the last guest in the group is then harassed. Yesterday I was supposed to pay for chocolate ice cream. It was obviously already canceled in the checkout. So one line plus and another line with minus. The waiter was unfriendly all evening anyway and then I have to pay for something that someone else had already paid for.

The service is absolutely top, attentive and very hard working. Visually appealing buffet, unfortunately partly cold (green beans, roast) . It was almost a given that you had to wait in line. The parking options are limited.

Very busy on Saturday, the service staff was confused. Without organization, without everything. Asked twice three times if anything was missing and forgot a few things. Unfortunately we won't be coming back again. Location is nice but somehow not quite thought through with Christmas decorations.

Very well managed, the food came to everyone at the same time and no one had to watch anyone else eat. Parking lot and too small so we had to look for something nearby and walk a bit.

You wait forever for the food! The food used to be better.

Mega delicious - whether tapas or steak, simply a culinary delight. A bit of patience is required and reservations are recommended as it is very busy.

The food, when it came, was okay, but the service was unfortunately very bad. Our service person seemed erratic and hectic, didn't write anything down and forgot a lot on the way to the kitchen. Drinks didn't come and then suddenly ran out. But in the end they were included in the bill. Overpriced for that. Unfortunately no recommendation.

La Madera as a wedding location was simply a dream! The charming combination of rustic style and modern elegance creates an incomparably warm atmosphere that is perfect for both intimate celebrations and larger wedding parties. The natural light streaming through the large windows provides wonderful conditions for authentic and atmospheric wedding photos. The lovingly designed details and the harmonious surroundings make it incredibly easy for me as a wedding photographer to capture unique moments. If you are looking for a location that is romantic and at the same time calmly stylish, you will definitely find it here.

Service was not coordinated, we had 3 different waiters in the evening, each badmouthed the other waiter. The blonde waiter was very arrogant and acted like he was the owner himself. We had "all u can eat" where we didn't receive any new plates, after we put them together we were told by this waiter "that's how you learn".
