Very good portions, reasonable prices and very tasty.

The service is good. Some of the food is pre-ordered, but they charge restaurant prices. The gyro didn't have a crispy layer due to the high turnover, but it wasn't chewy and was good to eat. Unfortunately, every plate and bowl had chips. Perhaps they should be replaced. The food is rather poorly prepared. But it doesn't matter because the customers still come.

We ate there with the family. The server was very nice and accommodating. We had to wait a bit longer for the food, but it was plentiful and delicious. The price/performance ratio was definitely good. Unfortunately, the restrooms weren't very aesthetically pleasing; they need some investment.

The amount on the plate was incredible. A small portion was more than enough. 😉 I loved the Greek radio playing in the background. I've been visiting here for three years now – always when I spend a few days in Hamburg. And it tastes simply delicious every time.

In a somewhat impersonal atmosphere, the chicken escalope and fries were good, and the small salad that came with the plate was decent. The €11 price tag is reasonable. However, we were charged €5 each for glasses of sparkling water. Communication was complicated, I admit, due to the language barrier. But still, in France, water is free and generally better served.

Oh yes, definitely. I'm a bus driver for Reisering in Bergedorf, and I have to go to Langenhorn. Due to a diversion, I stopped there immediately and enjoyed the delicious food. Normally we say... Holy cow... but here, Holy cow... 🤣👍 Highly recommended.

I'm really sorry. Not just for the money, but also because my next words won't be received positively. But that was by far...the worst gyro I've ever had. Just plain rubbish. Zero taste, zero heart. We absolutely didn't like it.

Not suitable for large groups. There were seven of us. The food was generally good and the portions were large, but despite our reservation, they kept us sitting in the rain until we were allowed to sit inside after 20 minutes. Then they served us drinks, took our orders, and made us wait almost an hour for our food. All the other small tables were given priority, and they didn't even apologize. Eating inside is not recommended. It's also more expensive to eat in than to take out.

You wait endlessly for delivery. It's delayed by hours. The delivery person doesn't answer the phone.

The shop is small but perfectly formed. The value for money is unbeatable! You get a super tasty and generous portion for your money. We usually only order takeout. And we were very satisfied. The gyro we usually order is very juicy right down to the last bite. So we decided to give it a try and we weren't disappointed! We then ordered the bifteki with Metaxa sauce and the one without. It was so juicy and filled with feta right down to the last bite. The French fries are also delicious, as is the tzatziki. The salad that comes with it is fresh and crisp and a decent portion. The service is very friendly and attentive, so you'll gladly tip a little more. We'll definitely go there again, and I'll order the gyro. Never again!!! Ordered to come to the office today on Sunday for 6 p.m. Still waiting after a 45-minute delay... After repeated inquiries, we were blatantly lied to, saying the driver would arrive in 5 minutes. At some point, they stopped answering the phone altogether. Simply disgusting.

Huge portions and good food. Friendly and efficient waiters, who immediately found us an alternative seating option after it suddenly started to rain. Great! We were given a glass of ouzo on the house before and after our meal 😎

The bifteki was so delicious, there was plenty of feta cheese, when you cut it it just came out, simply delicious, I was so impressed. I always enjoy going there.

Received the wrong order because the waitress didn't understand German, and then became rude to the customers!!! To top it all off, the customer has to pack the food themselves if they want to take something with them. Never again!! Never experienced anything like this!!

First, the wrong order was taken, and then the owner became rude. The bill included food we didn't get. Something is wrong at this snack bar! You can't expect much from a snack bar.

Visited again after a long time and still very satisfied with the food. If you want to take giros, etc. with you, it's quick and easy. Calamares probably have to thaw first and I had to wait half an hour. Then bridge the gap with a house ouzo.

Ordered for pickup on a Friday evening. Of course there was a lot going on. The service was good... I didn't like the atmosphere for eating there. The gyro wasn't really that good... could have been a little crispier. But that was more due to the mass processing. Otherwise the food was good. You can go here completely starving...

The absolutely hottest Greek in the larger area with an unbeatable price/performance ratio... Always happy... but it's better to collect than to have it delivered... (takes a little longer due to high demand 😉) The women and men there are always very warm and a well-coordinated team...

I can't even remember how many years ago I ate there for the first time. But there are at least twenty. And since then I have been a guest there more or less regularly or I get something to eat there. And that even though I now live west of Hamburg and the route is really long. It's just worth it. I've already tried the menu with only a few exceptions and I haven't found anything that I didn't like. Whether bifteki with tomato sauce or metaxa sauce, lamb souvlaki or beef liver. And of course the excellent gyros. But even the little things like gigantes, stuffed grape leaves, salads and so on are no less good. Vegetarians also get their money's worth here. The entire staff is always friendly and accommodating. There is even an ouzo available for those who are picking up something and the price level is completely acceptable for the really good quality that is offered to guests here. It's a grill joint, not a restaurant. Accordingly, the ambience is not as high-quality as in some restaurants. But considering the space available, the best was brought out for the guests indoors. The only disadvantage: wheelchair users have to overcome a 20cm step at the entrance. In summer, when the weather is nice, this is unnecessary because there is space for around 20-30 guests outside. Longer waiting times are rare - especially during peak times. I think a quarter of an hour to twenty minutes of waiting time - regardless of whether you're eating out or eating in - is absolutely OK. In any case, I can recommend the Greeks to everyone without hesitation.

I ordered through Lieferando, so I can't say anything about the service or ambience. The Gyros Special was really very good, the quantity was more than generous. Despite the freezing winter temperatures, the food arrived quickly and hot. Gladly again!

One of the rare Greek snack bars with plenty of throughput, the food is correspondingly fresh, good quality and acceptable prices. The portions are so large that you can get by with a small portion.

Classically good… best to pick up locally. You really save a lot... than with the delivery service, but I pick it up myself from the agency. ;-) it's best to take ZAZI EXTRA with you... I'll have something for two days... a happiness maker...

Service typically Greek friendliness, strict and direct. Everything looks very dingy. The main thing is enough to feed a late shift worker who has toiled for 14 hours without a break in a diamond mine near Johannesburg. But taste bland Salad without dressing, without olive, without feta. Has nothing to do with a Greek. Then we just have to wait until Taverna Mykonos opens again 🥲🥺

Location molto basica come da imbiss . Ci sta tutto. La mia recensione negativa e' dovuta solo ed esclusivamente al cameriere ( siamo andati via senza ordinare niente ) . Ci sediamo e chiediamo al cameriere teutonico chiedendo scusa per non parlare il tedesco - lui scrolla le spalle ci fa capire che il menu e' solo in lingua teutonica e che non ha nessuna intenzione di spiegarci nulla. Va via in modo molto scortese . Poi ritorna a prendere l'ordine chiediamo 2 ghyros lui ci dice sempre in modo molto scortese che la carne e' kaput , andata non c'e' . Ci alziamo e andiamo via . Classica cortesia tedesca e non e' la prima volta che ci trattano cosi. Meditate e non mettete piede in questo ristorante.

Since “The Greek” was within walking distance of our hotel, we tried it out. The food was really good and the portions were so huge that we didn't manage to finish our plates despite being very hungry. The ambience is really more of a snack bar than a restaurant - which would still be bearable. I deducted one star because our table was completely sticky - it doesn't seem to have been cleaned properly in days. That was really uncomfortable.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food. However, in my opinion the service is a disaster. Correct me if I'm wrong... I place an order for over €400 and in the end it fails because I live 3 km away. A pure disaster. They have definitely lost me as a customer.

Best Greek in Hamburg. No matter when you come, even if it's been a while since your last visit, you'll be greeted and served in a super friendly and courteous manner. Extra requests for food will be taken into account. Price performance is great. We live in the suburbs of Hamburg and plan to visit every now and then.

We enjoyed the food. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms are a bit too rustic and the constant blast of music that was too loud was downright annoying. Finding a parking space can be difficult.

This is a bistro type restaurant with a large takeaway business too. We were very happy to have an outside table on a hot evening. The food was excellent, very generous portions and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The owners were genuinely keen to know how we'd found them (map search close tour hotel, with good reviews) given we were visiting from England. There's no shortage if food outlets in the area, but this has to be one of, if not the, best. Great food, great staff, reasonable prices. Highly recommended. Next time I'm in Hamburg, I'll be back

Portion size unbeatable, but I think the days of going to the Greek restaurant because we get loads of meat for little money are over, Metaxa sauce is very bland, bifteki and gyros are very tasty, we used to eat there regularly since yesterday, I think it was but for the future. The waiter is only friendly to the guests he likes, we were always lucky, he was friendly but the service was poor, we ordered two Mytos, got 1x Mytos & 1x Holsten when we asked why we didn't get two Mytos, the waiter said We looked for errors and said who would drink the Holsten from us, otherwise he would have to throw it away. I find the service technically rather questionable. Now taking away food that wasn't delivered now costs €1.50 for packaging, okay everything It costs money now but we're back to that The customer expects a large portion at the Greek restaurant, but if I don't pay €1.50 the food ends up in the bin, which isn't exactly very sustainable, which I found really frightening. I threw a pack on the table and here you can pack it yourself for 2 meals and 2 large and 2 small beers €62 isn't a bargain either as there are other Greek restaurants in the same price range where I'm even asked if I like it etc. It's a shame but at some point all good things come to an end.

We came here quite spontaneously with my family. The selection is what you would expect from a Greek takeaway. The gyros (which the boss skewers himself every morning) are very spicy and very tasty. The tzatziki was just as tasty, the salad could have used a little more sauce, but was still quite good. The service was nice and quick. All in all a good Greek - it's a shame I don't live nearby 😉

The ambience could be nicer, seems a bit old-fashioned. The service is nice and quick to serve. But the food wasn't really tasty. The gyro was rather wobbly and the tomato sauce could hardly be seen or tasted. With tzatziki you tend to eat quark. The garlic and the spice are missing.

DER GRIECHE became a regular restaurant during my kitchen renovation. There are many authentic and very tasty Greek dishes, a very extensive menu (you can also try something in the oven!) and huge portions. Fortunately, there is also a section for the "small" hunger! Incredibly good gyros, original salads and condiments, great service and an absolutely fair price-performance ratio! I find the atmosphere more like a tavern than a snack bar. You can also sit outside (4-lane road, but sunny in the evenings). Parking situation difficult.

Friendliness somehow fluctuates or depends on the respective staff. Pitas were always very tasty, but the fries and schnitzel were unfortunately very soggy and not well seasoned. TOO much even for a snack! Better quality instead of quantity...
